Once one of my characters managed to just escape an exploding factory (was counting down on a real time clock) on a fork lift.

One of my players, the designated pilot, stole a marauder interceptor and managed to 6-on-1 dogfight them. Saved the VIP, became an ace, and got to be known as "that guy who stomped the Thunderhawk Crew on their own turf", all at once.

A large metal door propelled by alchemical explosion. The steering and breaks were absolute shit, but damn if it didn't have awesome acceleration. and air time.
