Good system, hard to get into (mostly cause the book is bad).

Yeah, and some nonsensical editing with important info being all over the place, and some info just plain missing (elemental chi recharge mechanics are basically inferred not actually spelled out anywhere, for example).

Not him, but yes, incredibly poorly formatted. Fluff and mechanics are intertwined, making it really hard to tell if an oddly-worded phrase is a flowery koan or an intricate ruling. Too many things are left under or wholly unexplained.

As many have said, great system, but you'll need some help sorting through it because the book was edited by strange aliens who exist in different dimensions than us

Well then it's a good thing I have Knowledge Skill: Arcane Game Development Bullshit if I'm DMing, I suppose. That said, the book sounds as much a reading comprehension quiz as anything else, which is going to be annoying.
