Anyone use music to set the mood during their campaigns and such? And if so, what is the best/most fitting music you've heard/used during a climactic final battle in the campaign?
For me it was:

In both D&D and Battletech. In D&D it was our party versus an elder blood dragon, and in Battletech it was 12v12, with the player force horrendously under-tonned.

Carmina Burana is the cliche classic.

I use a lot of music since I use roll20 for a game and creating soundtracks with random play through it is relatively easy, assuming you can find it through their search.
Have playlists for all sorts of stuff and the players dig it. Could always use some more suggestions though.
I have a friend who uses almost exclusively music from Umineko, which fits his campaign style very well.

And when combat with fucked up entities with even worse motivations becomes inevitable.

Being the only other person in the group who has read the VN, it's great recognizing all the music being used.
I used this for an Unknown Armies game once:

I find "epic" and over the top music pieces ruin climatic RPG finales. While running Dark Heresy, I used Aphex Twin plus various "atmosphere" sites online to create the mood during our final few session as things looked both hopeful and bleak at the same time. Not that it works entirely, there was no "epic" final fight, just a dim light of hope in the darkness

Try "Melodice" or "Tabletop Audio".
