I wish, I suck at Gacha type games in general and when I look at everyone else's level when you choose a guest servant, I feel bad since I'm still at like lvl. 10 and others are already at 30 and higher.

I don't know what I'm doing at all.
>>
>>54176858
As it's a "Liberty" which you're already supposed to have paid for with a "Restriction", why not just state that while mechanically you build for each jump as normal, the backgrounds you picked then combine to affect your insertion into the merged setting?

E.g. I decide to Combine the jumps "007" and "Halo", picking the MI5 Support and Pureblood origins respectively. I find myself in a secret world of magic and espionage, where young wizards learn to become as the next generation of Secret Aurors to defend Queen and Wizarding World, in the hopes of passing the NEWTs to receive a license to Avadra Kedavra and fight the evil forces of SPECTRE (Sorcerers Pushing Entire Control of Totally Ruling Everything). My family has covertly assigned me to assist the famous The-Agent-Who-Lived and prevent any attempts on his life from succeeding.

>An alternative possibility I was playing with was having each jump contribute 500 CP to the total. If the idea of losing out on CP in exchange for combining settings for writing reasons
Why not just make jump choices separately (with CP working as normal) for the jumps you wish to combine, and that merge the jumps settings together somehow to writefag what happens. And I wouldn't be opposed to the time combining either. If you want a setting enough to merge jumps to do it, presumably it is one you'd like enough to stay longer.

Are you just going through the story?

If you get good supports, you can power through the Ember Gathering dailies of a higher level than you should be at, which tends to give you a Master level up (and AP refill) in 1~2 runs, which lets you get a really high Master level (and thus more AP to use) and a fuckton of high-level EXP cards really fast. Keep in mind that feeding your Servants EXP cards of the same class as them gives bonus EXP.

Makes doing the plot again annoying though, since the only way to get more AP until the story XP catches up with you is to wait.

A perk that causes you to improve at unbelievable speed at everything you do with no upper limits at the cost of becoming unable to perform below your absolute peak using the effects of this perk. In a thousand years you'll be cooking meals so good that a god would go insane the instant it touched their tongue... but you can't apply the level of ability gained from this perk to cook anything below that level of intensity and perfection.

Hrm. You think I could make it different from this?

-Euphoric Rush (100CP): What’s the point of pursuing perfection and pleasure if you’re the only one who feels it? What’s the point of being the only one who enjoys things at a party? There is no point, it’s akin to a candle in an open room. Better to turn it into a blaze and let the fires of passion consume everyone. You can do this by making it so those around you get a much greater rush or high when they’re around you, making a drug that gives a slight boost in pleasure become a high so great they could swear they were seeing the faces of the gods. You could turn just about any pleasurable act into a higher form of itself, and even imbue someone with that heightened sense of pleasure for a period of time. Just be prepared for when it fades and they come crawling back to you, seeking that pleasure again. Unless of course, that is what you want…

Or should I just merge it with the beauty capstone?
>>

>Are you just going through the story?

Yeah, I just want to get through the story, I don't really care for the servants themselves as long as i think they're decent enough to get through it. That and my lack of taste doesn't really get me to do the whole reroll thing. But hey, I got Martha for the free 10 rolls, that sounds good, to me at least.

I played the JP Ver. before my emulator couldn't run on my PC, then on my Phone till it decided that memory space was taking too much. That one is lost forever, so now I'm doing this.

I knew the same types would give them more, but I never knew anything about these embers, is it those red quest things with the green cubes?

>Makes doing the plot again annoying though, since the only way to get more AP until the story XP catches up with you is to wait.

I'm pretty bad since I can't play a gacha game for more than 10 min. a day since I'm hooked on Warframe on my PS4, I just finished farming a whole set for Mag Prime and am just a systems away from Rhino Prime. Until I realized I only have one slot left and I don't know have to trade shit for Platinum.

I wasted all that starting Platinum on Limbo after I got a discount for anything in the shop because he looked cool, I didn't even know what I was doing.

Shit like this is why I wanna bash my head in for not knowing/ making all these stupid decisions.

But at least Limbo's rework was a nice surprise when everything about him changed, he's real fun.

Now I'm rambling, fuck it, I lack taste what do I know.

Brother_Anon, something that came up while I was making a build.
Humans thing is that they can choose to be Good or Evil, right?
I was looking a making a Human-Demon twice-blessed of Evil alignment. The Black sheep thing is a problem because the humans are stuck in neutral, even though they are not a magical race.

Could you make it so half- humans don't need Black Sheep to be good or evil if the other half is the appropriate alignment?
>>
>>54177624
Hum. Would need to make it worthy of capstone stuff, any suggestions?

>>54177472
I have something like it.

-Lord of Aesthetics (Slaanesh Only): To follow in the footsteps of Slaanesh is to chase the definition of perfection. It is a goal that seems to never be reached, but the pursuit of that goal is capable of transforming even the most unkempt and disgusting mortal into a being that is as terrifying as they are hauntingly beautiful. This even extends to the wargear that followers of Slaanesh possess, meticulously altering and shaping their equipment until it is as beautiful as they are. You share in this pursuit, finding that methods to hone your body or your equipment are tremendously increased in effectiveness and also seems to naturally lend itself to what you consider to be beautiful. This has the benefit of making the equipment effectively change to suit your fighting style over time, as well as creating a perfect tool to bring others to your fold. After all, pleasure and beauty is meant to be shared with others so all may experience it.

