How big are the ships in your setting?
>>54062041
Warships don't tend to be much longer than 1 kilometer. Anything longer just isn't necessary; it's usually better to have more ships than bigger ones. Colony ships can be much, much larger, as can cargo vessels.
>>54062041
What are those, ships for ants?
>>54062041
>>54062205
Bigger than that fucking ant picture!
>>54062205
>>54062319
happy now?
>>54062338
I'm always impressed by just how awful the 40k designers' sense of scale are. They are by far the worst in that aspect.
I love how slow EvE ships are. A fast interceptor is like 8000 m/s.
Though they do have super fast warp speeds and are very hard to keep from warping unless you have their warp scrambling/bubbling tech.
>>54062338
What, no covenant supercarrier?
>>54062041
As big as the multiverse.
>implying the setting isn't within the ship.
>>54062338
u forgot to include tngen toppa gurren lagann op
>>54062369
nigga do you even fucking see the Star Wars ones?
At least in 40k they make the size of the ships grimdark as they're so fucking huge entire cities worth of people regularly get lost and form tribes in the bowels.
In Star Wars it's just lol look at this giant spaceship isn't it FUCKING LE EPIC?!?! XD
it's completely fucking retarded
Considering how shitty the movie is, the spaceship is pretty cool.
also the way scales inside the ship parts of the movie are bullshit, it could have been hundreds if not thousands of miles internal on that ship.

AND THEN I FORGET THE IMAGE.
>>54062188
I tend to agree with this guy but my cutoff is more in the 1800 meter range since most of my large ships are hybrid battleship/carriers. Most of my ships are in the 200 to 350 meter range.
>>54062477
>covenant supercarrier
28k+ meters long. Just a bit big for that picture. Never realized how unnecessarily large that thing really is.

That and Star Wars ship damage makes no sense. One place it says "neutronium alloy armor" which would be crazy strong and in another place a very small fighter manages to kill a super star destroyer by crashing into it. If that's all it takes to smash one of these things, just make a giant missile with the required mass and strap a hyperdrive on it.
>>54062716
God that movie was shit.
>Alien ship makes physical contact with the earth.
>99% of human life dies in the resulting apocalypse after having a celestial body make contact with the earth.
Movie ends.

The Executor want brought down by Green leader's suicide run alone. It's chief weakness, like on most star destroyers, was that it's engines were unshielded and vulnerable, so they were heavily bombed until they were almost completely non-functional. The ship also sustained massive damage to its structure from rebel capital ships once its shields were down. Green leader's crash was just the final nail in the coffin. With no propulsion, no navigation, and it's structure falling apart, it couldn't stop itself from falling into the ds2's gravity well
Big enough to have time dilation issues

>since most of my large ships are hybrid battleship/carriers
So are mine, but I don't see a compelling reason to have these being longer than a kilometer. My starfighters are around the same size as real-world jet fighters. If a length of 333 meters is enough for the Nimitz, then a kilometer should be more than enough for a battlestar.
I just call them battlestars. I know what I'm referencing and don't try to hide it.
>and strap a hyperdrive on it.
Properly speaking, hyperspace travel in Star Wars doesn't have much to do with actually going fast.
