Alright, you know the rules for this (probably). Roll me a d10 to pick where the hell we are
>>
Rolled 8 (1d10)

come on Stormlands
>>
>>54116547

The reason I say a d10 is just for simplifying
>>
>>54116577

The Reach, could either go with it or roll again to see what else you get
>>
>>54116590
Eh, I'm good with the Reach. What's next?
>>
>>54116626

Roll seven d6s seven times
>>
Rolled 4, 1, 5, 3, 5, 5, 2, 3, 6, 5, 4, 3, 4, 3, 1, 5, 2, 5, 4, 6, 4, 1, 5, 2, 4 = 92 (25d6)

>>54116639
Should I do it like this, or split up?
>>
>>54116648

Split it up would you kindly
>>
Rolled 6, 5, 5, 1, 4, 5, 5 = 31 (7d6)

>>54116657
Well here's number 1!
>>
>>54116686

31-5= 26 Defense

Good enough, nothing bad but nothing extraordinary

Next up: Influence
>>
Rolled 5, 2, 5, 5, 3, 2, 3 = 25 (7d6)

>>54116709
>>
>>54116721

25+10= 35 Influence

Well, this house is on the level of the Cleganes or Karstarks

Next roll is for Lands
>>
Rolled 5, 4, 2, 6, 3, 6, 1 = 27 (7d6)

>>54116733
>>
>>54116739

27-5= 22 Lands

This is the house of mediocrity, my God. Alright, next roll for Law
>>
Rolled 5, 1, 2, 6, 6, 2, 3 = 25 (7d6)

>>54116757
Hooray for mediocrity. We're not important enough to target, but just important enough to kind of matter!
>>
>>54116761

25-5= 20 Law

Well, you've got yourself a bandit problem around the outskirts. But you're close to bringing it under control

Now then, time for power
>>
Rolled 2, 4, 4, 4, 4, 1, 3 = 22 (7d6)

>>54116767
>>
Holy damn this really is a rather mediocre house.
>>
>>54116772

22 power

Your has has been blessed with a modest force, because you are apparently the most milquetoast house there is.

Ok, Population time
>>
Rolled 4, 2, 1, 5, 2, 1, 3 = 18 (7d6)

>>54116792

>>54116792
I vote we are House Milquetoast of the Reach. The Blandest of Bland.
>>
Oddly enough the reach is the bread basket of the seven kingdoms, so you could in fact be grain producers. Maybe have a tendency to fry your bread or something.
>>
>>54116801

18+5= 23 Population

Just a typical amount of smallfolk live in your lands

>>54116805

25+5= 30 Wealth

You've got enough to get by. Not poor, nor are you rich

This is truly the blandest House in the whole Seven Kingdoms

>>54116811
Well shit, let's go all the way then. A house of Bakers and Farmers, Grain Producers and Millers.

Also Breadnaughts.
>>
>>54116817

So in total

26 Defense
35 Influence
22 Lands
20 Law
22 Power
23 Population
30 Wealth

Average all around, then again it can change a bit. Time to find out how old this house is! Roll me a single d6
>>
Rolled 1 (1d6)

>>54116835
>>
Rolled 4 (1d6)

>>54116835
>>
>>54116836

This house is OLD. Came in around back during the Age of Heroes, for this roll me a d6+3

>>54116840

Orrrrr it came during or after Aegon's Conquest. If you pick this option, roll me a single d6
>>
Rolled 3 + 3 (1d6 + 3)

>>54116871
I'll go with unspeakably old. I can see this house as the one that no one remembers, which makes them all the more interesting when they come in to start changing things.
>>
Rolled 2 + 3 (1d6 + 3)

>>54116871
Did you remember to apply Reach modifiers to our stats?
>>
>>54116901

I remember, no worries

>>54116900

Alright. You got a total of six historical events that happen, so roll me 3d6s now.
>>
Rolled 6, 4, 3 = 13 (3d6)

>>54116917
>>
Rolled 6, 4, 6 = 16 (3d6)

>>54116917
Please something interesting.
>>
Rolled 4, 4, 2 = 10 (3d6)

>>54116917
>>
Rolled 2, 6, 2 = 10 (3d6)

>>54116917

>>54116927

Favor, that's good

>>54116929

Conquest? Que?

