Seriously. Would hire to build my supervillain lair.

Off course.

A good lair needs constant work, and having a at qt carpenter on site is handy.

Worked in a technical college, training carpenters and joiners. The guys were mostly people who fucked up their secondary school years. The girls were few and far between, but actually put the hours in and outperformed the guys year after year. They tended to find it hard to get work afterwards though. Lots of them transferred to multitrades (decorating) because for some reason people preferred to trust these talented woodworkers with paintbrushes.
>>
>>53894143

The fuck?
>>

Yes
>>
>>53894498
>The girls were significantly (and very consistently) much more competent.
Carpentry I can kind of squint and see what you mean, except that the girls didn't fall behind particularly when they had to do site days, though they did tend to be a bit shorter than the average guy.
Joinery and other workshop stuff? If you have to be peak fitness you're doing it wrong. Work smarter.
>>
>>53894143
>The girls were few and far between, but actually put the hours in and outperformed the guys year after year
As someone who actually went to a tech college I can tell that you a full of fucking shit.

Keep your TALES OF INDEPENDENT STRONG WOMYN WHO OUTPERFORMS MEN to tumblr or twitter just like the anecdotes of your wife's 5 year old son being woke.
>>
>>53894793
no, I mean ladies should specifically be better at carpentry than men because they've got better reflexes and agility going on.

Like, if you're going to be sexist, you WANT a lady carpenter. It's not like they're an architect.
>>
>>53894918
Stay mad, bro. I know where I worked.
>>53894967
As far as I could tell, it was mostly just that the girls who were there wanted to be there, and the guys mostly got pushed into it by failing their GCSEs. It's insane how little respect trades get in life, despite requiring all the discipline and intelligence most degrees do.
>>
>>53895084
>trades
>intelligence
Haw.
Though, thinking trades require intelligence might be why sexists went for men instead of women.
>>
>>53893431
Incredulous is the word your looking for anon.
>>
>>53894918
Its not uncommon especially in more "manly" trades for women to outperform men on a regular basis. Mainly because they're there despite it being a "manly" task and thus typically enjoy it and actively work on getting better.
That in itself will make them the upper tiers of the group. That's not to say women are better than all men, just that in those cases they're often better than the majority of men because the majority of men don't care or want to be there so they're automatically out of the running.
>>
>>53893501
I'd let her install my plumbing.
>>
>>53895124
Being a good mechanic, electrician, or even plumber is actually pretty taxing brainwork outside of the very routine maintenance stuff. For builds of a certain size, where there's no architect but some complexity, a carpenter has to be able to plan and construct a building. Compared to feminist literary criticism, it's actually pretty hard.
>>
>>53895223
He's probably not giving you a serious answer, he's either trolling or he unironically thinks that everyone without a college degree are subhumans.

With actual villains, I would have to say Kothophed from MTG lore, because he sends Liliana to one of the only things in the multiverse that can help her get out of her demon contract and then dies right after she comes back. Plus his card isn't played at all

>>
>>53895823
Affirmative action has no impact on the trades. If you have skill, apprentice, you gain your papers the same as anyone else. Nor are there any gender quotas in the trades; if there were, we'd probably have far more women in the trades because we'd be required to.

As the other anon noted, there is affirmative action in engineering, which is why you can't say all women engineers are better than their male peers. They aren't, strictly, required to be to get a job.

But carpentry, general contracting, plumbing, welding, masonry, et alia are highly competitive. You get enough bad reviews on Angie's List or Yelp and you won't be working in that part of the country much.

But please, shut the fuck up.
>>
>>53894143
As an Electrican you are kinda full of shit. Women are few in the trades but for the most part they do well in school. These same women I went to trade school with are absolute shit out in the field.

Every woman I have worked with has pulled more stop work cards than guys and for the most retarded reasons. One kept going home 3 hours into he shift claiming she had heat stroke. They refuse to do anything besides prefabing light material or acting as a ground man for those up in lifts. Basically any job which requires them to stand around.

