Okay,so here's an idea.
Could we replace boarding rules with infantry rules?When they board a ship,they have to fight the crew to get to the power source and blow it up.

It would allow for a fusion of infantry and fleets,and would be fun.Plus,then when people post how many crewmembers are on their ship,it would matter more.

Of course,vehicles may not be allowed,except maybe some specially designed for boarding.Like having a Defense Turret as a vehicle,or a mech suit.Either way,it would be awesome to describe soldiers grappling the sides of ships and blowing holes in them while the sky rages.

Ahhh...yes, I too remember the Noo quite fondly and throughout the chaos the old federation had to deal with, they were one of the principal contributors towards diplomacy, despite their smaller political stature.

At the start of a battle u less the enemy has specifically stated to have defended comms,you roll and automatically get in and remove the amount of ships rolled,d5 for dreads,d10 for battleships,etc.
If it is shielded,you roll to get in,and if you hit an even number you succeed and take away the ships.

And also,I am okay with rolling.I just would not like for people to roll for everything,you know?Instead of rolling to kill an NPC,you can just fluff it out.Not necessarily automatically winning,but its faster and makes sense.

Also,is it just me,or dothese battles take a little too much time?
With the inability to post until after a minute has passed,the large amount of health,and the fact that a lot of posts take minutes to type,it seems these fights drag on a bit too long.

This is perfect for large scale huge battles,sure,but then they are used as backdrops,battles in the sky while focus is on the boots on the ground.

Meanwhile fleet battles take an immensely long time compared to others.

So,here's an idea.We obviously keep fleet rules the same,since they are balanced for the most part,now,but we speed it up or slow it down when we all agree.

For example,instead of using 20d10 right now,why not just use 20d20,or even 10d100?

Again,just a thought.We can keep in as before if you want.