>>54116940

Uh oh, Decline.

Well keep rolling, three more rolls
>>
Rolled 3 (1d6)

>>54116871
Let's be the most generic house in all of Westeros

One final roll, make it count
>>
Rolled 4, 5, 6 = 15 (3d6)

>>54116959
>>
>>54116958

Doom, this is...troubling. To say the least

So what you all got is: Favor, Conquest, two Declines, a Villain and Doom.

Alright then. This house has gone from average to below average

>>54116973

Or you could swap out Doom with Villain

So, House Milquetoast: Blandest of Bland

Anyone up for rolling up another house?
>>
Rolled 6 (1d10)

>>54117003
Sure why not
>>
You could say House Milquetoast is crumbling.
>>
>>54117003

I'm down to roll a new house, but I have a couple ideas for Milquetoast that might be worth looking at.
>Bakers and Millers since time immemorial.
>House Symbols are the Grain and Sickle on a toasty brown field.
>Words are "From the Hearth"
>Comfy as fuck
>Entire family is kind of fat, in the jolly baker-y way.
>No one ever remembers them.
>Penchant for bushy mustaches and ginger hair. Also for being fucking huge. Patriarch of the family is built like a giant ginger bear.
>While forgotten, still rather important producers of food in the Reach.
>>
I'm actually quite curious to see how the stats for milquetoast came out after all modifiers were applied.
>>
>>54117090
These are post modifiers >>54116835.
>>
>>54117075

You've done good by house Milquetoast anon

>>54117057

The ironborn was >>54118201
founded during the Rhoynish invasion of Dorne a few milenium before the times of the books if I remember.

Once the founding of the house is set, a roll would be required how many significant events happened to that house from birth to now.

Now, you'd have to decide what kind of cribs your house live in. The smallest place would be a tower for 10 defense, you could buy 4 and place them at different place on you land. You could also get a hall/keep for 20, a small castle for 30 or a regular one for 40. Winterfell like castles are 50.

You could also buy the homebrew motte and bailey tg created back in the days for 25.

Each defensive building can hold a certain amount of soldiers/have more rooms for upgrade depending on what you want to do in your campaign.

And I messed up the final law score, it's 20.
>>
>>54120377
Aren't you supposed to do land holdings first?
>>
>>54120412
Everyone does it differently. Usualy doing land first meant that the defense score was low enough to not matter, either low 20 or 10s. And most likely than not people would take a hall over two towers.

With 40, you've got some room to take.

Yo, quick question since I'm drawing the Cromley Milquetoast. What kind of style is reach-noble clothing? I don't want to straight copy the Tyrells, since they're higher ups, but what do you think would be a lower level house's style? Besides the apron-tabards of course.
>>
>>54120499
Would depends on how you want to play the house.
Pure military would be drab chainmail, good quality maybe.
Pure social would be gambison made of linen, velvet or silk depending on the house wealth and standing.
>>
>>54120574
I'm thinking primarily working force actually. The family spends most of their time managing the shipments of grain from their holdings to millers, keeping inventory, and practicing the fine family art of baking. I'm thinking a respectable, but not ostentatious linen gambeson behind an apron.
>>
>>54120636
I'm sure you can find some high quality gambeson or even some brigandine made for social instead of martial encounters.

A small castle and a tower, possibly switch out the castle for a hall and another tower if there's too much land.
>>
>>54120636
Look at littlefinger's. Even though he's the master of coin he doesn't dress that much better than what I think you're looking for.

Let's go with that.
Now that the defense is handled, it's time to decide where in the north the house is settled. With that many lands the sky or the Wall is the limit.

