Very well - they get a lot of synergy with SfD. I think the thing that surprised most people about them is their shooting output - 7 of them get 24 Catapult shots and 7 lance shots before charging. I was generally able to sling shot charge them quickly - move 16, kill a unit, SfD another 16 to position the charge against the unit I wanted.

Is it just me, or is the Primus Redoubt a really good Titanic killer for it's points? The damn thing is 300 points with it's Dual Turbo-laser Destructor and it has a ~41% chance to kill a GW index Imperial Knight in one round of shooting with an additional ~38% chance to kill it in a second round if the first round fails.

The redoubt is damn near useless against any unit larger than a few models unless you stack more guns on it, but it puts out an insane level of damage with it's 2D6 damage, which is doubled against Titanics.

Lots of bodies is fairly easy, I'm producing (without my guardians out) - 40+ shruiken/splinter shots a turn. That doesn't include the Shining Spears catapults, the guardians, rapid fire range on the venoms, etc. I played against 100 conscripts and moved through him with relative ease. Doom is a real bitch when you apply it to 50 models and it affects your entire army.

Rhino Rush isn't that scary either. I've got 5 Lances on the table, plus the hemlock, 2 blaster shots, and shruiken cannons work well enough when you have enough shots.

There's no difference at the moment. With the Indexes, everyone lost their Relics and Chapter Tactics, so they're all the same. The only differences right now are their Special Characters, and I think Forgeworld has a Raven Guard Character or two out in their Indexes.

When those come back, we can talk, but otherwise read up on their lore and strategies and see what appeals to you. Might as well procrastinate while new things are still being released so you can make a more informed decision.

I'm actually doing a small squad of Golden Halos for Inq28. They'd be survivors from a crashed Drop Pod that have been rescued by an Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor and pressed into service on her own mission before being allowed to rejoin their Chapter. Part of the intrigue for them will be their Apothecary's need to keep the geneseed of their dead comrades who died in the crash pure and stable, as well as their Sergeant's suspicion that their Drop Pod getting shot down was the fault of Inquisitor so she could scoop up the survivors for her own ends.

She'll also have her own retinue of freaks from many walks of the Imperium, plus some less freaky Acolytes.

Hit the lore wikis and start researching. Whose Primarch do you like more? Do you prefer Thunder Hammers or Lightning Claws? Do you like Black, Yellow, or Silver better, and which is hardest to paint?

Just learn as much as you can and find something that sticks. Personally, of those choices I like Raven Guard because I like stealth and Jump Packs, too. Plus I like their successors. Although if we're talking successors, I like the Iron Hands successor Chapter Sons of Medusa.