>>
>>53894967
>adies should specifically be better at carpentry than men because they've got better reflexes and agility going on
But they don't.
>>
>>53897352
You're a retard or trolling. Not him, and not in a trade school, but my major was very very broad and required self-discipline and actual interest to make due with it. Since it was so broad it was constantly full of dullards who failed STEM courses or the more difficult liberal arts courses, making a majority of the major complete morons. The people who were there because they wanted to excelled and the disparity between the two groups was ridiculous. It's not that difficult to assume that women who are going into a trade that is not "feminine" are likely there because they WANT to be, not because they failed out of other opportunities. Is it that hard to assume a small minority of people who want to be there could be better than the larger majority of people who fell into it?
>>
>>53897465
>people were murdered on her behalf

>>
>>53895314
Because they are. Impotent rage does that to everyone, and extremists on both sides are prone to it.
>>
>>53897503
My example wasn't even girl power. I'm a man. I went to a majority 70-30 female school, so I was the minority that excelled in my field because the majority of people had just fallen into it. That said, the girls who chose to be in the major also excelled.

>>53897554
You might actually just be illiterate.
>>
>>53897506
Maybe on bizzaro /pol/.

To believe half of those things on that list you'd have to also believe that your vote was able to stop such a terrible menace. Get real.
>>
>>53897577
>My example wasn't even girl power.
But the one we're talking about is exactly that. It's a constructed story either to push his fetish or a political leaning. Hell, you've turned your own manufactured story into one just to try and further support it, probably out of fetish or politics.

And seriously, don't whine about people objecting when you post a story that tries to push a "Women are just better than men" angle. That's never going to fly without comment.
>>
>>53897554
I will instead blame the guys who spam political shit like hillary nonsense and gender warfare.
So, /pol/.
I mean, fuck, we didn't have these problems before you guys showed up near the election. And it's been non-fucking-stop since. It is really hard NOT to blame you for it, given the incredible correlation.
That, and you see girl power in an incredibly bland and centric message about "hey, giving a shit is way more important than other things"
>>
>>53893357

>>
>>53897642
I'm telling you that the guy who felt the need to push a "Girls are better than men" meme started the gender war shit, idiot.
>>
>>53897625
No one said women are better than men. He said that women who actively seek work in male professions tend to excel, because the women who would fail tend to avoid said professions.

I'd assume the same is true for male nurses or male seamstresses--they excel because they actively seek to excel.

>>53897643

>>
>>53897625

>>
>>53897655
And I'm telling you, that you are seeing "girls are better than boys" in an incredibly tame "people who give a shit are better than people who don't give a shit" story, and are using it specifically to start gender wars because that is all you have fucking been doing since the goddamn election you horrendous waste of human life.
>>
>>53897602
Almost all of the things on that list were definitely true, though.
Also, this is the woman who was behind the disastrous foreign policy that has the Middle East and North Africa on fire.
She's honestly done so much indirect damage to Europe that I'd shudder to think what she'd do to the US.

I'm not lying about it, you just seem to have trouble understanding others. There's some sort of disorder you guys on /pol/ love to talk about that might explain your inability to get that anon was saying that people who are actively leaving their comfort zone will tend to excel more than people who aren't, simply because they have to.

Again, a male nurse is likely going to be above-average because he has to try harder to do it. He doesn't just fall into that shit.

Imagine having literally nothing exceptional about you besides your male gender, so you have to argue about gender politics on a Mandalorian cage fighting newsfeed.

That in itself will make them the upper tiers of the group. That's not to say women are better than all men, just that in those cases they're often better than the majority of men because the majority of men don't care or want to be there so they're automatically out of the running.

You can't even say niggers anymore without people getting offended here
>>
Is it Tomaru time?
>>
>>53900437
The majority of 4chan has never been full /b/pol/tard.
Being an asshole is one thing, acting like an edgy wannabe racist faggot is another. Idc about racist jokes or people having fun with it. It's another when someone believes it and actively shits up a thread because people don't all circle jerk his 12 y/o edgy values.

Humans defend themselves against their own unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others.

Well, yeah. The janitors hate /tg/ related content.

The point is that people are starting to care more and more about others saying "bad words" for some reason
I'm relatively new to 4chan, but I don't remember this happening before and nor have I seen it mentioned anywhere
It's as weird as getting into some fat chick's tumblr and seeing her use words like nigger or faggot
It's almost uncanny

I'm not sure how we could have avoided the shitpost president timeline, other than unilateral war on the russians.

No no no sir. The Perpetual Summer began during Chanology. We took ourselves seriously and paid in blood. We shall never again be free; we drew too many eyes our way.

I just lost The Game.

You know what. I stand with this anon.

I just lost the game as well.

