No, she's correct.
Potatoes arrived to European soils somewhere around the end of 16th century, as it was brought by the Spanish from South America. So potatoes were a mid-to-late-renaissance thing, not medieval.
>X-Com 1944

I mean, muslims were a fucking thing since the Crusades. So was the Silk Road, and slave trade in general dates way back to Antiquity.
It's way more believable for a negro to appear once in a medieval setting than for fucking potatoes.

The problem is, this guy is fine. The Pathfinder team's problem is they think ordinary people in real life are a good proxy for D&D characters, and they refuse to take feedback from people who actually do play their games. This Moneybag character could make fine games if he actually understands that he needs to learn the rules for a medium he's making art in, and if he actually takes feedback from the only critics who matter.

While that in and of itself is true, there is a negro coming along as - say - a slave trader who can't conduct his business (again calling into question why he's here) or a stray savage from a distant country, and then there's negroes being blackwashed into lords and knights.

>>54213514
Personally I like it, though I deliberately avoided saying "good" for fear of starting a /tv/ argument. Basically: it's good if you're into what it is, and mediocre/bad if you're not.
Some of the most consistent complaints:
The storyline meanders quite a bit, spending a lot of time on characters who are only tangentially related to the main plot, but have their own arcs and serve to flesh out the universe. These side stories are usually interesting in and of themselves, even if they don't move the plot along. However, some people don't like spending two-thirds of an episode on a relatively-minor character's backstory, no matter how compelling a story it may be.
It doesn't answer any of the audience's questions. This is the complaint I find the least valid, because the mystery is entirely intentional. You're not SUPPOSED to know who Wednesday is, at least not initially; you're supposed to piece it together as it gets more and more obvious over the course of the season until the big payoff at the final 'official' reveal.
The season finale was unsatisfying. This is probably the one I agree with the most; they were dropped last-minute from ten episodes to eight. Still, the finale has a lot of big moments, including probably the biggest 'spectacle' of the season. Really, I only felt disappointed because I read the book and know what would have been the finale of a 10-episode season.
Those are the main complaints; if none of those are dealbreakers, you'll probably enjoy the show. It's full of great acting (especially Ian McShane), very good writing, lots of neat mythological references, and a wonderfully fleshed-out setting. Nostalgic Americana mixed with Springsteen storytelling with a heaping helping of pure weapons-grade Bryan-Fuller what-the-fuck.
Oh, it's also got quite a bit of almost cartoonishly-gratuitous violence, and some way-more-explicit-than-I-was-expecting sex scenes. It's on Starz, the less-classy-HBO, so that's to be expected.

>You're not SUPPOSED to know who Wednesday is
That's debatable, 'gods' is in the title of the show and he explicitly says Wednesday is 'his day' as his character is introduced - to anyone with a tiny bit of knowledge about Norse mythology it should be pretty obvious. Even more so when you notice the glass eye.
Then again, I'm not sure I can comment on this seeing how I missed a character named 'Low key Lyesmith' appearing on literally the first page of the book.
It has gone from meaning "no figures of speech at all" to "a specific figure of speech is not being used - usually the hyperbole". People keep saying literally is being used as the opposite of its intended meaning and it's not, it pisses me the hell off.