Yes. They switch each day between the type of exp drop (it's currently lancer/assassin for me) and are relatively easy. The 40 AP ones are definitely the best once you get strong enough, as the exp cards are 3-4 star, of which you get 9, and also give 15000 experience points. If it isn't obvious, I think I'm losing my life to this game. Send help.

is there a perk that removes the cap for how much skill can accomplish?

basically meaning there is no limit to how much you can perfect something with practice, even if you have to devote an insane amount of focus to it.

(also, are there any jumps that already offer that?)
>>
>>54177478

Ugh, can you not? We have plenty of beauty boosts everywhere. There's no need to waste one of the most interesting slots in an interesting jump for something so... generic.

>The grind got too real for me. Being a spess ninja is cool, but fuck that.

Yeah it is, I'm already a day or two away from the 250 Days milestone and I'm still only MR 8, I just can't stand grinding to get one weapon. That weapon being the Silva and Aegis Prime which is MR 12.

Sometimes I wonder if anything is worth fighting for, at least the Dex weapons from the anniversary events have carried me well.

Dex Sybaris is a good boy.
>>
>>54177777
No, but NP Upgrades are rarely a big deal past the second copy or practical unless the servant in question is a tank because it's likely they won't survive long enough lategame to get 500% NP without chaining the NPs or maxed out CE abuse (Which don't need servant copies) from what I've seen.

Or you could just somehow spam double Merlin but that's a looong way into the future for the NA Version.
>>
>>54177865
Maybe as a side-benefit or something, but even a shapeshifting perk would be more interesting.
>>
>>54177111
Not really that knowledgeable regarding 40k, but one of Slaanesh's domains is seeking perfection, right? Maybe something to do with the pursuit of perfection with themes from the more prominent domains that other people are bringing up?

Go in as an Evil Demon.
Get Black Sheep, you can now purchase Human/Mortal
So, what's the problem?
How are Human's being 'stuck' in Neutral a problem?
I don't see it.

Also, why would you want to become a Twiceblessed human-demon, emphasis on the human?

>>54177787
Black Sheep is that 'good reason'. The various Races have their tendancies in setting one way or anther. Black Sheep existing at all is a big gift.

Look neither of you have convinced me, so if you want Brother_Anon to be convinced, maybe you should put your point out again a bit more comprehensively. Maybe he'll agree with you, but I don't think you're giving him enough to work with with just this.
>>
>>54177851
There are several throughout the chain. The two that immediately come to mind are Softcap from Elona and Folded 1000 Times from Obsidian Tower.
>>
>>54177904
Yeah dude, congrats, the people who got Heracles are making serious bank on both friend points and ease of getting through the story it seems. I got Carmilla, and I've got to tell you, I'm really not a fan even after trying her out. Sure. Actually all the Chaos Gods at least dabble in shapeshifting, even if Tzeentch pushes it the most.

Kamidori is mostly a legitimate turn-based strategy game. Towards the end though there's something of a sex scene rush with the girls. These are mostly innocuous and vanilla, but one stands out as very weird. You see, one of the MC's friends this entire time is a little elf shota trap who has been in constant denial that he's gay for you since you met. Well, he gets a scene of his own, where he finally hits puberty. In Kamidori, elven puberty is signaled by them leaking a 'honey' from their holes, generally when they're around whoever they want to be with. Yes, this includes for males, it leaks out of their assholes. So elf boy leeks his as honey, MC tastes it, and decides to collect some because it's apparently a good alchemy ingredient.

Conversely, a straight up "you are good at fucking" perk would be pretty generic, too.
I agree with you, actually, in that I feel like a beauty perk as a capstone would be kindof lame, but I don't have anything better. Nor can she. And that was why she asked for suggestions. Start suggesting things!

A shapeshifting perk might be pretty cool, but that seems more in line with Tzeentch. He's the big mutable form kinda guy.
I'd rather the seduction, to be honest.
But I'm going Tzeentch anyway so it doesn't matter.

Actually, the combo is
1: The honorary Elder Scenario reward from Charmed
>Everybody has a Guardian Angel, and you are their boss.
2: A Full Report From all Divisions from Chick Tract
>And now you can get remote reports from all of them, and give a instructions to everyone guardian angel at once.
3: Pause from Tropico
>Now you can pause time to think and do mental actions. Can include companions in the effect.
4: Power Combinations from Young Justice
>Combo Pause and Full Report to have make Guardian Angels reporting to you take no time.
5: You now have all the time in the world to speak with each and every guardian angel, learn about their charge, and give personalized instructions on how the guardian angel can best help them.
6: Some perk that actually allows a human to do this without going insane.
7: A perk that gives perfect memory to remember all this.

But you can now do actual Arch-angel / Godlike level stuff where like knowing the name, situation, and life story of everyone on Earth.

