It was about being given a choice of a waifu from a group of several, with all of them having some potentially creepy, suspicious paranormal circumstances surrounding them. Immortality is easily the best choice. The catacombs are only like 2 miles in size. The biggest problem is all the turns and whatnot though you could use your fingernails which should now be indestructible to carve the stone to help you situate. If the old quarries were opened, they're not, that's almost 200 miles of bullshit. There is also that chance that you just get put at the front. Gonna roll low for that. In either case it shouldn't take that long.

Some goal, setting. So, I get monstrous powers and possibly silhouette - will there be others? Do I have to do anything about them? Is there particular reasons for all of this or it's immersionless "u all kaiju nao!"?

The same problem affects even particular form choices - why should I care about most of the choices if I don't know whether I'd even have a reason to use them? If life goes as it does now, what's the point of aquatic form? I don't live in an aquarium nor need to venture to sea. Photosynthesis? I've cooked spaghetti today, it came out well and I didn't have to grow leaves for that, thank you very much. What importance are the weapons if I don't know what I'd use them for? There's no direction to have in mind for any of the choices. I may, say, decide I want a normal weapon - a pistol - in case someone will want to mug me but I don't play monster mash CYOA then.

That's the kind of problems I see at least. It makes me feel I am designing a butterfly to be be pinned in a collectors catalogue. Sure, I can make it pretty but it's ultimately pointless - it'll be just another butterfly pinned with nothing making it anything special in comparison with other butterflies. There's nothing anyone suggested or hinted I could or should do with my choices and if there isn't anything that'd suggest a direction and all up's to me then there's no point of being any special creature - even worse, most of those choices may be detrimental to living a normal, happy life - and I don't feel a need to be speshul or wreck shit for the sake of it.

I have two problems with these CYOA:
1. I have shit IRL that if left for a year would mean that I have nothing to come back to. At least some fluff that "relatives and associated will be informed and your personal effects teleported to you" would allow me to immerse myself much more.
