The idea is you can continue with Ryanne or Cally if you chose them initially, but you have a selection of new companions to replace others that are unavailabe for the war.

So if you picked Ryanne and Whisper, Ryanne would continue being a companion for the war and you could have Kalos in lieu of Whisper for the duration.

If you'd chosen Gideon and Whisper, neither would come to the war with you, so you could pick two of the new companions instead.

Does anyone else feel like this CYOA is just a bit underwhelming next to Zodiac Brides? For me, it made quite a bit of difference that the waifu text was written by the waifus, which gave them some personality and life. This one just feels like a generic waifu+power CYOA.

I'll take the Fifth grail war, and I shall nudge things so that Kotomine makes the wish, and then grant his wish for destruction by basically consuming everything myself, I shall eat the entire world and gain all of their powers/souls/whatever for myself. I guess anyway. I think that's the most power I could get out of it. Though I also think it would be really hard to make it so that anyone but Kotomine, or one of the Emiyas wins, so the only wishes I would expect being asked to grant are basically utopia or destruction. For a Utopia wish I'd just grant it by manifesting a higher being that would manage the world, and also do whatever I want. If somehow someone else got a wish chances are it would be for something like a true magic or knowledge from root, in which case I'd likely grant it to not only them but myself and still end up with an absurd amount of power. As for the Servant I'm taking, it's hard to decide, but I'm going to go with Rider, as I expect I would get along better with her than Caster.

I was trying to ask what Mimicry, Spacetime, and the like's Physiology forms looked like. If mimicry physiology just turns you into raw mana that immediately dissipates, it's basically a suicide power, and the abstract elements are harder to conceptualize.

Also, how does Absorption interact with the mimicry? Can you recharge while you're mimicking in addition to your new element's power, do you not get the utility power that you're copying, or are you locked out of recharging unless you fully drain?

Dog is pretty good too, but sounds more fitting for a comfy life. Horse has that lord-servant dynamic which I'm not really fond of. Others are decent, but not really my type besides dragon, who doesn't want to adventure.

Gin was orphaned when a grim attack on her village took her parents and her arms. Growing up with cheap cybernetic arms, the most her parent's estate could afford, made her a less than ideal choice for adoption and kept her in the foster system. During this time she grew to resent people, save for the broken and downtrodden like herself, and learned she had to fight to claim what she wanted.

Her descent into crime began with purse snatching and shoplifting before progressing to breaking into people's homes. After a couple tussles with unsavory individuals Gin learned she had a knack for fighting and graduated to mugging. With the lien she saved Gin managed to upgrade her cybernetics in a blackmarket clinic, swapping the skeletal arms for something more powerful and human looking.

With her new arms and semblance Gin made a splash in underground fighting, entertaining the crowd with her ability to use her opponents' own moves against them. It was in the ring that Gin drew Torchwick's notice and after the match he approached her with a job opportunity.
