How do you guys handle hygiene in medieval settings? For those of you who didn't take evercleansed anyway.
>>
>>53847710
People in the medieval era were far more hygienic than most people give them credit for. Most of the "never bathes" memes originate from the Victorian era, when the rivers and such were filled with filth and could get you sick for bathing.
>>
>>53847710
Evercl–
Oh.
You have a Warehouse, anon.
Store some fucking basic hygiene products in there.
Alternately, I think there's a perk or item in the Hollywood jump that gives a lifetime supply any products you star in an ad for.
>>
>>53847732
Tell that to the serfs that had livestock sleeping in hut with them
>>
>>53847732
That's actually only true for early medieval times. Once the Black Plague hit, people blamed bathing and stopped taking baths until the Industrial Era.
>>
>>53847710
Steal from Rome and set up an Aqueduct and a bath-house.
>>
If you do two jumps in the same world, same timeline, and they don't have continuity drawbacks, are the jumps completely separate realities?
>>
>>53847811
Yes
>>
>>53847811
Unless you wank otherwise and bend the rules yes.
>>
>>53847710
I didn't take Evercleansed, but there's a few other perks that do the same thing.
For D&D worlds, there's always Prestidigitation.

>>53847811
That's the most logical way for it to work.
Otherwise it could be the same universe, only your Benefactor retconned your past actions out of existence.
>>
Was the EVE Online jump ever finished?
>>
>>53847859
Yes. It's in the Uploads folder.
>>
>>53847710
I'm an alchemist jumper, Anon. The stuff I create for bubble baths has been known to relax the elderly into a coma, and what plaque survives my teeth cleaning regimen could beat your dad in a fight.

So, just learn to make your own stuff and you should be good.

Anyone else have trouble remembering to check if 100 cp perks and items are free for the respective background/origin/race? Or remembering to check specifically for the Drop-In background, since some jumps only give 100 cp discounts to Drop-Ins?
>>

>Louisville Slugger

Which jump has the best Louisville Slugger?
>>
>>53848429
Probably MOTHER.
>>
>>53847710
If I'm still at the point in my chain that I can't just magic it off with something like prestidigitation, well, that's where having experience with practical skills comes in. Making your own soap is pretty easy. And 'plumbing' is the one Warehouse utility that I always buy, owing to how annoying it sounds to set that up, as opposed to electricity.

I actually dislike taking Evercleansed, because it sounds pretty annoying for situations like disguising myself or trying to 'fit in' in dirty environments. There are ways to mitigate the sanitation risks, and vanity doesn't really matter to me.
>>
>>53847996
If it's funny, yeah.

What type of benefactor would your jumper be?

It can easily destroy all but the most regenerative of Kaiju. There just the problem of its gaseous nature, causing it to potentially move in the wrong direction and there may be political consequences for having one of the greatest and most feared superweapons known to mankind.

>>
To that anon last thread bitching about pricing schemes with more perks than you can buy with your starting budget, I just want to tell you to fuck off and kill yourself, because you are actively ruining jumpchain for everyone by peddling your shitty advice to jumpmakers.

You don't have to be able to take everything from your own origin. There is no good reason to deliberately scale down prices or limit the options available in a jump for budgetary concerns because in the end, that's your problem. All you're doing is damaging jumpchain, you add nothing and help no one.

The jump is balanced in it's pricing, if you can't buy everything you want, then take drawbacks or cut back on what you're buying, don't fucking bitch and whine about how you should get everything for lower prices or have the options that cost more removed.

What are the best perks to get the strongest teeth?
>>
>>53849923
Highschool of the Dead has the Dental perk.
>>
>>53849853
It doesn't say that it requires it, so probably not.
>>
>>53849923
Badbadium Body in The God of High School. Technically an item and not a perk, but it functions like one, and it makes your whole body out of an insane durable bio-mimetic metal. Your teeth would be included in that. Given that it takes multiple planet-busting strikes just to break a Barbadium Body's skin, I'm sure your teeth would be pretty strong too.
>>
>>53849923
Exalted Infernals has a really good perk for that under the Metagaos perks.

>>53850562
There are plenty of charms in Exalt which could help. Charms with cure or give derangements can give or take mental disorders. Good judgement though, that is trickier.
>>
>>53850562
There's an apple in SMT that cures mental illnesses just by looking at it. As for decision-making, I guess just stack intelligence and willpower perks?
>>

>>

A lot of people say that bodymod can fix mental illness too, or at least get you to the point where you don't need medication to manage it.

