I was hoping i could ask you, /tg/ a few tips on fashion.
I've got a character who's been in the same tiger skin leotard for the past 8 years and its gotten a bit worn. She needs to update her wardrobe a bit.
What's some good outfits for the adventuring Oni martial artist with a "traditional" theme to it. Preferably something that allows a lot of freedom of movement.
Also Character art thread, and discussion about adventuring attire.

A human sized Gi with the pants turned into booty shorts
Get your master's symbol emblazoned on the back, and enchant it to glow whenever you get serious.

Either have her hunt down another tiger and turn its skin into her new outfit, or just start wearing a sturdy type of gi, maybe with some significant calligraphy across the back.
Maybe a bit of both--gi with a tiger-skin bikini underneath, or a tiger-skin cape.

She's been wearing it since she was 15 and she's out grown it. we're about to hit a milestone in the campaign and that's a perfect time for a new outfit.

tbf as both an oni and a martial artist, you might be good to go nude
Impress the boys too

Why not a proper kimono or some sort of loose shirt with generous cleavage and large, poofy pants? The leotard is sexy as fuck and should stay in her wardrobe for special occasions, but milestones represent growing as a person and I think she should grow up a bit, wear something more womanly or less explicitly sexy.

Wear a one-armed short kimono and a bandeau.
>traditional japanese clothing with a bit of a twist
>short and loose, so good freedom of movement for both arms and legs
>looks sexy, badass, and fairly distinctive

What if we combined these three?
Monk's robe, with one arm undone, a sarashi, short poofy legs. maybe cut out slits for the inner thighs. like juri.

Does the campaign take place in the west or the "not asia"?
I ask because I drew an Ogre for somebody else and their deal was a very simple fusion of east traveling over to west: Their Ogre was from "not india" and they were traveling to the west to visit orcish land: they wore western 'troll/ogre' overalls while adapting their tiger-skin loin cloth into a fashionable scarf/shawl.
Though, if it's still in the east, I'd suggest: one of those short/thigh length japanese tunics accompanied by either finding a new tiger skin or using your old one to make into a pair of 'exceptionally' fashionable tiger-fur thong underpants.
Then maybe tie the outfit together with some thigh/leg warmers tied on and either go barefoot or some sandals.

If you familiar with The Pathfinder adventure path "Jade Regent" that's whats going on.
But if you're not.
We're Starting in the west specially in fantasy Romania/Italy, and taking a journey to not!Asia. The character in question is from a family with ancestry in not!Asia. Not to mention studied martial arts from a master from not!Tibet.

I'm not exactly in a position to post images right now, but why don't you take a look at the character "Okatsu" from the videogame "Nioh?" Would need to be upscaled and given a couple liberties here and there, but I think that might really work for a girl trying to embrace her heritage using Western tailors.

For someone with inhuman toughness/strength and strike based style a leotard or something similarly minimal is actually pretty nice. You don't want cloth to slow your strikes or be where for someone to grab it. And considering that oni probably doesn't care much about elements or say branches in the forest that can catch your legs there is no need for protective clothing.
Maybe a large cloak for rainy days to top it.
Flowing wide pants and sleeves are good for feints and fighters who rely on skill and agility much more than strength. If oni is something like on the picture it will only get in the way.
Why bother with clothes?I ask because my healer is a habitual nudist. They get covered in gore constantly and look better coated in red.
Maximum Charisma also helps.

Cloaks with hoods over loose clothing with cloth boots for summer. Layers added for spring/autumn. Fur vest and leggings with leather boots for winter.
a carrying frame, ruck sack, 2 draw string bags, a wool bed roll, a canteen, wineskin, and oiled leather backpack.
bandolier, belts, and leg webbings are nice too.
an axe/hatchet, knife, bow and arrow, and a wooden short spear as a walking stick.
flint and steel, rope, oiled canvas tarp, camping and cooking tools, a small medicine kit, a small notebook/journal with a pencil, and a small assortment of other tools.

I believe this was done so they can see she wasn't cheating when throwing dice. That said one armed Kimonos are sexy as fuck and I approve.
if you want to go more classy something like this perhaps? Maybe she's trying to "fit in" with the women of not-asia or sees fine elegant ladies and decides she wants to try that despite being a six foot tall muscular oni-zon?
"Oh this is so pretty! I want one"
"um are you sure its just that.."
"Just WHAT? Are you saying i can't be graceful and ladylike"
"No no no! Just put down the tanabo!"
For added fun have her be forced to made modifications like the popped cleavage (covered with sarashi if you want something more modest) or exposed shoulders caused by hulk-style flexing-rips that people think are absolutely wild and shocking but as they become big damn heroes they start noticing other women adopting the style.