>>54120763
The hills west of Torhens Square. I like the idea of having land next those lakes within the hills, seems pretty comfy while also being defensible.

Okay.
Now that you've decided where to settle, now is time to buy that lands.

Here comes another funny part of house creation.
to buy a domain, you've got to invest in a terrain cost and add the features on it. Depending of the region, some features cannot be had.

You can have multiple domains or you can have a certain number based on your influence score.
>>
>>54121047
For example you could have
Domain 1: Hills(7) [Dense Woods (5)]
Domain 2: PLains(5) [Small Town(20)+Grassland(1)+River(3)]
Domain 3: Plains(5) [River(3)+Grassland(1)]

The third domain could later on host a hamlet that could evolve into a small town if you were to develop your land enough, as of now it would be occupied by bandits.
>>
>>54121047
Let's live in a valley, so that'd be 2 bits of kill and a plain, is 19.
Hill, road. 11
Plain, small town, river. 28.
Hill, light woods, stream. 11
>>
>>54121440
Wait, a road is 5 not 4, knock off the stream.
>>
>>54121440
Hills+road is 12, it'll bring you over your score of 50. Of course you could spend wealth or defense to cover the cost at 2 for 1.
>>
>>54121459
I'll assume that the road connects to Torrhen's Square.
>>
>>54121440
Let's continue without the stream. With that the Land portion is done, which leave us with the Influence, Power and Wealth portion. There's nothing to buy in Population or Law.

It's simple, you choose the unit you want to buy, then you add the training. If you want mixed unit like cavs archer you add the cost of both the cavalry and the archer before adding the training.

You have 26 power, I'll post what each units are for in a moment.

Without further ado, a shitty sketch I did while at work. Here is Ser Cromley Milquetoast, Knight of Robert's Rebellion, ruler of Harvest's Hearth, seen here on a relaxing day practicing the family art of pastry.

Also, an idea in the inevitable event that the War of Five Kings pulls the farmers and bakers of Milquetoast into the horror of war. While Ser Cromley's father, the late Lord Jougin Milquetoast was alive, Ser Cromley trained conscripts into soldiers for the lords of the Reach.
>"I have been told before that the fires of war are what forge men into heroes. That is wrong. The fires of ware burn and blacken whatever they touch, most of all men. To survive this war you must have the components that will let you last through the flames, to rise when others burn, to harden when others collapse, and to stand firm where others falter. It is your job to cultivate these ingredients, but it is my job to ensure that they mix correctly. This training will be harsh, it will beat the air from your lungs and knead the weakness from your bones. But in the end, those of you who follow will stand golden in the sun, and by the Seven you will be the finest force in all of Westeros."
I fucking love bread puns
Also his weapon of choice is a metal edged bread peel that people assume is some kind of halberd.

That's it for the Power, I guess. A bit lacking in archers but hey, don't let that stops you if that's what you want.

Wealth.

This is a bit complicated so here is the full list of things you can buy with wealth. There are a bit more homebrew'd by /tg/ but this is more than enough.

You have 24 Wealth.

How about we take a look at influence.

Well, why not.

Influence is used mainly to buy kids. You can also trade influence to buy Law at a 2:1 rate.

In any case, since Harold Rusgan was the only proposed name for the lord, do people wan't this man to have children?

39 influence, you don't have to spent it all.
>>
>>54123145
Two sons I think.
>>
>>54123177
I'll assume that they are legitimate sons and not bastards so that will suck up 30 influence, leaving the house with 9.

Nearly done, needs to find this house money maker.

Food Agriculture 5
Fishery 5
Timber 5

9 leftover fo the maester (10).

With that I thank everyone who participated in this thread and bid you all a good night.

Here are house arms I made, I think rolled for randomly, for a campaign that never really got off the ground.

Riverlands house, newish (Aegon's Conquest era). Founder was a knight in service to House Tully, granted a keep formerly belonging to a minor lord who stuck with the Ironborn too long.
