Carnifexes with double double Deathspitters are what, 87 or 107 points now?
Either way they're cheap, but are they good? On paper they looks better than before.

And how are dakka flyrants (wings+double double deathspitter), is that still the best way to run em or do I give them a melee weapon as well? 12 highly mobile S7 AP -1 shots seems good.

Just finished up building the last of my infantry, got thirty of these motherfuckers, three autocannon teams, ten engineers, a mole launcher, and two Russes left to paint.

My Eldar took a beating from some Space Wolves tonight. Plasma is really nasty, shooty wolves are now a thing. Also Bjorn is overpowered. Trueclaw puts out ridiculous damage. Compared to my Avatar which costs roughly the same, Bjorn is much stronger across the board. If it gets in contact with anything, it will destroy it.

My only Marine army is for 30k and I'm planning on getting some primarines to use with them in 40k. Seeing that the suit incorporates elements from MkIII and IV suits, it should be just fine. Yeah, I'm totally converting my own Archmagos (with blackjack and hookers), partially because snowflakes and partially because fuck painting and transporting that monstrosity. He made my friend who has a full Carnival of Pain painted up say "that's a bit much", along with the Tzeench player, so I'm staying well away.
Now I just have to figure out how to magnetize the base so I can swap him between 40k 70x105 and 30k 60mm. Well, Cawl got two memos at once - Guilliman gave him the memo to improve the Adeptus Astartes, and GW gave him the memo to shoehorn truescale into space marine figures. So, Primaris it was!
Still sticking with my theory that, within three years, either...
A)The 'Primaris glands' will just be a part of the standard Marine upgrade procedure, which is why all marines are now truescale, and the primaris special rules will quietly get phased out;
or
B)All marine models will be truescale, but there'll be a special shoulder piece or something to designate when someone's actually a Primaris special unit.
Since there's zero change in the artwork (primaris aren't actually taller in-universe or anything, they just have different armor), it doesn't really mean as much as people seem to think.
I totally love Cawl, though. Even if his preferred designs are a little more 'tacticool' then I'd like, I'm not gonna argue with a guy who got around the 'no thinking machines' rule by making sure that the one he built just had his brain!

I went exactly for that "stained" look with visible layers for the inside bits of my necrons.

White basecoat, sepia stain in the recesses to give an "oil stain" look, then bleached bone armor and finally highlights.

Looks good, it,s quite fast and at least is't not the fucking boltgun metal necron army.

I thought about base coat of chaos black, light with 50/50 white scar and administratum grey, then shade with druchii violet or similar, and finally for the characteristic brightness add a final layer of 'ard coat

So 9 Daemon princes with wings, double claws and warp bolters is 1700pts, any reason I shouldn't use this at an upcoming 1750 pt tournament? Assume that I hate everyone I'll be playing against.

I do know that my Arquebi have been making a fine habit out of blasting the heads off the Primaris characters and assorted other dudes. I'm going to step them up to two 5/2 squads, the one I have has already killed three Lieutenants, two Captains, two Commissars and a Tempestor Prime across three games, although we have less terrain than we should have. They did come up against a Vindicare hanging with the Guard, but he spent the entire game pinging wounds off the autohealing Dominus. I think there's a certain point where sniper fire becomes awesome, but any more power after that is wasted because you're still doing only a couple wounds. Ratlings are the Conscripts of the sniper competition, they're good and cheap, Arquebi are the Neutron Lasers. Vindicares are more Railguns, they look scary but they've got less dakka, are vulnerable to one bad roll and aren't actually much more dangerous than an Arquebus Ranger a lot of the time. I would say Vindicares are actually not massively scary against Guard, since you were already wounded on 3+ by regular sniper fire and don't have amazing saves. Can't rate the other three, but I suspect that you could snipe them to death with a bunch of Rats and a lot of luck.

Marine guy was kinda salty when his Character buffs went down and the DakKastelans tore his Hellblasters and later Inceptors to bits. He seriously overestimated how much damage five plasma bolts would do - kept expecting them to kill the robots dead even after I shot his rerolls, so two of the HB exploded of their own accord.

Infiltrators still doing what they do, Rusties are now cleanup units. Toss them at small Marine squads, Sternguard or something, or even at severely wounded vehicles and have them deal with them cheaply and then die, thus saving your actual guns from enemy fire.

I bet you didn't notice that there are two different dataslates for rubric marines in the Chaos Index, one which is elite at page 29 but with a variable legion and one which is troop at page 54 but with a fixed legion. The same is for Berserker, plague marines and Noise Marines.

The is absolutely no restriction for using the troop dataslate any time you want in any chaos army you want, the only benefit in running elite Rubric Marines is that they can get bonuses from not thousand sons special character, like Abbadon.

Not at all what it means, you only need 1 keyword in common, you can take troop thousand sons and troop khorne berserkers in the same army because they share the chaos and heretics astartes keywords

The stating of a Chaos Legion is done on a unit basis.

I can have Khorne Berzerkers from World Eaters in Troops, and Khorne Berzerkers from Black Legion in Elites.

This is what it says on the page in Index: Chaos.

The whole detachment does NOT need to be World Eaters. Fact. Cannot be argued on, unless you enjoy being wrong.
