Finding images is the most common answer, but in my opinion, especially when working on something large, the greatest problem I have is keeping my motivation up. And if you're working on a point-based CYOA which is more than a waifu builder, balancing is a real issue I still didn't get the hang of. Ideas are the easiest part, I have loads more than I could ever put into action.

A blind choice sounds closer to rolling a die than actually choosing, since in both cases, you don't know what you get until after you've done it. Ergo, the whole idea seems counter to the C in CYOA, which would in turn disqualify it from being a good CYOA.

It could still be enjoyable (as there are many bad movies that people like despite, or potentially even because of, their faults), but that's another thing entirely.

Convince me to not make a YGO CYOA about autistic card game shenanigans.

From where I'm standing that sounds pretty fun, but I think just about everything has some sort of fun to it so I'd like a second opinion.

The summoning sigils are sort of cool, but if every tormentor is the same they're barely worth it.
Thrallherd, if you're reading this, could you maybe give tormentors the ability to receive Bound Servant, Least Conduit or similar effects? Then you'd be able to create different demons for different purposes and the unexplained sudden contract ability that exists only to make them more demonic would be unnecesssary, that could be just one of the perks you could grant.

What you're asking for is right there to under alignment. It even lets them skip the mastery step for making a least conduit, so all you'd need to do is connect to all the different worlds then sit back and use your upgraded contracts to run a pyramid scheme.

That's a pretty substantial alignment boon. The void has something like stripping color and the prison has like a second body or whatever. Bleak Fields alignment gives you minions that posses perks you don't, that's a big deal.

I was going to comment on how the description on damned seemed a bit presumptious since I was getting all these cool powers to assuade the cruelty and torment. But then I found out Asphodel is only just outside my reach. Which is pretty darn cruel.

CYOAs with settings tend to spend too much time fucking telling me about the settings and characters. Those things are definitely important, but these descriptions are commonly not at all engaging and usually create a sense of disconnection between the CYOA and the Player.

Too many people have issues where their CYOAs are huge ass walls of fucking text telling me about Camilla the Barbarian and why she wants me for the Avengers instead of just letting the setting engage me and let me figure out shit for myself.

Abbreviation and Engagement are two things that a lot of CYOAs have huge issues with. Too many damn details, 40 pages of bloated content, no incentive to do anything, and the worst part is that people eat this shit up because it's not waifus.
