We're going to sail around the world, doing cruise ship things, and then when space flight becomes available and commerical, we're going to dock, and make a cruise ship that can go into space.

If you're writing something in-depth enough that you question what an appropriate amount of lore would be, rest assured that the lore you provide should always exceed the number of choices one should make.

Try to keep lore in the intro and around the choices relevant, and like >>54069989 said, you can throw extra stuff in a section at the end if need be. Add in all the lore you want there, go crazy and take inspiration from ergodic literature if you like. You really can't have too much lore as a whole, just keep any bits of lore provided around each option relevant and concise so as not to overwhelm the reader.