>>
>>54178063
It's pretty unreasonable to eat something that comes out of a butt.
>>
>>54178066
Companion Imports give companions benefits like points, a background in the world and other things that vary from import to import. They're not required to bring your companion into a world with you, they're just there if you want to buff them up and really incorporate them.

That's the attitude that these people come off to have, because any time their precious namefag gets even the slightest bit of criticism they'll flood the thread with shitposter accusations.
>>
>>54178066
Companions, bought, given, podded etc can come along with you just fine without imports, but they don't get backgrounds in jumps, and don't get any perks or items other than things they can pick up in jump.

By default, you can have 8 companions active at once, which means out and about in the setting. Each pod you gets you one extra active slot. Companions that aren't active are, by default, in a frozen time. Some fanwank them being in the warehouse or something instead, but others get annoyed with things like that. Up to you really. There are also some purchases you can make to get places for 'inactive' companions to hang out, like the Incredibles island, the boat in uncharted water, and more.

Imports give your companions backgrounds, so it's easier to explain their presence and they have memories of the setting. Imports also usually give CP, but not always.

It pretty much started as a two shot gag as a response to all the lewd Kashima pics and the artist did that pic with the robber and continued off from there.

From what I remember Kashima quit being a shipgirl after an attempted sexual assault and now works at Lawsons. The robber, nicknamed Robba-san, had a sketchy past that isn't really expanded upon and forms a relationship of sorts with her and ends up making an honest living.

> I'll take mostly water with barely any bacteria (and no harmful ones)
Piss isn't sterile unless you cram a catheter in someone and draw it out through a sterile tube and put it in a container. The second it goes through the urethra, it's got bacteria in it, including potentially harmful ones, because your dick and vaginal orifices are warm most holes that bacteria likes to go into and multiply.
A tertiary mechanism of urination is that the acidic fluid that is your piss flushes out bacteria from your urethra, and in fact, if you go a long enough time without taking a piss, bacteria will actually crawl down through your pee-hole down into your bladder and cause urinary tract infections, which are a bad time all around.

I had to learn this.
Apparently it pisses hospitals off, both because of people trying to drink their own piss because "it's sterile!" and catching bacteria, but also because if you have a catheter tube crammed down into someone long enough that means the bacteria lining the walls of your urethra can't be flushed away, because it's outside the tube, which makes it incredibly easy for catheter patients to get urinary tract infections.
The fact that I know so much about piss is physically painful for me.

Also, we should talk about something else now.

>>

Well Daemon Princes are essentially immortal. When you get killed you just get banished back to the Warp for a period that is usually 1000 years and a day. How that works with Jumpchain I have no idea.

Other than that your soul gets changed to a daemon one, your mortal physical body gets replaced by one made of the energy of the warp, you become super powerful often with a boost to or gaining of Psychic abilities if your not Khorne aligned.

>>54179231
>Would I still get a boost to my psyker powers if I'm a Khornate Daemon Prince?

Yeah instead of being a regular one eye ghoul or an artificial ghoul the Sunlit Garden perk makes it so your a Quinx which means your kakuhou (the organ from where your kagune emerges from) is covered in metal and sits in a set of special frames which prevents it from fully fusing itself with your body. As a result your weaker than a normal ghoul but you can eat normal human food. However if your RC count goes up by eating ghouls or by having enough of the frames removed then your stuck eating humans or ghouls.
>>

Gauntlets can make good 1st jump.

>>
>>54179668
The cockroach musclemen are more OP than first believed.
>>
>>54179668
The Muscle Roaches are also hyper intelligent and adaptable. After they kill off that first expedition of humans, a second expedition of humans surgically altered to have superpowers goes in years later to really take it to them. That was the plan, the plan failed mostly. Most of them got slaughtered, internal betrayals, the Johj figured out how to mimic the superpower surgeries from the harvested corpses using pointy rocks.

Anyways, things have escalated, most of the world is wracked with disease, the illuminati was collaborating with the roaches, China too, aliens are involved somewhere, humanity is totally fucked, the roaches have a roach Jesus leading them, etc.
>>
>>54179668
The Roaches are initially able to continue fighting after being shot multiple times in the chest or getting their heads chopped off. They then start to salvage the enhancements made to the Mars expeditions.

Also, there was something about the author actually being really asocial and thinking humanity is garbage? Like, he's basically rooting for the Johj, or the Johj is possibly some kind of punishment for being human, or something.

Also the rape dungeons. Which were only revealed sometime after the jump was made, so, not the jumpmaker's fault. But those were a thing.

I don't remember if/think the jump was ever updated to reflect this, but I remember the rule about "you need to keep mars intact!" was rescinded, like, the jumpmaker said, "No, fuck it, you can blow them all to hell fuck this setting fuck them all."

This thread is the first time I've heard of the rape dungeons honestly, which is pretty fucked up.

They kidnap humans young, like 8-10yo. They keep them in huge pens, they strip them then give them clothes. They get like two meals a day, plus water.

Then when they're about 12-13 they breed for the first time. They put a male & female in the same room, then wait. If the female gets pregnant she gets more care, until the child is born. Then they take it away. After two births/impregnations they kill them using microwaves.

