At least most other card games' RNG is based only on topdecking. The amount of times I lost to a Yogg or more recently Drakonid OP or getting stupid value off Primordial Glyph or Shadow Visions is insane.

Hearthstone belongs on digital. Maybe it belongs nowhere at all.

Sure, it can be frustrating, but it also creates for interesting and exciting moments. Far more fun to watch a crazy ass Yogg play than it is to watch the hundreds match of MTG where two players run the same cookie cutter decks and the game plays out the exact same way, with only minor variation.

Hey, you could represent HS main feature just fine. Before every encounter each player rolls 1d10 and 1dX where X is player's skill level. During next encounter he can only use dice equal to either 1d10 or 1dX roll. Flip a coin to decide which of the two dice he uses before every roll. If it sounds like tedious clusterfuck of RNG this is intentional
