This is the first edition launch I've been in the hobby to experience. It's a little silly, but I'm really excited. Splitting the starter box with a Nurgle friend, using the new space marines alongside my Guardsmen. Really like how big and chunky they seem to be, I hope they'll look good towering over my IG regulars.

I heard they're going to get actual Primaris kits out so they won't be reboxing those. I can see them selling the HQs individually and if they're asses to Chaos like usual, they'll rebox the Nurgle ones like they did with Dark Vengeance's CSM.

Fellow Chaos Enthusiasts! Let's discuss 8th ed. tactics, unit tiers and shit like that!

So Terminators... You grab 5 with combi plasmas and you DS them. min distance from enemy models is 9 inches, which is rapid fire range. So you can either get 10 bolter shots + 10 plasma shots at BS 4+, or 10 plasma with BS 3+. And they should stay alive and shoot again next turn. Seems bretty gud to me.

Rhinos: you can load them up with a combi weapon and a havoc launcher and be an annoying, cheap, durable shit, or you could use them as mobile LoS blockers / assault breakers. Hell, you can tie enemy fire support in CC!

Defilers: nearly fucking immortal with good weaponry. Ugly AF model though.

Jugger Lord plus a bunch of spawn seem like an appropriately scary and durable bunch.

Khorne Berzerkers: like basic marines, but SUPER killy in CC. Maybe worth delaying the Rhinos' quest for Annoying Shit Of The Year Award (TM) to deliver these bad boys to the enemy?

Some are. For instance, Harpies should be considered in a nid list, for their ability to deal mortal wounds to characters. It's a strange form of sniping, and the only form that Nids have besides Mawlocs. In a Dark Eldar List, Razorwings might be one of the best units in the index.

That makes no fucking sense, all of the models cost money. They aren't the most expensive pound-per-point or anything. Wave Serpents were pretty cheap money-wise and took up plenty of points, the army was cheap to buy. Meanwhile Pyrovores were one of the most expensive models for their points cost and size, and they were shit.

The price of the model has zero bearing on how effective it is in-game. There are plenty of examples of models that are expensive in money but not great in rules. It's all about how they can make that model profitable compared to how hard it is to produce.

An example of pay to win would be a video game that's free to play online, but you can spend money on special equipment or whatever, and that special stuff is better than the free stuff and is the only way to be competitive. That's pay to win.

It's actually a great strategy. He's submitting those Necron Worlds as soon as they reveal themselves, but before they fully awaken. So his troops have an easy time and when they finally manage to awaken fully they are under his control, so he's gaining lots of armies and manpower with little effort.

Remember that necrons vs necrons wars are like Tyranids ones, nobody loses anything, it just change the leadership.
