Mk VI had a solid chestplate, limiting mobility. You literally couldn't bend over or crouch forward. My guess is Mk X abdominal plating clanks too much. Yeah, exposing the gut to the same level as the hip joints and underarms is bad, but this armor is supposedly "COMPLETELY OPERATIONALLY TACTICALLY OPERATINGLY SILENT" whereas Mk VI is simply quieter than the standard WHIRR WHIRR CLANK CLANK of power armor.

These guys literally have nothing but knives and sidearms and grenades, so my guess is if they're discovered, they already fucked up, and even if they're discovered, at least they'll still have more protection than scouts or guardsmen.

Kids these days don't know how good they have it. Being a veteran of 20+ years, I remember having to wait ages for things to be released. And when it was it came out a blister with an un-fit, badly sculpted blob of metal that was horrid to work with.

Now days, kids all just sit and complaints endlessly on new things that are released each week. Trying so hard to be this wargamer hipster, only talking about "the good´ol days" when models where good, and when prices where better.
Well I started in the "good´ol days", and prices where shit back then to (if not worse for what you got), and the models where 9 times out of 10, pure shit in comparison of quality with today's models. This is at least my personal perspective about the subject. Am I a hardcore fan of the new marines, no, but do I sit and nag on new stuff all the time like a little girl, hell no!

The only thing I don't like about them is that they copied Necron faces perfectly.

Space Marines sell and I'm guessing there are a portion of people who aren't willing to collect anything but a SM army and for whom FW is out of reach or still not enough.

GW is a business, they have to make money. Whenever someone says GW should stop focusing on SM the only solution they offer is to roll the die and see if focusing on another army will magically make it sell substantially more then it already is. The only time this possibly happens is when GW either does a massive overhaul of an existing army (Of which the only real option Sisters since enough people still seem content with the old models for armies like Eldar) or possibly when GW releases a completely new army (This at least possibly has some evidence to back it up since Imperial Knights, Mechanicus, and Genestealer Cults all seem to have done well).

I'll admit Tau slipped my mind, the only thing I can say against them is that they seemed to be driven by rules which isn't a formula I think GW can count on consistently. If they focus on appealing models and/or lore then at least you will have people who buy into the army even if it doesn't play the greatest on the tabletop.

I also don't think GW becoming competent at writing rules all the time and then using that ability to sell models is what anyone wants.