If you don't need a one-time thing, try the Doctor origin in Franken Fran. Take the Brain specialty, or whatever it's called, and the perk that lets you perform surgery on yourself. It's brutal as fuck, but it should work.

>>

No, just incredibly strong reality warping powers that would appear omnipotent to most perspectives but do have some limits. Strangely arbitrary ones. Like, Celestialsapiens can't manipulate mana. They can, however, destroy the universe and recreate it in a new pattern where something functionally identical to mana but that they can manipulate exists in mana's place. Celestialsapiens are weird.

My Jumper just tried to gank Alduin right when he appeared in Skyrim. Gave him a good fight, but between trying to protect people in Helgen, moderately underestimating the power of Shouts (they're not just weird magic, they warp reality), and trying to upstage a prophecy (gotta be the Dragonborn that kills him), things didn't end well.

That's what the Medbay is for, I guess.

I had a shower and such set up in the Warehouse? Not exactly hard... Of course, nowadays I don't produce waste or get dirty anymore, so it's kind of a moot point.

>>53849086
A fairly standard one. Very vanilla, what with just wanting to relieve some boredom.

Though I'd probably push for vanity perks, to have something nice to look at. Beauty, cuteness, awesomeness... All of those.

>>53850172
Usually, I play dead.

People usually assume that standard fatal wounds, no heartbeat, and a cooling corpse means that I'm done for.

They don't really expect me to get up a while later, change my face, and carry on with whatever I was doing.

>>53850562
You could just use a Heal spell from D&D.

It cures pretty much everything, including insanity and such.

>>53851218
Hard to answer if you don't mention where you're getting the alchemy from.

Alchemy from for example Harry Potter, FMA, and Sburb are all VERY different, after all.

I take it you're talking about his trying to push acceptance of lewd jumps again. Yeah, well at least this argument is a little amusing and hasn't been repeated for the nth time.
>>
>>53851257
True, though it exists and what little we know points to it being very different from either of the other two.

>>53851258
Ah. Well, let's see... For the first question, I'd say it would be possible, though I assume it'd be very difficult to do so.

2nd question. Yeah, probably. At least souls, since FMA works with those a little.

>is the sburb alchemy any good?
It's really good, but works nothing like other 'alchemy'. Really weird, but quite nice.

It's basically using a bunch of machines/artifacts to duplicate items or combine them together in possibly very strange ways.
>>

Okay, here's the latest version of A Super Mario Thing. Following the advice from the previous thread, I've cut down the prices so that the capstones are now at 600 CP. I also made some changes to Castle Wrecker and Screen Play.

In addition, I took the advice to add an intro picture as well as an overall background. Please let me know what you think.
>>
>>53851367
Okay, I might be saying something stupid here, since I don't pretend to be a scientist, but there is a neat power, based on Firestorm from the Arrowverse in that jump. It allows for a lot of radiation control.
Also, the Sages Power from God of Highschool allows for control over the 4 fundamental forces, which should allow for radiation manipulation under the Strong Nuclear Force manipulation part.
Hope this helps.

Without going into too much detail... "yes", and "kindof".

Usually people just cause chemical reactions or shape existing materials, but being able to turn, say, lead into gold is totally a thing in canon (although it's outlawed to prevent destabilizing the economy). The main issue is that FMA alchemy works off PHYSICS!, which means you have to know exactly what you're doing. You'd have to know all the shit that goes into making the thing you want to make, down to the subatomics, and what you're making it from, and exactly what changes have to be made to make one from the other. So you better start cracking open textbooks and get working on a PhD in chemistry.

As for souls, they're used as fuel in canon for some crazy shit, because whereas most forms of alchemy require some kind of "balance" in energy exchange, souls in FMA are considered priceless, and therefore can pay for a whole lot of shit.
There's no real reason you couldn't use other things to pay for alchemy, but the exchange rate would probably differ, and in any case you need some way to actually use the energy in question -- souls in FMA are formed into a stone, you could probably use your own mana directly, but other than that you'll need to get creative.
Hypothetically you could even turn that around and turn a large enough amount of resources into a soul, but the exchange rate would probably be absolutely abysmal and you're better off finding other options in the chain.

