Why is this a hundred dollars?

It's not, but 50 bucks is still bullshit.
>>54258134
I got a larger and better brushes kit than that for 35 dollars or so on Amazon from New Zealand.
>>54258244
What kit was it? I'm in the market for some new brushes.

The same reason boutique shirt costs hundred when you could have gotten similar one at thrift store for a tenner - designer goods with considerable mark-up for the brand logo.
>>54258134
Because people will pay a hundred dollars.
>>54258262
Hold on a minute, I have to dig through my Amazon history to find it.

It's a luxury hobby, anon. Price shouldn't matter for a quality product.
By the way. As someone who bought these regular brushes and then the Artificer brushes, I can tell you that the Artificer brushes are absolutely worth it. The regular quality brushes just can't seem to help but fray even after putting it through brush soap. This is the same thing that's happened with other brands of brushes that I've used, it's only the Artificer brushes (which are just rebranded Kolinsky Sable Series 7 brushes. Top shelf, those) that end up retaining their points long after the other brushes would have frayed. You pay twice as much, but they last more than twice as long. Be sure to keep brush soap around, though. You're wasting your money if you don't.

Here's the set but couldn't find the link

>Kolinsky Sable Series 7
Holy shit are those expensive.
The smallest (Size 3/0, .7mm) is listed at $26 and the largest (Size 12, 8.7) is listed at $630.
>>54258134
Because someone will pay that much for it.

Because it was made by African children

Yep. That's roughly the price of the artificer brushes, of which there are a few. IMO they're the best value. (Again, if you know how to take care of a brush)
