Do you guys like having a background soundtrack in your games? does anyone have a set list? I'm thinking on having some music to establish the settings.
ITT: we post music that matches with certain settings.

would

be odd at a fantasy setting? it has a lot of great down time music.

I'm no music expert, but I would say that most of the soundtrack would go against fantasy. Maybe fantasy/sci-fi mix, but straight generic fantasy? Pretty bad mesh.

I guess I could just rely on legend of zelda, but it sounds a bit you know, lazy.would this meme album be funny if suddenly a band in a tavern started playing it?

JoJo part 1's soundtrack would also work really well if you're going for a horror feeling.

When I took my knights for a walk against tyranids

I was thinking about using this for a dungeon crawling with undead but I'm worried the more industrial parts might become annoying after too long, what do you guys think?

I actually picture a large army of organized enchanted armors walking to the beat towards the battlefield to this, nice. nice shit.
Does anyone have some BATTLE PIPES?

it certainly delivers the "emptiness" of the dungeon at the start, but move past 2:20 and it loses all the mystique. I would suggest to put it on a loop or something to that point.

This isn't all pipes but this is my absolute favorite fast-paced battle music

I might use it, but I was looking for something without lyrics. you know, background.

you can never go wrong with zelda man.

I have been using Midnight Syndicates Dungeons and Dragons soundtrack for years.

I've been using a mix of the Bastion, Red Dead Redemption, True Grit and Hard West soundtracks for my weird west campaign.
I also play the Westworld train theme when I do the recap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X35voOs4rQA
