My biggest fantasy as a GM is to run a campaign that would be a self-aware parody of those kids toys animes (Yu-Gi-Oh,Bakugan,Beyblade, Duel Masters) where everyone reacts overdramaticaly every time something happens.
How would you do that /tg/ ?

I remember a thread where the premise of the world was yugioh where your deck was part of your soul, with new cards added to your deck shaped by your experiences, but all your experiences were invariably card games
wanna climb a mountain? You have to beat it in a children's card game. Wanna eat a big burger? Card game. Ask a girl out? Card game. Play a card game? Card game.
A ran a short campaign that was heavily inspired by the tournament island chapters of Yugioh and elements of Kaiji as well. I made up a really simple CCG that was like a combination of Restricted Rock Paper Scissors and Pokémon, I guess? Anyhow, matches were fast so 'combat' wasn't a slog and all players needed to win a few matches to progress to the next part of the tournament. I stole it from Kaiji but it worked real well, each player started with 3 stars. If they won a match they took one of their opponents stars and if they lost they were removed a star. My players fought, traded, stole and more to ensure everyone had enough to continue and there were some backstabbing moments too.I used simple d6 as my system

That sounds pretty fucking hilarious, but you'd probably need the right group to really tie it all together unfortunately.
It may be because I'm just reading the system, but I could see some modified Monsters and Other Childish Things working, only instead of a monster, you have a deck.