>>53851367
Lots of ways. I mean, non-ionizing radiation is pretty common in modern technology. Radios, microwaves, radar dishes, infrared lights...we're full of non-ionizing radiation tech. If you want it to be produced from your body instead of a tool, there are many technology absorption powers. My go to is Biosynthesis in Symbiote, lets you build machines right into your body by shapeshifting them.

>>53851390
Those are both dealing with particulate radiation, non-ionizing is electromagnetic. Though the Wisdom of the Sage does include control over electromagnetism, so that would work.

What type of alchemy are you starting with? Because many types can already do atomic transmutation. As for the second, that's what alchemy is all about in a lot of settings, it's as much a spiritual practice as it is a chemical one. Transmuting the soul and mystical energy is what the "lead to gold" thing is a metaphor for.

>>
>>53851571
Oh gawd his face.

I cheated a litte. I went in Asari for some of the perks, but used an alt-form to be human, using a combination of items from previous jumps and bullshit/contacts to make my new identity plausible.

Outside of that I had some fun, killed some Reapers
Stole their collection of souls from the civilisations they harvested for the past billion or so years. Formed a moon-sized Philosopher Stone I then used to fix a lot of the devestated worlds and make more Garden worlds in the galaxy.
I may or may not have leaked what the Asari did with the beacon to the entire galaxy, and replaced the Shadow Broker before Liara. With my jumper-ness I was able to be much better at it than her, even when it wasn't my main role.

Got some model ships. You know, normal stuff.
>>
>>53851571
Shepard, Tali and Aria mainly.

More seriously, I pretended to be an ambassador from an alien race from the Andromeda galaxy. This was pretty believable, because I was using another jump's alien altform and flying a Death Star-knockoff.

Still somehow ended up on Shepard's crew.

Also sorta took the red choice, but with a fleet of spaceships superior to the reapers instead of a "fuck AI" wave.
>>
>>53851664
I don't think they have the souls of the civilizations they've harvested. Even assuming that souls exist at all in the Mass Effect universe, where would the Reapers keep them? Their gestalts are made of destructively-uploaded minds, would the connection between mind and soul survive being subsumed into the hivemind like that?

>>
>>53851746
They had a Prothean Beacon, fully translated and without the need for the Cipher that Shepard spent half the first game hunting for, and they didn't use the information in it. The plan was that they were supposed to rise to prominence as a galactic power, unite all the other species, and create a grand empire that could fight off the Reapers when next they appeared. Instead they pissed away the advantages of having a full Prothean tech base by slowly and carefully doling out technologies so it looked like they were naturally inventing them and just really smart, in order to preserve their prestige. They also didn't tell anyone about that minor little detail the beacon held about ancient cybernetic space-cuttlefish eating everyone's brains every fifty thousand years.
>>
>>53851571
I joined Shepherd's crew as a skeleton, going by the name of Mr. Bones. Everyone was pretty freaked out by me at first, but they got used to me eventually. I think the only ones to not react were the Geth, the Rachni, and the Reapers. I got up to some pretty spooky antics, but I also took the time to call a lot of people out on their bullshit. Pic related was my reaction to "Ah yes, 'Reapers'".
>>
>>53851697
Sympathetic magic, and a bit of fanwank on my part.
I noticed that the red lightning given off the Reapers resembled the red lightning formed by alchemy on FMA. So having made that connection it was easily to extrapolate further.
Before I knew it I had already convinced myself that the Reapers are homoculii-like constructs powered by a Philosopher's Stone.
It makes more sense when you consider that FMA alchemy is a type of science. Also, the similar experiences of people in FMA, tha little girls who's name escapes me, who felt people 'crawling under the ground' and people from Cerberus who experienced wierd things in the 'dead' Reaper. Of course, it could just be indoctrination mechanisms that still functioned even with the Reaper being dead, but still, the similairty was striking to me.
Also, as a fanwank/theory it would help address some of the inefficency of the Reaper's appraoch.
How can the preserve everything using their methods? So many people would die and whatever value the had would be lost with them.
So I came up with the idea, that the Reaper for each race, is basically not only powered by a Philosopher's Stone equivalent, but also uses it as a form of soultrap, using sypathetic principles to draw in the souls of the dead for that race, to be sealed and stored in the Reaper's core. To preserve them.

