>How would a regular human go about scaring paranormals?
Hurt them, and show you can hurt them, with immense force.

Humans may be weaker than all of the above.

That matters for so little when the human is inside a tank, NBC sealed with IR scopes and coaxial machineguns. Can a werewolf shred through tank armour? Can a vampire do that, hypnotise the crew who are looking through cameras?

Alternately, a helicopter.

That is just physical stuff though. You can threaten just as much by threatening them in a social setting. All ties will be cut. All safe haven rendered null. You will be cast out into the light of the sun and die there, burning or starving like a beast.

lots of creatures in mythology hate iron, so I would go around and use lots of iron shit, same goes for salt.
>>

Can't go wrong with salt, silver, iron, and fire

>>54132533
I have heard that you can kill a Wendigo by shoving a weasel up it's ass so I would start there.

Just pick a random individual to be an example, then hunt that motherfucker down to it's lair, wait until it's most vulnerable and can't leave. Such as mid day if it's a vampire. Then get a long hose, shove that hose down into the lair, flood the entire place with napalm, light a match, and burn that fucker.

Actually, most creatures hate "cold iron" aka steel. Plain old iron like in cast iron skillets doesn't do jack shit to them.

The reason why steel was referred to as cold iron back then was because you would submerge it in some cold liquid, usually urine, but sometimes water, as part of the forging process. This is what makes steel different from iron.

Not only that, but you can also fold multiple metals into the steel as you are forging it. This is how katanas are made. Which is why they can slice through four solid full grown pigs in one swing, even though they are teeny tiny toothpicks.

So if you want to go for maximum "FUCK YOU" fold silver into your steel blades as you are forging them. That way you don't have to switch out between different weapons while fighting evil fey or vampires or werewolves.

>Wendigos
Fire. Wendigos are extremely vulnerable to heat, because their internal body temperature needs to remain very low, or they risk overheating because they have no real way to thermoregulate. If you can trap a wendigo with fire, it will pass out relatively quickly and then you can either capture or kill it like you would any other medium sized animal.

>Skinwalkers
Research and diligence. Skinwalkers can be forced to kill themselves if their human name is used against them while not in human form. Wounds on the beast also reflect on the human form, so even a small cut can be used to narrow down the possibilities. Look for people who have had mysterious deaths of their friends and loved ones, a skinwalker's first victims are often people who are close enough that they could identify any abnormal behavior. Some lore suggests that they are burned by "white ash", whether that means the tree or just plain ashes seems to vary between stories, so I'd suggest not relying on it.

>Vampires
Garlic actually won't do shit, Vampires have no sense of smell, and Italy has had quite a few vampire outbreaks in the past few centuries. Most other normal weaknesses apply though, unless you're dealing with a vampire from a particularly undiluted bloodline, so it's more than possible to corner them with the standard salt/crucifix/fire/water pumps, and then fuck them up like you would anything else that can regenerate slowly over time.

>Werewolves
Silver is the red herring here, all a silver bullet will do differently from a normal bullet is shine a lot more. As with basically anything that has a strong sense of smell and animal instincts, they don't like smoke, fire, or thunderstorms. Werewolves have a slower time adjusting to sudden changes in ambient light level than humans, so flashlights, flares, and even camera flashes can temporarily blind them. Some breeds have poor blood filtering, so poisons will be effective, but this is not a universal weakness.

First of all, there isn't much historical basis for that urine thing. Second, you actually don't want cold liquid for quenching, you want it to be kind of hot or you shatter your blade by introducing a ton of stress.

Although reading further down your post it might just all be bait

"Past few" may have been slightly inaccurate. Basically, during all of the major European plague outbreaks, Italy had vampires who were hiding out mixed in with mass graves or using the plague as a way to cover their feeding habits. The italians mistakenly drew the wrong conclusions when they found out and assumed that vampires were actually spreading the plague, and went into panicked lynching attempts whenever they suspected someone of vampirism.