The infants that are born are subjected to experiments. They become half-human hybrids.

>>54180288
's the problem with making jumps before their source has ended. You think you know where they're going and then BAM! Rape dungeons!

>>54180169
I... think you would take the place of Sakura as normal, but the SI would still exist, likely on another team, though it's up in the air whether they'd replace someone else in a canon team, or if they'd show up as part of a completely new team of nobodies -- the implication here being that the nobodies probably didn't graduate that year without the SI carrying them, thus screwing up canon a little bit more than it already has.

At least, that's my interpretation. That's some heavy "fanwank it" territory, and you'd have to find and ask Ninjanon to know for sure. I don't think he's been around for awhile, though.

Calling a Drill a saber is going too far as saber's typically only had a single edge and given a decent curve as they were designed for slashing, Though some sabers did not have the curve so as to thrust, they still only had one edge. A drill cannot count as a single edged weapon.

Swords are arguable one of the most flexible and varied melee weapons in existence. It's not hard to count a drill as a sword.

The implication between these two perks is that it was actually demons. Not a very happy thing.
>Restful Sleep (1750, Vigilante)
Even though I don't technically need to sleep by now, getting rest with less time in bed is nice. Still, there's something intrinsically relaxing about a nap, at minimum.
>Concealed Identity (1700, Vigilante)
As long as I can conceal who I am from people who AREN'T close to me, it's enough.
>Born Rich (Free, Philanthropist)
Also known as "fake it 'til you make it". Surprisingly effective.
>Magnetokinesis (1500)
I am Magneto, master of magnet! ...but seriously, folks, I'm going to have all of my possible clones active during basically all the DC jumps, and one of them is going to be ripoff-Magneto.
>Super Speed (1200)
I FEEL THE NEED.
>Speedster (1000)
THE NEED FOR SPEED.
>Wealth (Free, Philanthropist)
Well, at least my bank account is padded nicely. This will stack nicely with my other two 'you own a corporation' perks from Gargoyles and the Spider-Man trilogy.
>Business Mogul (800)
Oh, and increases annually. Helpful.
>J.U.M.P. Labs (600)
Doubly helpful: I have a front to sell whatever I want in a jump to the general public. Time to pull a reverse Reed Richards and use all the things I didn't invent to make the world a better place. Screw the status quo, we've got Halo tech and terraforming.
>Armor of the Gods (200)
What a lovely coincidence, I have a wonderful suit of armor that I can import. And with it, I will finally achieve Peak Fast.
>Bulk Companion Import (0)
All the fun that could be had here, why shouldn't I bring my companions in on the fun?

So, as I was saying a moment ago, I still typically make a great deal of use of clone perks. In the Green Lantern jump, I was one full-strength corgi and eight quarter-strength corgis, through the magic of certain perks.

I'll be doing the same in this jump, of course. My primary self, that everything's getting focused on, a speedster. Because there are definitely not enough speedsters to confuse the hell out of everyone already.

One of the eight, as I said, is the magnetokinetic. Let's call him Ferrous, it's a nice generic name that no one else has used. Two of them, healers - there are never enough dedicated healers in the world - one of whom actively goes out casting regeneration and healing spells while the other heals everyone around them passively, and will typically go into a hospital and sit for an hour, then move on. One's a Batman-alike from Gotham calling himself Crow (sorry, no face paint or trenchcoat) with less emphasis on being the world's greatest detective and more on street level shenanigans. One's an electrokinetic, one's a pyrokinetic, both of those two can change their forms to be their respective element rather than simply channeling it, but it takes a lot out of them - and they have a tendency to team up. The last one, though, I just keep in reserve in case anyone needs to be swapped out.

It keeps life very interesting, especially when I'm being constantly beset by a villain-of-the-story-arc periodically, even if it is typically stretched over the course of every two years rather than every year. Which, interestingly enough, also comes with weaker opponents that my clones are stuck dealing with over similar overlapping time periods as well. Made for a hell of a story, especially the regular crossovers with Team Arrow since they weren't the only heroes in the city. And the friendly rivalry between Pyre and Firestorm.

Though I kept having demons come after my speedster entirely too frequently for my liking.
>>

I could generally handle things without needing to involve any outside forces, even if I got strange looks from Constantine at times. In fact, every time he ran across ANY iteration of me, they got strange looks. It happened more often than you might expect, too, like one of the writers just liked to be tongue-in-cheek about it. Or maybe foreshadowing.

Things toward the end of the jump were a whole lot less jovial and a lot more grim when everything came to a head - rather than what should have been a last round of villains for everyone, they ended up with older villains who should have been retired... or dead. Instead, they had power-ups, to the point that I had to sit up and start taking them much more seriously than I had. And then when those villains were dealt with (and each got an episode's worth of time in a manner of speaking), they got demons manifest en masse.

My primary self, the speedster, got someone I was hoping not to see however. Ob Nixilis. In all his glory - his form human yet with demonic wings folded behind him, an unholy fire burning behind his eyes, black armor seeming to shimmer with unseen heat... no, it was his entire form wavering faintly. I could feel the fabric of the world screaming in protest. And when I'd encountered him in the past, I only prevailed because multiple other planeswalkers had focused on him.

