I've been working at it. I got a lot of the perks and items figured out, but I'm still filling in all the slots. Part of the slowdown is because I'm trying to savor each episode. From my understanding is that Blood Pact uses their Psykers not to "cheat" like scry & die. Instead they focus mostly on support. Like buffing your allies and making daemonhosts. Khorne hates Sorcerers which from my understanding is that you dont even have to be a Psyker to be a Sorcerer, for its relying on using Chaos via rituals instead of Psychic might.

As for the difference between a psyker and a sorcerer: A psyker is someone who can directly manipulate the Immaterium by their will. All sorcerers are psykers. Sorcerers make use of rituals, rites and other discipline-focused methods to mitigate the risk - All "bound" psykers could be considered sorcerers (Including all Librarians). The term is usually only applied to those aligned with the Ruinous Powers though.

In regards to 40K no one knows what the difference between psychic powers and sorcery is because GW never fucking defines it properly.

Regarding Khorne hating psykers and the Blood Pact. Abnett writes Chaos to be mysterious, eldritch, and other worldly compared to other writers not to mention having Undivided Chaos be an actual other worldly force.

So how exactly do the Bands of the Bronze Tiger from Exalted - Solars do what they do? Is it just a raw boost to your Abilities? They seem kind of weak compared to the other 600cp Artifacts.

There's a reason why one absorbing the Time Vortex practically turns into Dr. Manhattan-and during the Time War, they actually basically lobotomised one of their own to exploit that. Even without it, in the EU during the war the Timelords used regenerations to become more suited for war; one of them actually turned into a sentient timeline.

I'm pretty sure it's more like this. None of the RPGs require you to have a psy rating before learning sorcery, and I've read several bits of fluff where non-psykers learn to play with the warp through ritual alone.

A psyker can learn sorcery for a power boost and the risk of corruption.

Otherwise, AFAIK psy-focuses and the like are like antennae, boosting a pysker's connection to the warp. It's not sorcery. Actual sorcery is messy, artificial, and causes hella amounts of corruption and insanity.

It seems I spend more time in ancient china than I do in medieval fantasy worlds. It’s just a strange thing I have noticed in my travels.

This time at least I didn’t find any planet busting martial artists. I took the opportunity to wander. I took on students teaching those I trusted and saw talent in my craft. However this led me in to direct conflict with some established schools.

I had my students and myself targeted and wound up having to fight back.

During this time unfortunately I left Snowflame to his own devices. He set up a cult and decided he would use his new martial arts to take over china.

I was able to stop him before he managed it but wound up an outlaw do to association. I really have to find some way to keep him from getting bored.

How useful is the Refined Lesser Grail perk from Kaleid Liner? I remember someone turning themselves into a giant sack of meat made of nerves and using it to bs things.

A Night in the Woods is a cat-girl with major issues as she tries to readjust to life in her hometown after dropping out of college. She's kind of a shit though. But there's actually reasons for her being a shit, which you find out in various ways as you go through the game and talk to people.

The ending is where everything takes a sudden turn for the dark side.
Also, seriously, don't read the spoilers if you want to play the game.

The main character may or may not have a psychic connection to straight up Lovecraftian horrors that may or may not exist. It might all be the twisted stress dreams of a 20-ish college failure with issues. Except, oh wait, no, there's a huge murder cult made up of the parents of the town that know about at least one of these freakish things and have been tossing undesirable elements of their town, WHICH INCLUDE SOME OF THE CHILDREN, into a hole deep in the mines outside of town to die in the name of the Lovecraftian horror.

We are now. I'll include it in with the Princess Drawbacks. If taken, you will have no idea which Princess will be in any given Tower until you climb to the top of it. The only certainty is that it won't be the one you're expecting.

100, possibly 200 CP depending on how the Towers for the rest of the Princesses are written. I can already see it causing a lot of problems with Jelita's Entrapment and a few others I had in mind. Trying to carry Mermaid Princess down a crumbling rock face sounds even more like a deathtrap than I had intended.

But regardless, it doesn't seem like that big a deal for a jump. The Black Goat doesn't come out of its hole, and likely isn't even able to do so. And a murder cult is pretty small-time, even compared to low-powered jumps.

Besides someone taking it as their very first jump, acting like a twat, and then getting dragged off, the biggest danger is that later jumpers might explode the goat and thereby not give Mae any closure for her issues.

So I can’t escape the martial arts. This apparently is my life now. I beat people up with my overpowered Martial Arts.

I just wished this wasn’t a dumb cartoon world where everyone was an idiot. I could not escape the Shen gong wu’s I had perks that let me find rare items so I was stumbling over them right and left and both the Xiaolin Apprentices and Jack Spicer thought I was out to collect them.

Well-being an opportunity to make them not idiots I kept the Shen Gong Wu telling the kids that if they wished to claim the items they would have to prove their worth and defeat me.

I’ll give them one thing they were persistent but I think with their frequent battles with me and frequent showdowns they improved greatly. I eventually started surrendering if I felt they had done enough to impress me.