It was at a time when I liked to 'smear' previous setting mechanics into future ones. So the idea of something like Alchemy being developed in another setting was something I was already open to.
>>
>>53851821
>without the need for the Cipher
Are you sure about that?
I mean there was a VI in the beacon, but I though he needed to be triggered by the Cypher or a Prothean.

>>53851821
>They also didn't tell anyone about that minor little detail
I don't think they knew that either.

Not defending the Asari here, they really did screw the pooch, especially given their sheer hypocrisy in making keeping such technology away from the Citadel, the very thing they were doing, as a highly illegal act. But I don't think they had any more advanced warning about the Reapers than anyone.
They did however miss out on a lot of opportunity to benefit from the Beacon, only going so far themselves and not sharing it with other races to have all their resources working on it.

>>53851445
This basically. You need to know a bunch of shit in order to make use of alchemy. Alleviated by the fact that besides being able to freely fuck with the composition of matter, physics generally otherwise obey real rules, so alchemy will probably remain consistent across jumps. I was thinking about for my Minecraft jump, since I'm taking the gregtech drawback, making alchemy not work since Amestrian Alchemy is canonically fueled by plate tectonics, which Minecraft doesn't really have. I'm doing it so the difficulty doesn't break down in the first five minutes and I'm able to jump straight to pre-nuclear industrial tech and grossly simplify factory operations. Since I have Homunculus powers as well, I'd be able to use alchemy, but only at the cost of souls from my stone.

Souls are great, and they're priceless in a material sense. You're right in that you wouldn't be able to get a soul without spending an enormous amount of energy or resources. The problem I have with it is that while they're very valuable, they do have finite worth, which may vary between souls, if only because a soul can only do so much work before being exhausted
I'd imagine you'd be able to store a large amount of resources, materials or energy inside of a philosophers stone, though that's not really canon since they're made of souls (and only of souls), and then just use it like a battery.

So I don't know, thirty-seventy split on the odds of them knowing versus not knowing.

I lean towards them not knowing. As much as the Asari have acted disappointingly by keeping the beacon to themselves, the idea they knew the Reapers were coming and did nothing seems... unlikely.

Humans probably would've done better simply because there is no human civilization in history that would have the patience to dole out technology slowly, they would rather seize it all immediately and use it to conquer everyone on the planet, then go to conquer other planets. Humans are short lived and don't fuck around with conquering.

That said, Asari are a direct creation of the Protheans. Humans were, at best, a naturally evolved race that the Protheans were observing. They probably wouldn't trust us at all, and 50,000 years ago the way we'd function as a developed society would still be an unknown.

Alright, so. An idea that I was considering was updating the DxD redux a bit, mostly in terms of the price schemes for the Sacred Gears and Holy Swords (maybe a proper item section, if I can actually think of items relevant to it).

The jump is a huge CP vampire and the Longinus are in fairly high demand. That said, I don't think the item stipend being human-specific was 100% a good idea, or at least not the way it's presented because it kind of drops out interest in picking much of anything else.

If anyone had suggestions for ways to handle this, whether with discounts, a change to the pricing scheme, etc. I'm all ears. This has been bothering me for months, now.
>>
>>53853537
I like him, his opinions on stuff like that are a big reason of why I like him. Makes him feel more like his own character instead of some generic viewpoint and it gives him a great reason to conflict with a bunch of the LDO that he might normally have some sympathy for. I don't think Ren is meant to be super likeable or flawless and I reckon the game/Ren himself acknowledge this a bit when they talk about how him being the ultimate winner of the story and becoming the God would ultimately be just as bad for existence as if Reinhard won and spread his Rule.

It doesn't hurt that those beliefs let him give some fucking epic verbal smackdowns to a few characters.

>>53853589

Oh, right. As to his views on the dead I think they make a lot of sense and I agree with them- so long as the context is a setting where resurrection is extremely difficult-basically impossible, like with DI/the real world. In a place where it's commonplace or widely known to be possible and achievable and it actually happens, I think the viewpoint would have to change. Context is important here.

I'd suggest lightening up the drawback limit or not making one at all.

Or maybe give everyone a CP stipend but humans get the most cp. Maybe 100 or 200 CP for a booster gear for the other races but have humans keep their 300 CP stipend.