In short, if he decided to go all out on me, I was a dead man unless I found a way to outrun him - the fact that he had demons dealing with all my other aspects meant he'd caught me off guard already, a walking hole in my precognition- no, in fact, for the moment that he stood before me, I felt nothing. The world had frozen around us, and nearly every last one of my abilities that I tried to pull on was... missing. Gone. Nothing but my wits against a fully fledged planeswalker. No, there was no running to be had.

How was he even here?

"This... this is impossible." I felt myself growing closer to a true panic than I had been in a very, very long time. "You can't be here. You CAN'T-"

I turned to face him, his footsteps stopping as I did so. "So... what are you going to do, then? You go from plane to plane in conquest, don't you?"
>"̨M̧m̶. ̢Yóu ͜might͠ s͢ay͟ yo̸u͘'͡ve ca̴ug͠h͜ţ ͢m͝e ̴in ͢a ͝tra͘n͞si̛tio̴n̴a̸l ͞p̴erio̴d. We'l̶l ̡s͢ee̛ if th̵ere's any͝where t͢h̵át c̷a͠n ̷do̢ wi̕t́h ́ḿy.̵.͜.̶ ̶attent̕i̡ơn͝. "Se͢e yoú, şpac͘e cow̴b̀o͘y̕.̶"
And with a sinking feeling in my stomach, I placed the references he was kind enouh to drop. Realized that this was definitely not his first stop since leaving the plane where I'd met him. The implication was that he'd made a point of studying the culture I came from. And that disturbed me even more than the fact that he was following me.

The jump ended moments after that, and it was the most technical victory I have had in my chain. Running out the clock, even unintentionally, is not something I wanted to do. I will tell you, though, I've never been more thankful for time to decompress between jumps in the Slice Of Life setting than I was after that encounter.

And I am quite certain this was not even supposed to have happened, and yet it did. Damned planeswalkers. Would be awfully helpful if I ever had any sort of direct interaction with my sponsor instead of just the most vague sense of things... this encounter raises far more questions than I'm comfortable with.

>>
>>54181335
Servants are filtered into one of seven main classes that they're applicable for based on their legend and skillset. These classes limit their abilities (somewhat) to things relevant to that class, so the seven Servants and their Masters are somewhat even during the Holy Grail War. Saber is one of those classes and it's focused on close combat and melee weapons, mostly swords. Sabers can have all sorts of things like clubs and axes despite their name, but not anything to do with a polearm since that's under the purview of Lancer. You get a lot of knights in this group.

Thank you anon, sincerely.
>>
>>54181335
In Fate there are summoned beings called servants who are ancient heroes summoned to do battle in the name of a mage. These heroes are divided into classes and have powers based on their legends.

They also each have a special weapon or ability called an Noble Phantasm which range from powerful to retardedly OP. Reduce all attacks made against you to 10% of their power kinds of bullshit.

what are such spirits even capable of?
>>
>>54181555
They can vary, most are just supernaturally good warriors but some can get absurd. Artoria (fem king Arthur) can destroy large landmarks with her noble phantasm and Gilgamesh. . . well he has a literally infinite number of Noble Phantasms which he uses like a magic machine gun. Some of them are just as powerful as Excalibur and Ea is called the anti-world noble phantasm for a reason.
>>
>>54181555
Most Heroic Spirits summoned as Servants are many times the physical better of peak humans. You know those world strongman competitions with dudes dragging trucks and stuff? Even Casters (magic focused Servants) are like 10 times that, and Sabers and Berserkers are often 50 times or more powerful.

In addition, Servants often have a wide variety of Skills relating to their legend or class that can give them a variety of abilities from Magic Resistance (self-explanatory) to Riding (helps them ride stuff, the higher the rank the better they can ride things and the more things they can ride) and even weird things like Innocent Monster that can twist a Servant's abilities and appearance based on exaggerations of their legend.

The most notable things Servants have access too are Noble Phantasms, magical constructs that crystalize an integral part of their legend into the form of a unique power or weapon with a wide variety of effects. Some blast gigantic lasers, some reverse causality so attacking comes "after" hitting, and some like Heracles's allow him to respawn when killed but resistant to what killed him.

Not much. Really. They have some advanced technology: they can produce (or they could at some point) soldiers that can control elements on a continental scale, have soldiers that fight with servant-tier strength at minimum, various planetary mass destruction weapons, and FTL communications and ships, the later now based on abusing singularities to move through space.

But they also have several easily exploitable problems: they either are heavily limited in their range of operations or a bit incompetent, seeing that they are implied to have resources shortages (which shouldn't be a problem for any implied at least Type II civilization). Their technology, even if more refined now, seems to have trouble recreating the old super-soldiers that they did a few thousand years ago, probably because of their resources shortages. There is also the thing when they keep creating faulty individuals even if not 'born', but made.

Oh, and they are really easily exploitable when it comes to social manipulation. Even with their rigid authoritarian state, all gems are still individuals with their own fears, concerns and ambitions. Specially those soldiers who fuse, or one of their leaders, seem to be very prompt to act following their emotions rather than logic. A social manipulator Jumper should have no problem on turning them on each other, even more when there is implied that they dominant castes are hidden some pretty big things from the rest of the populations.

