A while ago I made a goodreads list for /tg/'s approved reading. In the discussion thread a bunch of people were praising The Black Prism by Brent Weeks, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
The Black Prism was okay. I really liked certain parts, and I kind of rolled my eyes at other parts. Characters were good, plot was fine, magic system was unique and all that. It just didn't impress me a whole lot.
What /tg/ books have you read recently? How did you like them?

lmao
Shogun by James Clavell.
Three Musketeers by Dumas.
Not fiction or fantasy but Disappearing Spoon (it's about the history of elements and the periodic table).
Le Mort D'arthur by Sir Thomas Malory.
Vernor fucking vinge.
A fire upon the deep is one of the best "an ancient evil awakens" stories out there, and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.
>no cormac mccarthy
It's like you don't even want to describe landscapes or futile heroism.
Always been partial to the Yukikaze series of books. Excellent scifi about the man-machine relationship.
I hear there's a movie or something too, no clue if it's good.
Book of the new sun.
