Trollbloods are easily the most visually inconsistent faction in the game. Sons of Bragg perhaps being the worst example. PP used to go for a semi-realistic look with them like Gunnbjorn. Then some were ultra-cartoony like Runeshapers.

They seem to be settling on the more cartoony aspects which work out pretty well sometimes with models like the new Kriel Warriors.

I just wish they could get the beasts right. The old metal Mauler was fantastic. The new plastic one is an abomination, along with all the battle box beasts.

Faction identity and popping design forms are a thing, but I'll take that any day over most of Warmachines' whacky Warjacks. I hate the godawful proportions of menoth warjack limbs to body to weaponry. I get that it's a style, but to me it's a downright shitstyle. Grymkin is just another proof of lacking design skill here.

In a sense I agree from a "game" perspective, then again, most military today have subtle differences in uniform and equipment if viewed from afar, and the most defining trait to differentiate them by country or "faction" is (very arguably) their uniform's colors.

Well, there are two important points to consider when judging that model that people always misjudge:

First, that model is not part of the game, it is merely a collector's figure with no gameplay presence at all. A fluff model if you wish. Neither are the pinups and other cheesecake. The actual game is pretty tamed compared to singular pieces like that one.

Second, upon seeing boobs, tentacles and naked women on the ground, people always assume OMG RAPE and think it is just like in their japanese animes. The real fluff behind that model is being an incubator and breast feeder for newborns, hence the name "wet nurse", there is nothing sexual about it.

The problem with KD is that people always jump to conclusions too soon because the models have a high impact aesthetic.

And then you have the usual "if it's not muh usual scifi flavor or muh usual fantasy flavor it's shit" mentality.