Jump #377: Batman - The Dark Knight Trilogy
>Nine of Pentacles (Gain): Discipline and nobility applied to the maintenance of security and stability.
>Age: 27
>Location: The Bat Cave
IN A CAVE! WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS! --wait, no, wrong franchise.
>Identity: League of Shadows
One would hope that the League of Shadows' name sounds more dramatic in an appropriate language.
>Member of the League of Shadows (Free, League)
Worldwide conspiracy, you say? And yet they can't destroy a single city? Not much of a conspiracy if you ask me...
>Jumper The Immortal (900, League)
Oh, so this explains it: Henri Ducard was a mercenary and con artist that got caught up in a bigger mercenary organization and took control... but it was too big to do more than be a figurehead, so he embraced it. That's really the only way it makes sense. He's not truly Ra's al Ghul... because there is no single Ra's al Ghul. Except when he dies, the idiots remaining in the league don't realize how the scam goes, so they actually assume that the figurehead is dead instead of someone else taking the wheel. Yes, I know that's not really true. But this is now my headcanon. It explains so much. Otherwise, why would they reveal themselves to the world and destroy themselves along with Gotham if they supposedly kept themselves secret since before the fall of Rome?
>The Shadows Betray You Because They Belong To Me! (700, League)
Part and parcel of the training package, after all.
>The League of Jumper (400, League)
Well, if it's going to fall apart after Henri dies, I should know how to create such an apparatus of my own, no?
>Jumper Enterprises (0)
Another to roll into my multiversal company. Yes... this will work nicely.

Well... I'll admit, due to the nature of this setting, this is going to be a DC jump where I take a single role instead of several. Still taking the role I'd had before though - Crow still works, but he'll going to need a different name. But then, what does his name matter?
>>
>>54180630
I think Gilgamesh can be of any class. He has also been shown as Rider and Berserk. The same goes for Arturia and Heracles.
>>
>>54182267
Like Batman, I'm a former member of the League of Shadows, except I had the intelligence to see what they were about and get the hell out while I could.

Unlike Batman I don't care to strike fear into criminals, because that's really not going to do anything in the long run. Applying force in the right places as an otherwise unnamed vigilante has its uses, but frankly if you want Gotham to be a place worth staying in, you need to do as much in the light as you do in the dark. That is Bruce Wayne's failing.

So, let's see how things go.

Batman Begins? I've been out there beating the crap out of idiots before he came around with his fancy tools and armor (which, when he eventually comes across me and tries to fight me, is surprised I lack). I'm not wearing hockey pads - I'm just that good. Short of a trained assassin, I'd have the upper hand in any encounter, and I don't go in blindly.

Bruce Wayne seems to be having a party at his mansion! Lovely. I'll simply have to make sure I show up as well. While Bruce is feigning drunkenness to lose his guests, I'm waltzing over to Ra's in order to have a few words.

"Henri Ducard, you sly dog, is that you?" I put on the insincere charm. And boy, did he ever pick up on it.
>"Who in- ah, it would seem this truly is a small world, isn't it?" Ra's reflects every bit of that insincerity back at me, a polite chat rather than the desired knife fight.
"Oh, you have no idea, old friend. Say, it looks like this party is winding down. I'm sure you brought some friends along with you, plus ones, am I right?"
>"One could say that," he admits, eyes locked on mine, giving away nothing. "In fact, I'm sure they've been looking forward to catching up with you."
"Mm, good," I say, my grin growing genuine. "I suppose I'll be going, I've a date to keep, but do tell Ubu that I've missed him, won't you?" And with that, I slip around the man behind me who was about to grab me and instead make my way to the door, leaving Bruce to his fate.
>>
>>54182277
Later on, after the dust settles... well, it turns out that despite the crazies getting out, nobody was actually hallucinating and Gotham PD did a fine job of taking care of things aside from what Batman had to deal with on the monorail. Sure, damage was done to the water main, but nobody really went crazy - turns out that the company that was contracted by the city to run the water department found some discrepancies, and the water line in Arkham is the main that goes to the water plant for filtration and processing.

When did that get switched around, you might ask. And I might answer, it's magic, I ain't gotta explain shit.

Regardless, the criminal underworld was sent running not long after. And then the Joker popped up, being dramatic and all of that. Things went essentially as they otherwise might have, except ... well, I seem to recall I have a perk or two that can shift the timing of certain events around. That is to say... the Joker's timing was off in several regards.

The cellphone that was sloppily shoved in a man's stomach? Found, and the Joker never got his phone call, though he still escaped. Rachael and Harvey? The bombs never went off, disarmed with time to spare. The ferries? That was the biggest crock and nobody really talked about it other than it being a vague terrorist threat.

The Joker was shot trying to escape from two detectives, Bullock and Montoya, while they were hauling him downtown. He died ignobly and was forgotten. Gordon still got a spot for police commissioner after the dust settled, and a perfectly sane Harvey Dent became mayor two years later. Rachael Dent served as DA. Gotham had seen worse conflicts of interest.