Also while we were hear Jack Spicer developed a deep fear of Doom-chan, He mouthed off to her about being a genius and implying he was smarter than her. Well… she set him straight… with plasma. I think it shows my positive influence that she left him alive (if deeply traumatized)

Nobody really explodes the goat. The gang goes down into the mine and finds the cult, but they don't have superpowers or anything so there's nothing they can do. The cult just gives them some GREATER GOOD bullshit and tells them to leave. Then when they're leaving, they get attacked and the mine shaft elevator collapses. With the elevator caved in the entire cult is trapped and doomed to starve to death, which the gang comments on.

Mae's closure mostly comes from her knowing the source of her dreams, knowing why people have been disappearing lately, and knowing she has a group of friends that truly love her.

Mae could probably do with some therapy anyway. The town only has one doctor and he's no good at psychiatric problems.

No, they're not. It's implied that a lot of adults in the town don't know about the death cult. But as you're wandering around the town that final time there are a LOT of background characters that suddenly have gone missing. There was a good dozen or two people in that murder cult. In a small town of a few hundred people or so. Can't remember what the Possum Springs sign had on it as a population count.

Nah. It's unknown who all was in the cult, because they've all got cloaks and hoods. But the cult was having a big meeting the night they got trapped, and afterwards Mae's parents are still around and fine, so they probably didn't know anything about it.

Mae's aunt, the police officer, is absent from the game afterwards, so some fans think she might have been part of the cult, but there's no confirmation either way and the game ends too soon after to be sure.

Eh, given how out of nowhere the Black Goat is, it's not that bad. There being some sort of shady stuff going on in the town was hinted at from near the beginning. There being a literal Elder God down in the mines was much more unexpected. It's thematically fitting for the game to focus less on the sudden turn to cosmic horror than on Mae finally getting past her various issues. That's what the game has been about for the past five hours before the twist, the audience is going to be more invested in that.

No rest for the Destroyer. I barely managed to convince Yuki to allow the Chain to continue despite the loss of Erika and the fact the incident from before has repeated twice. No going back now. I need to see this through to the end, and I can't let anything slow me down. I give the good Doctor a moment of Penance and the agony that comes with it before dealing with Ballos. He's strong. But not strong enough. I put the mad king out of his misery. I even revive the dead who were laid low by the tragedies of this island, the Mimiga Village once again full of life. And then I left, without bothering to explain myself.

This is just another day at the office, as far as I'm concerned. There's much bigger stakes, now. I have to train. Plan. Continue my search for the Spark. A world like this won't create the ignition I'm looking for. Though some part of me feels a bit more at ease I could make a difference here…it really is just small potatoes at this point.

I've been having a talk with Diend about our most consistent foe. How Bernkastel will continue to shadow my journey to create tragedies like this. But there was a way to beat her. And no one was better equipped for the task than her. I feel uneasy trusting my maverick of a 'twin sister' for this, but she's the best person for the job.

I just needed to decide where and when to spring the trap.

I am particularly fond of the Third Magic from Fate/Stay Night, but I reckon Marvel Magic, DC Occult, and Justice League Dark could give you something good at a much lower opportunity cost.

I would also consider going Shaman in Samurai Deeper Kyo and performing your own research on Chakra and the soul in Naruto, considering the stuff the scientist types from both series got up to.

I taught her a lot of actually useful stuff about ruling rather than the shit she picked up from her brother and the dothraki. Giving her some gifts that improved her wisdom intelligence and charisma on top of that education helped tremendously.
Working with her as a trusted advisor made it easy enough to shield her from toxic influences and prevent her from making mistakes while also gently coaching her using my own jumpchain granted experience at ruling and commanding.
Her dragons, well I gave them gifts to make them smarter and mare durable, reducing their weakpoints vulnerabilities and allowing them to more accurately detect traps and discern friend from foe. I also gave them and Danerys a mild telepathic link that allowed her to see their memories, preventing any liars claiming certain children were killed by her dragons from having any credibility with her.
Outside of that either knocking some sense into or killing Viserys, (ideally the former; poor guy had it rough) and getting rid of Jorah the first chance I got, as well as keeping Daenerys far away from the raping horde of the dothraki. All of those things couldn't help but improve things for her.
Better still, with my OCP I could awaken the dragon eggs and if necessary acquire them from Illyrio, so Daenerys would still have her dragons no matter how much I'd changed things.
I had fun in a Song of Ice and Fire.

Nier has it's own multiverse, which can be quite big depending on how you interpret certain things, and it can also work just on other adventurer types within the same world. Like if you fully supressed the wake or made it weaker (Mute wake is a 50cp perk I have in the main jump, which would help).

Anyway the religion can be for someone else if its the first scenario, but you would still need to be like Jesus, aka someone major within it and worshipped together with the main god-person-tenets).
Or at the very least you would need to be like a major Angel or Saint.

Afterwards the Island would be akin to your resting place or miracle place, it would be considered a holy ground, one that is specifically about you in some way.

