How would /tg/ go about creating a Killer7 type of campaign/ RPG for 40K? Would it work with old Inquisitor rules, or how about Necro? Or would Infinity be a better choice?

Help me out /tg/.
>>
Can you summarize what a Killer7 campaign would look like?
I know too vaguely about the game and never played.

Not OP, but from what I remember, Surreal weirdness, a dark style, conspiracies, absurd, grotesque stuff, exploring urban spaces that contain weirdness and being a team of specialists who all have their special ways of solving obstacles and beating stuff up.

If you want to get artsy, throw in possibly not existing at all.
>>
OP here, here's a brief plot summery from Wikipedia:

Killer7 takes place in an alternate version of Earth in the early 21st century.[5][6] After a treaty ends all international conflict, the world powers destroy all nuclear weapons by firing them into the upper atmosphere and intercepting them with other missiles. This event becomes known as "Fireworks" and symbolizes world peace to the general populace.[7] In an effort to combat terrorism, pandemic disease, and cyberterrorism, the International Ethics Committee (IEC) shuts down all air travel and public use of the Internet. Air transportation is replaced by a system of intercontinental expressways.[7] However, a new terrorist group called "Heaven Smile" appears, targeting the United Nations (UN) and IEC. The members of Heaven Smile are humans who have been infected with a virus that evokes a desire to kill. Factory-produced Smiles are given a "bomb-organ" that allows them to explode at will, their principal means of attack.[8]

In this Earth, Japanese politics are dominated by two parties: the UN Party and the Liberal Party. The UN Party is more powerful and moves to end the Asian Security Treaty and sever ties with the United States (US).[7] The UN Party seized control of the Japanese government through the wisdom of the "Yakumo Cabinet Policy", a secret document which details how to run the "ideal nation". It was written by the Union 7, young members of the Liberal Party who went on to found the UN Party.[7] The US government is also eager to sever relations with Japan, seeing the country as a hindrance and of little economic value. The interaction between Japan and the US is a central source of conflict in Killer7.

I think this type of plot is doable, albit in need of a serious reworking, given the time period and key players.

With serious railroading.

Hur hur hur I made a funny.

You're miles away. Use Everyone is John.

Killer7 is legitimately my favorite video game but I am not sure it could translate that well into a ttrpg.
Warhammer sounds like a bad fit but I am not sure what setting would work.
>>
>>54153120
That's the bare surface level of all the shit that goes on in the game. K7 is full of outright nonsensical and random stuff, with a few fairly simple plotlines told in the most obtuse way possible.
>>
>>54153120
Almost none of that is relevant to the actual plot of Killer 7.
>>
>>54152919
what kind of aspects from Killer 7 do you want to convert to a table top?

THIS

The 40k rpgs are a hilariously bad fit and I have no idea why you'd even suggest them.

Use Everyone is John. Call it "Everyone is Smith". You spend blood to take control of the Syndicate and transform the avatar into your personality.

Nail on the fucking head. Modify everyone is Jon so that everyone isn't shit at everything and you're set to go.

Or use Delta Green.
Personally I would homebrew something for this. Maybe a Lasers&Feelings hack, or a One Last Job tweak.

Or maybe an All Out of Bubblegum session, for a full Eiga/Battle Royale-esque flavor.

Don't Rest Your Head. There's enough weirdness to approach the game. It's my favorite game, but I really wouldn't know how to bring it to the table. When in doubt, make it weirder and more esoteric.

This pretty much.