Bruce took it out on the criminals. But as Rachael said, if he hadn't put on so many false personas and actually put forth honest and open effort, she wouldn't have moved on. When you put on a mask and never let anyone see past it, all that the people around you will see is the mask.

In other news, eight years later, a man who said he was CIA took a chartered plane with three captured mercenaries from Uzbekistan. The CIA man was found sedated in a hotel room shortly after the plane disappeared from radar. Transcript from the crashed aircraft's black box follows.

"First one to talk gets to stay on my aircraft. So, who told you to grab Dr. Pavel?"
>"..."
"He didn't fly so good. Who wants to try next? Tell me about Bane. Why did he carry a teddy bear?"
>"Wait--" "What?"
"A teddy bear. Our sources say its name was Osito."
>"How is it that you know this?"
"Oh, it turns out I'm not actually CIA, just very well informed, Mr. Dorrance. The bag on your head won't be necessary any longer."
>"How-?!"
"Irrelevant. The only thing that matters is Henri Ducard's legacy. A petty mercenary-turned-warlord with delusions of grandeur, a gang of fools that believed his lies, and a daughter he abandoned to a prison he controlled and had the means to facilitate her escape. Oh, and her would-be lover, who let himself get caught."
>"You do seem very well informed, whoever you are."
"Quite. So, we've established that you're no genius, but what's the next step in your plan?"
>"Crashing this plane, with no survivors."
"You heard the man! Straight down."
>"What-- WHAT?!"
"You did say we were crashing this plane. At this altitude, we have thirty seconds to impact, and I can guarantee you that there will be no survivors."
>"This isn't..! Are you all crazy?!"
"No, but we do think you're an idiot. Incidentally, we have blue lantern rings and will be perfectly fine. You, however, well... you wanted no survivors, Bane. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it."

Transcript ends.

Oddly, a group of mercenaries all died of a some sort of parasitical infection while preparing for certain highly illegal activities in Gotham City. Miranda Tate also died of the same parasite, curiously.

Such a pity.

Know any jumps that can give you battleseats?

Like MODOK or Metron's chair
>>
What were the jumps that you could buy an endless supply of corpses or clones from?

Should we stop doing mecha jumps because we already have Gundam?
>>
>>54182451
I know you're being obstinate, but I'll point out that the Gundam jumps have different perks between them. And I added the corollary "if you can make a jump that's noticeably different", which is all that means. So if someone thinks they can come up with new perks, then full power to them.

Although, that anon wasn't talking about making a jump himself, he was just asking if someone else would make that jump. So first you have to find someone else who actually wants to make the jump, or we're just arguing over nothing.

I'd ask /exg/ but they seem to be dead 90% of the time. How powerful are the Primordials from Exalted, actually? Are they more like the Endless or Marvel's Odin? I can't tell if they're actually legit cosmic beings or just very big spirits.

They're conceptual cancers growing on the foundation of reality, but that doesn't mean that much power-wise in Exalted. They're statted up as Essence 10 Infernals with 1000 motes and limited to one set of themes, but nobody knows how strong an Essence 10 Exalt is. They don't have any control over their concepts that other people couldn't theoretically have. If they want to do something, they have to invoke a Charm they've invented or cast a spell. They all have paranoia combos and most of them will have their own variant on the Charm that lets you do infinite damage. SHWLiHN blew up most of Creation, so some of them are at their limits planet busters.

So they're closer to Odin, but much weaker other than their conceptual fighting powers.

Negociator from Otoyomegatari is pretty cool.

There's a quest reward in Chrono Trigger that might help you out. It's called the Obround Table.

>some of them are at their limits planet busters

I've been told some of them are infinite, or used to be though. What's up with that?

Since they've lived so long, they'd have way, way more Charms than any canonical Exalt right?

When you say they're weaker than Odin, does that mean Galactus could beat them?

After sending companions off to safety, I settled in for a decade of gene experiments. And that's basically all this was. Create horrifying biological monstrosities, send them off to kill things, record data, refine process, repeat. And it was interesting, albeit clinical and somewhat detached from the war itself. As a queen, I did not go into battle myself, and instead spent my time devising new bio-constructs, gathering resources for consumption, idling, and arguing with the other queens over telepathic link.
The other queens were something of a cross between the aliens from the Alien movie, and snippy teenage girls. There was an unofficial rivalry, because while we were all part of THE SWARM, we all had our own ideas of what evolutions were best to serve it.
Personally, I'm a fan of bio-luminescence. There's no real combat application to that by itself, but it looks cool, and it really screws up the enemy's ability to tell who's got bio-shock and plasmid powers and who just makes pretty light flashes.
So that was fun.

There was nothing else to report. When the enemy made attempts towards my (HEH) "mother"ship, I tended to perform a preliminary retreat, which meant that there was never really an end to our battles or climactic victory.
Unfortunately, we did not manage to eat the galaxy in the time I had allotted, but I'm sure my sisters will do just fine in my absence post-jump.

Some of them may have been infinite, but not in a way that made them infinitely large on the outside or gave them infinite health or power.

They probably have tons of charms, yes.

