Iron gods is standard Paizo campaign, though one of the best. Village is voice, so it's shit. Pretty sure Tuvarkz is a living meme. I don't know anything about dominions of vice though.

All in all? 4/10. Ladyknights and spaghetti memes will only carry it so far, and though IG is a good AP, it's kinda meh compared to the recent campaigns we got.

In my experience that's been the biggest problem. It not only gets used to shoot the shit though, it's also the only way the GM will hear something other than what your character says in character, eventually.

If only because I've binged both seasons of this anime, part of me really wants to play a character with the ability/curse/blessing/template that would essentially give the power of pic related, that being basically having the power of a Rod of Negation in one of your hands at all times that works on any spells, spell-like abilities, or supernatural abilities, including ones being shot at you or ones that would envelop you in an AOO.

Sure it means that you couldn't use pretty much any of your body slots but as long as you're able to get up close and personal and make a touch attack against the enemy neither will they.

So how does /pgg/ feel about Avowed finally getting a LITERAL laser beam shape? The 2nd selections of area shapes being the FRA for extra area is really fucking stupid and bad, and I feel like it incentives 1-rank dips in them rather than going whole-hog. We've ended up with the opposite problem to old versions of Avowed now, where 1-2 ranks in most shapes will likely be all you ever need, unless you REALLY need to save a clause here or there or have particular shapes (IE: Blade, Grasp, Beast). The 2nd Ranks for Area Shapes should give a little more if it wants to give you a reason to park your ass for a full-round area shape.

You know, I was actually thinking about the idea of a short campaign... well, maybe campaign isn't the right word but, a short something where applicants are encouraged to apply with characters that didn't make the cut into other games. Something with a heavy RP focus, since differing chargen rules from different games would make balancing things for combat and other encounters really hard. Something pretty short, not more than a few sessions probably because I can't really afford to commit more than that, but possibly with multiple parties playing concurrently.

Less a game and more a chance to give good characters that never got pass the app process a chance to be played, even if only briefly. I'm thinking something like a masquerade ball, possibly with a completely unexpected murder or some other kind of dramatic complication.