The thing is people are fine with words here. They're not okay with the rampant shitposting that is going along with that.
Saying nigger is fine. 100 posts of why someone is wrong because they said a black dude can be an amazing engineer is just annoying.
>>
>>53897840
I think it's a sign of a website growing in size/appeal that it stops being about "the people who like X" and starts being "about X".

"People who like TTRPGs" have reason to like quests, some did, some didn't, but in the end it was essentially just a "role-play-by-committee" story, which was great if you hate PbP games, didn't have anybody IRL to play with, or didn't want to risk an randoms online.

/tg/ is just more popular, but it also means that the rules have to be stricter, because more people means more people "bending" the rules which is overall "bad" for a community.

>I hate both major candidates but anything else is considered "sitting on the fence" or "throwing away my vote"
God bless the American political system, the only time you can criticize someone when they say "maybe we should eat somewhere else" when you've just stopped at a restaurant that serves either cow shit or horse shit.

All these faggots fighting over political women shit, and then we got this anon asking the important questions
>>
>>53899651
Even if they did, they just admitted that they clarified what they ACTUALLY meant.
At this point it sounds like you're one of those people who when a journalist/news feed makes a retraction/clarification on a story just keeps going "BUT YOU SAID-!" and ignoring the fact that the follow up was a clarification for poor wording/communication, instead treating it as them denying what they said had the meaning it did.
Hint: If they needed to clarify, then they are acknowledging the fact that they may not have caused their High School English teacher to spontaneously orgasm with joy by writing something that 100% can not be interpreted incorrectly no-matter how hard someone tries.

Anon, if you cut off your leg and place it on another room it won't get to building it's own life.
You both bleed out, the only important difference is that the leg does so first.

YOU ARE ON A QUEST!!!
A crossroads lies before you.
To the east, is a lovely college, where beautiful women learn how to build palaces.
To the west, is a thriving trade city, where the city council is embroiled in a hotly-contested election!
Which way do you travel?
>>
>>53903846
where do you think anon?
>To the east, is a lovely college, where beautiful women learn how to build palaces.
>>
>>53903846
Where did we come from? If the hotly contested election is contested by the other cities in the kingdom we might be able to find work as an outsider who "isn't involved".
Do we need money, or are we set for now? Building palaces seems like a good job too, but unless we can afford the tuition/housing we might be learning out of a cardboard box unless we plan on doing the "professional student" thing... is that related to the other cities election?

With such little information I'll go with:
If we have good money/have good loan system for students:
>Enroll in the lovely college
If we need money
>Find a job in the trade city so we can afford to enroll in the lovely college.
>>
>>53903888
we should take up male prostitution, college is a woman's experimental phase, a lot of them like to try new things.
>>53903841
>>53903750
Personally I didn't see a problem with quests being on /tg/, I'll never understand why there were people that gave so much of a shit about them
>>
>>53903908
Good point. If we ever get desperate we could probably get a little bit of cash by selling our body, so yeah. All in on the lovely college plan.

My understanding is that every now and then lots of people would go "Hey that quest thing is pretty cool, but I have an idea for my own" and once a fortnight or so they would just FILL the place, but I wasn't here when it was super bad apparently so it's just what I could piece together. I only saw it when it was Haphazard, Harembro-quest, and another magical girl quest of some kind, that I could see consistently alive.

To be fair, she's actually a pretty good carpenter in the comic, at least way better than she is as a super villain.

>stricter rules
The rules have gotten significantly more lax, though.
I mean, look at this thread.
>>
>>53903929
While I kind of get that, it doesn't change the fact exiling the quests on their own containment board seems to messed up /tg more than a lot of people guessed it would have, then you got the elections aftermath and /tg just isn't as good as it was before. Honestly, if I were the mods I would've just changed it back and let the quests return, it would just make at least somewhat better despite the clear political divide that now exists. Not that much better, but better overall.
>>
>>53903929
plus it just pisses me off that the mods caved in at all
>>
>>53904052
The mods caving did cause a pretty incredible uptick in shitposting.
I mean, fuck, that's never a good idea.
>>
>>53904112
nope, never. I've almost never seen a situation where caving in because people are complaining produced good results. I don't even give a shit about quests, but I thought caving in like they did was the stupidest thing they could have done.
>>
>>53893357
You're a monster
>>
>>53904126
Honestly, the only time I've seen 4chan do it is when the ones complaining were also ban evading.
Like the MLP spammers that just kept ban evading until all MLP discussion was cordoned off.