Galactus could probably beat them up before conceptual stuff enters the equation. Then they would perfectly dodge all his attacks while hitting him with attacks that deal infinite damage.

Vera, if you want to know. She's from Yugioh. I have a few companion zones, like... Nomanisanisland, that's connected to my warehouse. But Vera, believing herself to be my rival, tends not to take those options, because it "messes up her training" and "that's easymode" or somesuch nonsense. And she's a "drawback" companion, so I can't just slot her out like I would for normal companions in excessively dangerous settings.
So, basically, I had to figure out a way to get her to safety, and then she disappeared for the rest of the jump.

... although it kinda does explain those reports of some ridiculous warrior just tearing through my -- actually no it fucking doesn't this is 40K. I thought that was just background noise. What the hell.
>>
With the Tyranid scenario, how great would one's psychic might become after the fleet has consumed every soul in the galaxy?

>>54183138
It's a perk, not an item, my mistake.
The Writ of Union in the San'Shyuum tree.
>>
Fell asleep before your reply to the soul-eating this last night, Red. So, just in case you're still thinking about adding it...

>>54177747
>Hum. Would need to make it worthy of capstone stuff, any suggestions?
Well, instead of just eating souls of people you kill like the few other perks like that we have, you could have it drain anyone affect by it like the Dark Eldar are.

That'd make it an interesting way to kill people you don't like, while also getting a snack of souls.

You could go with it affecting an area, or maybe have it affect a specific group of people (maybe not an entire species, like the Eldar, but something more in line with that)

>>54177835
>Yeah, it's the additional part that I'm uncertain of.
Well, you could go with the standard powerboost that seems to be standard with soul-eating in 40k. But that seems a little generic for it?

>Could take after that one Slaaneshi daemon princess and make it so absorbing huge amounts of soulstuff extends one's youth and gives a power boost, but it's a ritual?
Could be cool... though aren't daemon princes immortal anyway, and a lot of ways to not really age in 40k? Which also goes for a lot of jumpers, so that part may not be too useful.

Also not too keen on it needing a ritual...

Maybe have it just feel amazing or something, with a side of powerboost and maybe sensory boosting? I mean, it killing people could be useful on it's own.

Anyway, maybe you could base a perk on Lucius the Eternal? What with his possessing people who "killed" him and his armor of trapped souls?

Yeah you beat me to the punch about this one. I was toying with the idea that anyone you personally killed could be added to an armor of souls. Not necessarily a "get out of jail free" card, but the soul armor would have a bunch of benefits and give you some boons.

Oh, that sounds like it could work pretty well too.

Would lose the draining people part though, which I kinda liked, so that's a bummer. But eh, can't have everything.

If you do go with that, could there be an option to have your soul armor not have screaming faces? I'd personally rather not sacrifice aesthetics for it.
>>
>>54183819
Yeah, you could change the aesthetic to not be screaming faces if you wanted.

Though to be fair, I'm seriously considering dropping the "your children are awesome" capstone because Slaanesh isn't exactly known for dealing with kiddos beyond turning them into drugs, as they're an equal-opportunity type of person. How would you feel such a draining power would work?

That's true... Not really sure where the kids connection comes in either.

>How would you feel such a draining power would work?
Basically, it'd start draining the minds and lifeforce of those affected by it, gradually killing them over time. Probably giving you a minor buzz of whatever benefit it has to drain people like that?

Like what the Dark Eldar are trying to avoid with the pain exposure thing?

And then when it kills them you snack on their souls and get the full benefit of whatever it gives.

You could do something like >>54177662 too, and apply it to whole races or families instead of an area around you? Like how Slaanesh claimed all the Eldar.

Utterly absurd. Like, probably Chaos God+? Slaanesh only ate the Eldar when it formed, after all.

But then, you pretty much start off with absurd psychic might in the scenario from tapping into the hivemind's psychic power.

I can't recall a perk that does exactly that, but I'm sure enough magic would let you work out some kind of "silicon to flesh" spell. Or, you could just use a shit-ton of tech perks to build a sufficiently human android body.

With Tyranids out, you could just eat them. Nothing special but they have a lot of Mosiac Organs and they're hatched with them. So that's good genetic information, you could use to pump out Tyranids with their own MO.

Yeah. I agree. With just what anon has said so far I can't say I see the need to make any change.
Maybe I'm not understanding the problem anon has, but Black Sheep already exists in the jump, giving people the option to take other Races outside of their alignment. If anon wants to be Twiceblessed with one race of another alignemnt, then they can just use Black Sheep. I don't see the problem.
They are welcome to make their case more fully and I'll do my best to address it, but right now it reads more like a preference rather than a justified change.

>Also, why would you want to become a Twiceblessed human-demon, emphasis on the human?
The item stipend and perk/items freebies and discounts I'd imagine.
>>
>>54184492
The greatest advantage of stealing the Mosaic Organ's genetic material is its ability to defy the square-cube law. Most M.O powers shouldn't work, having the wings and tail of a swift wouldn't let you fly as proportionately fast as one, for example. Combine the ability to fuck with proportionate effects of biological structures with the insane sort of biological structure that Tyranids can produce and you're going to get some weird stuff.
