How /fit/ are sororitas? What do they bench, squat and dead lift?

Obviously they are fit as fuck, they pop more than skulls with those thighs.

They go to war academy except there's no transitioning to a civilian lifestyle.

They'll be pretty damn fit but it's not likely they will care a crazy amount about Olympic lifts and much as endurance training.

Considering most /fit/ guys are obsessed with workout programs that are completely inefficient for fighting a war, probably not very /fit/.

They are definitely at an incredibly high level of physical fitness, but they wouldn't give half a damn about Olympic lifts. Having all that extra muscle to move around is not good when you're trying to move through hours of combat or marching. Look at the body type that most people in the military develop--square frames, with strong cores, calves, and forearms. Second most trained groups are upper arms, back, and upper legs. Nothing is very bulky, because very few of them are lifting weights. All of them can run; maybe not incredibly fast, but for decent distances. They also have tons of stamina usually (soldiers used to march 70+ miles a day, with gear). Special operation body types are usually the same way, just a lot harder trained with more heavily developed forearms, cores, and legs.

Most of a SoB's physical abilities come from the power armor, anyway.

It depends somewhat on the sister. There's no argument that they're not all fit on some level, even the hospitallers and the dialogus sisters, but they're obviously going to be less fit than a battle sister.

And you have to remember that these girls are almost constantly training. Their service is a holy duty, and they probably work exercises into their prayers - even Space Marines in stories grudgingly admire their level of training and skill, closer than most humans to what Astartes do. They are kept to a very rigorous physical standard, probably more than even the guard or stormtroopers just because they don't have that piety surrounding it. They could probably best an average guardsmen or officer in hand-to-hand combat, and do well or at least hold their own against storm troopers and their officers or commissars. Keep in mind that there will be Sororitas from different planets and different genetic stock. You could very well have a deathworld with above average gravity SoB that will be walking the path of the swole by default. And then there is gene therapy. Stormtroopers and kasrkin tend to get it, its entirely reasonable that SoB get some treatments too. Since they are an elite formation I imagine they get a lot of extra work done on those bodies, inside and out.

Power armour does not augment the wearer's strength.

At least not in a way that justifies a change to their statline. A space marine in and out of power armour is strength 4, a sister of battle in and out of power armour is strength 3, a guardsman is strength 3.

Other books also stress it's possible for battle sisters in training to be drummed out of that service if they're found lacking by their instructors, those lacking physically get transferred into the non-combat orders, and those lacking in sufficient faith and conviction get shunted back and become storm troopers.

Consider that the mechanical distance between the strength of a S2 ratling, a literal hobbit, and a S3 Sister of Battle is the same amount of difference between a skin and bones S3 psyker and an S4 Space Marine.
The tabletop statlines are a useful resource but they are also an abstract representation that uses very small numbers for game balance.

Actually she's a Ministorum priest - you can tell because her variation of the I symbol has a skull on it with radiating triangles around it like a sun. The Inquisitorial symbol is an I with two lines going horizontally through it.

I still can't believe so many people don't seem to realize that most Adeptus branches have their own variation on the I symbol, or occasionally their own unique symbol (like the Navis Nobilite). I get that it isn't the most expounded on piece of lore, but you'd think you'd at least notice it with the Ecclesiarchy and how many SoBs and Ministorum priests have some I-shaped charm with a skull on it, or maybe they'll stumble on an old Astropath mini and go 'Huh, why does his I have an eye on it instead of a skull?'

My issue with it was that it basically existed to help try and patch the horrible issues their system had when it tried to run space marines and how it spent a lot of time shitting the bed.

So many posters tried so many times to get this point across. Even pointing out that even if 'all' bolters fired .75 calibre shells, that the length of the bullet can matter just as much as the width, and so on through other ballisitic details... to no help at all. Most of them are shown on the Lexicanum articles for the various organizations if you just want to quickly look online; it seems like the Dark Heresy rulebook depicts most of them, but since obviously some of these symbols/models are older than Dark Heresy, it's hard to say where they all originally came from.

Not that I know of. The Realm of Chaos books have various chaos runes and "The Dark Tongue", which is the chaos alphabet, but the various main god's runes are largely just stylistic changes (like making nurgle's mark less of an obvious penis). I think the Liber Chaotica books also had different symbols and their meanings.

but I was never super into chaos like I was the Imperium's disparate organizations so my autism can't help you much.

In the novel Legacy, there's a charter signed personally by the Emperor, and it notes his symbol as being an ][ with an X over it. Maybe it's similar to the Custodes symbol of an ][ with an eagle head and crossed lightning bolts, as the lightning bolts were the Emperor's symbol during the Unification Wars, after all. There's also the symbol of Malcador, which is somewhat similar to the current Inquisitorial seal.

Chaos symbols tend to be quite various in their style, though following a somewhat clear motif. Like Nurgle has his symbol in 3s with one on top and 2 on the bottom. This can be 3 skulls, 3 circles, a stylistic fly (head and wings), etc.

I would put it down to the never well defined form and mind of Chaos and that often those symbols are manifestations of delusional minds of their followers. Visions they have, a constant shape they see in their heads that they try to understand.