But this is how I would personally handle this.
>>
>>53853603
The problem I see is that with the amount of stuff you’ve put in, you’d think the jump was designed for a 2000 CP base.

Come to think of it, is the starting amount of CP for that jump 1000? The intro doesn’t say.
>>
>>53853699

The starting amount is the standard 1k, yes. I'm not sure I want to up the starting base amount if only because that has proven rather...controversial and that's not an arena I want to fight in unless all other solutions fail.
>>53853756
I could certainly uncap the drawbacks or give a more universal stipend. Not like the canon has any shortage of drawback material.

Maybe discounts somewhere?
>>
>>53853807
I definitely didn't get that impression, but it's very likely I missed something. I was talking more about what he thinks of trying to bring back the dead and how killing people or sacrificing stuff you don't care for to do it makes things worse/worthless.
>>
>>53853822
The problem is there's two sets of perks for you, and then you've gotta buy a useful Sacred Gear/Holy Sword. Maybe give humans a single item discount in the gear section, and expand the stipend to everyone? Also, there needs to be a reason to take non-human non-dragon races. Racial perks might work, but then you have even more perks to buy.
>>
>>53849853
So not sure if you're still on or not, but no, you don't.
>>
>>53853909
So like hundreds of other jumps then? Except those usually have entire item trees instead of just the Sacred Gear stuff.
>>
>>53853822
Discounts somewhere are also an excellent idea. However, I haven't read DxD but I'm pretty sure most people that show up in the story have one, right?

So I think just giving a more universal stipend is a better idea than just discounts, but that's just my take on it. Stipends are less controversial than increasing the starting CP.
>>
>>53853822
I didn’t say you needed to up the CP amount, I just don’t like how you have to nearly max out the drawback limit just to take your own origins perk trees.

I love puzzles! And glitches! Not... so much when they're combined together... but. Uh. Well, I'll figure something out.

I can't believe I'm actually a Toad?! This looks like a prime altform to do some genetic experiments on. Y'know, make it more visually interesting.

Anyway, I experimented a lot with World Hacking, turning levels into different levels, and stealing things, and... stuff. Also science. FUCK YEAH SCIENCE. Gonna study some... huge, glitchtastic things. Maybe build some puzzles. I don't know.
I don't know about any of this.

This jump seems to think things work just like 2D, but I don't, but that means things are worse and better.
Zombie glitches must look terrifying in 3D.

Library: I'm not quite sure how it works. It basically pops up in A2MT as a bonus part you can access at the Castle of Absolutely No Significance Whatsoever. I'd probably say that it is a warehouse attachment; that sound okay?

Also, is there anything big you'd like more explanation of? I tried to add in helpful appendixes, but I can add more if necessary.

> I'd probably say that it is a warehouse attachment; that sound okay?
That works. I was just wondering if, like, there was some building out in every world now that looks about the size of an office building but people can get lost inside wandering for days.
... I have a LOT of books.
But a Warehouse attachment makes it much simpler. I guess for buildings you might want to mention that? Like, if they're supposed to be attachments, or if they exist in the world, or even if you get to choose between the two. It's good to mention things like that so that people don't ask later.

> Also, is there anything big you'd like more explanation of?
Nah, I feel like you covered just about everything. The appendix was really helpful, thanks.
I had a moment where I was like, "What the fuck is a Furba?" But then it turned out that Furbas were in the appendix and I was like, "Oh. Those are cute. I like Furbas."

I was thinking of trying to rewire the Disco Tank into acting as a sortof low-end powerplant, due to the perpetual energy thing? But I imagine, being just one tank, it wouldn't power a whole lot. From the picture it looks like they just move forward and fire canonballs.
Maybe I could power, like, a small room or make a charging station or something. I dunno.
I guess that's not really a question, huh.

Kubera: One Last God
In a universe where Hindu Mythology is (mostly) real, Magicians call upon the power of the gods to protect their people from the Suras, powerful demons, the largest of which dwarfs galaxies. About 16 or so years ago, the Cataclysm occured, in which the greatest gods bound the the rest of the gods to the divine realm, the suras to the demon realm, and then disappeared. Around the same time, a girl was born with the name of a god, and thus, bears some of his power. Because of this, a bunch of people want her dead in order to steal that gods power.

Things go horribly wrong.
>>
>>53855038
Okay, I'll be clearer about the Library being a Warehouse attachment.