Just one thing stands out-one scenario requires you to wipe out the other supernatural beings. From a standalone perspective, isn't that too much for one Leviathan to accomplish, when some of them are created by things far, far outside their control-like True Fae kidnapping people, or Geists forming when an underworld spirit bonds with a dying human? Bit hard to wipe them out together when the forces at work hang out beyond where Leviathans can feasibly reach.

Not to mention wiping out Demons would be effectively declaring war on the God-Machine, since demons ultimately come from bits of it going haywire.

Uh...probably not, unfortunately. Exalted and the beginning of the Battler arc contrived to create a different resolution than I'd already imagined.

Well, more to the point-my Jumper becoming WAY more evolutionary before the jump came out was not part of this storyline.

Nor was the ongoing war against the Exarchs. Originally I thought Leviathan was where I'd start making waves in the nWOD community, but Mage and Genius got there first so-some big shakedowns already happened.

I was originally going to work in something to do with my Evolution, my being SMT!Abel (and therefore, also Bel-Marduk) and resolving that identity crisis with being part of Tiamat's family by dungeoneering into the Rift to try to uncover the truth behind the Tribe's history.

It might still happen, it just won't be as drastic a revelation.

Depends on the Exalt but generally, Exalts get slaughtered if you compare physical stats or biggatons but generally come out on top in terms of concept bullshit, though some of the Servants have some stuff that's not far behind.

Avalon's not quite that. It's normally really good regen that won't activate if you hit those two points but it can also be consciously activated to transport the user to a place where they cannot be touched or attacked. So basically a Perfect Defense with no flaw, aside from being costly in terms of energy.

Soooo been having a thought about some stuff relating to Servants as of late and wanted to float an idea by and I'm too tired to work on Automata more yet not enough to sleep. Specifically, about how the power levels for stats and ranks and shit work.

So, I'm quite happy with the various rankings and rulings for what Servants can do at various levels in regards to the main series of Fate. I feel that the whole x10-50-whatever peak human and general guides for what amount of destruction NPs can do at various ranks are pretty good for representing what the Fuyuki War servants can dish out. They're strong and fast but generally, the average Servant isn't making a city quake by fighting normally.

That said, not every Fate continuity sticks to this that well, Apocrypha for instance, has the physical stats of Servants have way more impressive results with Servants moving way faster and hitting way harder. Grand Order is increasingly showing that the NP ranks it has can do a shitload more damage then the equivalent ranks in Fuyuki Wars could put out (See the recent image of that fuckhuge island being blown up).

So given the jumps for GO and Apocrypha aren't too far off (Relatively) and others are eventually following, I thought I'd figure out a solution that wasn't "You're just weaker then the other Servants here/The Servants here are weaker then canon shows for no real reason". And without, you know, making several different sheets to represent each war.

Solution- Semi fanwank it. If you're doing a jump for a non fuyuki war (Not the FSN or F Zero jumps) then you can choose to have the ranks raw power for physical stats or NP level of destruction fit the series, however that is. All the other Servants will be at the same level of course and this only increases those two specific things to a justified level. Justified is important mind. If you can back up the claim that someone used an A rank Noble Phantasm to destroy an island and it wasn't because of special circumstances or abilities, just that raw rank being that strong, then you can have your raw damage potential of your NPs match it in that jump only. If you just wanna have it be stronger, maybe just stick to things as is.

This way if you know the series, you can have your shit match the specific series and the characters in it. And if you don't know it, it wouldn't matter anyways since you'd be assuming your enemies were at the same level as the stuff in the supplement anyways. Is a bit more complicated but probably less so then what I'd need to do otherwise.

I think that's fair. I may be wrong, but from my understanding that's actually canon-isn't it something to do with the quality of the Grail itself? IIRC the Fuyuki City Grail turned out to be a poor copy of the GO Grails. I'm less sure about Apocrypha, I thought that was partly due to the factions picking and choosing particularly buff Servants, partly stuff like Vlad's master trying to claim the home turf advantage.

I think it's just F/Z that has the most Servant powerlevel disparity, what with lots of incompetant or uppity masters holding their Servants back or driving them berserk. Even with Shirou and Shinji, Stay Night's routes as a whole have more Servants fighting nearer their full potential given a proper source of mana.

By the by, looking up an old build and is Gorgon!Medusa (the gatcha one, not the Tiamat's mouthpiece one) buildable? Just noticed she has 1 stat that doesn't seem to be in supplement (Demon of Mutation), but it's entry sounds like another riff on Monsterous Strength so I was wondering if it was alright to pay the appropriate ranks.

Another thing: I might be going crazy, but I dimly remember something about you OKing buying a canon NP at a higher rank to buff it's effect. I'm probably misremembering it with something from another jump, just wanted to check in case I'm going senile.

Both very cool fights but in writing and now anime, the latter fight comes off as a fair deal higher power. Despite the fact that Mordred is shitty Arturia and Siegfried kinda works out to be shitty Herc.

Gorgon? Probably. I can't recall any issue with her. As long as her Skills aren't super bullshit compared to any other power or have some obvious unbalanced shit (Like being skills that grant more servant skills) then it should be fine.
