Online games can just revise the card and refund its cost to players. This still may have a negative impact on the player base, but at least the cancer is excised. Storm won't ever leave... same with miracles. The power level will keep rising.

Because Yawgmoth Demon first came out 23 years ago and creatures were kind of utter shit back then due to different design philosophies.