I'm happy to know that the appendix was helpful.

On another note, love your Konata pics! She's one of my favorite characters. You know, it'd be fun to see Konata's view of the games, since they are built with so many in-jokes by Western designers that it tends to confuse Japanese gamers.

In case you want a link. I'm enjoying it, but building the jump is being difficult. I think I've scrapped everything and started over, like, 4 times?
>>
>>53855175
Oh! You know what I remembered? With the Mothership item, for ABCDs, it says it's a replica of the one in the game, and the Location says it's big enough for many complex environments, but I guess since it's a buyable item it might be good to give a ballpark figure for it? Like... big as a whale? An island? I understand that the game doesn't really go into details like that and it's just a staging ground for levels, but it did make me curious.

Also, I'm glad! Konata's great. It would be fun to see that, although she'd probably be just as confused as anyone else. Maybe she'd like the platforming, though. Who knows what kind of games she prefers?

I probably should clarify in the notes, but the ship purchase is for the one from the prequels - it's more of a hub area with different bonus rooms you can unlock. I'd estimate the size of a decent city, tops. The A2MT mothership in contrast, by my estimation, is at least the size of a large continent or maybe the moon. You can't purchase the bigger ship, so you'll just have to try to hijack it if you want to take it with you.

The plan: so apparently the monster graveyard is not quite an afterlife , so much as somewhere they are Star Trek teleported to on defeat , but also a paradise for monsters and the only place monsters can all find peace?! Yeah , one body is going straight over there to set up a mental wellness center, one body is reopening the Dr. beetle Institute for the advancement of human advancement and one body is straight kicking ass all day every day that body being my eclipse phasen neotenic form wearing my luchador mask. I have sufficient strength and energy projection to be a threat here and considering the scale of my sacred treasure . I can easily use it on giant monsters, so yeah I'm just going to wrestle them and smack them around with the sawtooth Shield, elephant goad, and chain whip forms rather than growing big.

To clarify on the difference, I wanted to feature A2MT's setting in the location options, but I thought that the scale of that ship would be too OP compared to the other items. Where did this bit of fanon ever come from? Yes the Protheans were 50,000 years ago, but it's never said they only start Reaping every 50,000 years. You know, with all this talk of jump updates and revamps... SMTAnon, you could remove a certain perk from SMT, the one you so regret. Just look at KOTOR and SymbioteAnon. Yep.

I included that option because I needed a way to do it for my build that didn't rely on things that were allowed by my perks, but not the jumps they came from, and I was already working on the jump itself. So, you have nothing to worry about; it's staying.

>>53856444
The Bio-Injector, under gear? The thing that lets you just make anyone into a Symbiote? It's still there, don't you worry about that. It's a canon thing for the setting, and really damn useful for jumpers.

I moved it to the Companions section and allowed it to be used to nominate someone as a new Companion once their Symbiote's reached Synergy, if they're willing.

There are mods intended for use in the Starbound Jump. The ones I have so far are: Trading Cards, Ore Seeds, Pixel Goods Store, The Tabula Rasa, Universal Uncrafter, SkArmor, SBG Race Mod, The Stars My Destination, Rise of the Hylotl, StarMount, Peculiar Planets, The Black Market, Build your own Ship, and Increased Drop Rates. I need to do research on everything from SkArmor on, but I could easily see Frackin' Universe as a +0 Drawback option, because it adds a lot of stuff that's fucking terrifying from a difficulty standpoint, but it also adds a lot that makes things easier.

There was also mention of adding the mech mod, but since they added/are adding custom mechs in the 1.3 update, I don't see much point in it anymore.
>>
>>53856357

I don’t understand how a place you love so much can turn so horribly. When I found myself on earth of this universe and figured out where I was I was so extatic I could barely contain myself. I headed right for Okayama.

I sought out the Tenchi and co. After a short battle (we’ll call it a draw) I was able to get across I had no ill will towards them… that almost made it worse because Ayeka and Ryoko got super jealous of me… well until they figured out my relationship with my wives. Then they were pretty much fine with me. Mihoshi tried to arrest me a few times but I talked her out of it.

After a few years though I decided for some reason it was time to go and explore the rest of the universe. Maybe I felt that the day to day antics of my household wouldn’t be enough to be interesting to Jump-chan

We traveled we had adventures then we heard someone was chasing me. A Dr. Moreau.

Well Maybe I was a bit arrogant but I decided to face them head on, better to deal with a threat than run from it…

(to be continued)
>>
>>53857132
It turned out we walked right in to a trap as Dr. Moreau knew us better than we knew Him. He used something that messed with Arcueid driving her in to a berserk rage and effectively putting her under his control. We fought her and I tried everything I could to free her but in the end I had to “kill” her with my own hands. Even though it was just her physical body it was traumatic and took the fight out of me and the rest of my wives. We were captured.

I was experimented on lost both of my extra lives before I managed to pull off an escape. Arcueid forgave me telling me it wasn’t my fault but It was a very long time before I could look her in the eye again.

Sadly I was never able to get revenge on the man who was chasing us… he was too good and kept us off balance hunting us relentlessly.

so...Mew is a mythic pokemon, but not a legendary. Is it legal as a starter?
>>
>>53857701
The game considers it as a legendary, because outside of events, you can't catch it.

If you really want one, though, the pokémon jump takes account of all of the core media properties, including the Pokémon Adventures manga. Faraway Island, the place that the third gen mew event sends you to catch it, exists there, and, depending on when you choose to start, it's entirely likely that the pieces are already in place to get there.
>>
>>53857701
Yes. If a jumpmaker wants to arbitrarily limit us, then they should at least have the basic competency needed to a cover what they wish to prevent. Quicksilver, (un)fortunately, didn't.

Oh, you mean the place where the bad guys actually pose a real threat and cause large amounts of destruction, Pokemons get killed and the Legendaries are all a real bunch of assholes that don't miss any chance to wreak some havoc?

Seriously, stick to the games, or if you really have to, with the anime. The manga really makes Pokemon a not safe at all starting place.

Pokémon Adventures doesn't involve pokémon getting killed. I've read all the way up to the DPPt arc. I'm pretty sure the picture you posted, if it is from Adventures, is a Substitute.

>stick to the games
If you're going by the whole, "only what the jumpmaker specifically allows for, it specifically enforces the thought of it being all of the different media sources rolled together.

But even at that, your mention of the bad guys being a real threat just smacks of, "wahhh, this isn't supposed to be challenging to me, I'm a special snowflake!" Life is hard, and adding superpowered monsters to it doesn't make it any easier.

Age: 27
Gender: Female
Background: Drop In
Starting Location: Wal-Mart Region

*Cute (200)
*Sailor Soldier (400)
Items:
*Jumperville (0)
*Class Ring – Steel, Dark, Ghost, Fairy, Dragon (300, Discount)

*Being In Sonichu (+ All the points)

Maybe it says something that I am actually happy to be in this shit hole. This town makes no sense but after my last jump… I can tolerate the senseless.

I was assistant mayor until Chris found out I like girls and about my wives so I am heading to Ravenville. He has sworn he will cure me and save my soul…

A few of my companions want to go exterminates on this world. They keep reminding me I have the light of terra armed with a torpedo that is made for that but it’s not right to kill people just because they are stupid and annoying. It’s not right to kill a world for such reasons either.

>Plasma is dicks to gym leaders that resist them.
>Ruby's dad is a bastard to his son, because he wanted him to be strong enough to try and take on rayquaza.
>People dying in a world of super-powered super beasts? Shocking.
>That girl is the last in a line of dragon worshipers, and rayquaza is freaking out over the fact that there is a fucking planet-killer of a meteor on its way.
>Undead pokémon being brought back to life by an unruly spirit.
>That arbok literally comes back later, after regrowing its entire body. The exact explanation is that, as long as its head is intact, it can regenerate its body.
>Black Fog is an ancient pokémon that was worshiped as a god and ate souls. It blew itself up instead of taking orders from a human, because, y'know, it thinks it's a god.
>That onix is literally fine later.
>Team rocket is dicks to pokémon, and the bird trio gets better.
>Giovanni is an asshole to everyone.
>That spoon is a psychic emanation, and deoxys is fine later.
>Giovanni is an asshole to everyone.

Aside from that last one, which is the only thing I couldn't remember, nothing dies permanently in the manga. Hell, Red gets frozen solid at one point, literally encased in ice, which is pretty damn lethal as things go, and he gets better, though he does have some sporadic paralysis issues for a while.

No. The first image in that set has a bunch of gym leaders all but crucified. Also, in the XY games, and thus the XY chapters, the leader of Team Flare wants to turn on a machine that, the last time it was used, ended a war... by turning both armies into stone statues, effectively killing them. Him and his lieutenant are both shown dead in that list.

Also, during the Emerald chapter, a guy named Guile Hideout shows up. This guy is actually Archie inside a suit of armor that is keeping him alive. He is in it after killing Maxie, either by straight-up murdering him, or by leaving him inside a time bubble created by celebi that would've killed him if he left it.

>>53858550
I never once said it was safe. It's very much not. Hell, "People dying in a world of super-powered super beasts? Shocking," should have been enough of a tip-off that I don't think it's safe. (Weee I know nothing here so this should be interesting)

So another Gundam world except this time vs Aliens. I joined up with the Earth Federation to help defend the earth. I really didn’t want to fight anymore I am tired of war and fighting and even a little tired of fighting in giant robots. However I realized if I didn’t fight people would die.

I managed to talk them allow me to design some gundums from the battle front, passing them off back to headquarters… or so I thought turns out our captain stole the ship and was wanted by the federation so they weren’t getting them…

We also found out that the people we were fighting against were humans from a lost coloney on mars…

Somehow it’s disheartening that we have just been killing more humans.

After we destroyed their base I started to work on developing influence and trying to work towards peace. I was tired. I started to use subtle magic and mental influence to get the Vegans to agree with me. I realize this makes me a terrible person but with as much blood as I have on my hands… I guess I was already.

We managed to forge a peache treaty… It probably won’t last I am trying to engineer both societies to be more peaceful and forgiving. It’s like trying to roll a bolder up a hell.

Some of my companions have found out. Van Hellsing isn’t speaking with me anymore. It hurts my first companion has turned his back on me, Jensen seems disgusted but worried. I tried to do the right thing… didn’t I?
>>
>>53858618
Oh, and, since someone mentioned the manga making one of the elite four a terrorist, that would be Lance. He wanted to wake up Lugia so he could use it to kill any humans that weren't strong enough trainers to, "deserve," pokémon. The other members of the elite four were in agreement with his plan, right up until it got put down by a little blond girl who didn't even have a team of fully-evolved pokémon, and had only caught three of them herself; the others were Red's pikachu, who was following her of its own volition, and loaners from Brock and Misty, who both respected Red enough that the sight of his pikachu was enough to get them on Yellow's side.

Under the guise of the mask of ice, wants to put together a force of super trainers to catch raikou, entei, and suicune, so he can get them to track down ho-oh and lugia, and use their feathers to summon celebi and go back in time to save two of his pokémon from dying in an avalanche.

I hate to say it, but evolutionary speaking, the same stuff the pokémon are made of.

On a more serious note, in the Adventures manga, Yellow, the little girl who BTFO'd Lance, is a born empath. She can heal pokémon by touching them - it's implied that this is where the tech behind the pokémon centers are based off of - and can cause her pokémon's levels to rise if she gets angry enough.

Canonically, Giovanni is one as well, but this is rare enough that they're the only two shown in the entire manga.

Even the people there have crazy superpowers.

Dumb question that will probably result in That Guy / Those Guys giving me the usual shit, BUT:

Warden's spells, particularly the one that allows them to manifest an Avatar of Vengeance & Spirits of Vengeance, are labeled as Warlock spells, meaning a tie to demonic and shadowy forces. Now, far as I can read, the only real fel-Warden at this point is Cordana. My question for the Warden perk is: Would you guys want this as an excuse to get it discounted to Warlocks, or would you want me to stick with Wardens themes and stop being a dumbass?

Partially the reason I ask is holy shit there are literally an ass-ton of Shamanic / Druidic-related prestiege and sub-classes. Like, holy shit.

Bruh.

Even gossip rags update their intel once in a while. You need to do your fucking research.
>>
>>53859583
It's from Generic Hentai Fantasy.
>>
>>53859652
That would explain why I was having trouble finding it...
>>
>>53859637
That would require effort on his part.
>>
>>53859637
OAA/miib/WoWAnon whatever was, at the very least, in the IRC September of last year, which is when he made a scene and apparently pretended to leave.
>>
>>53859664
Whatever you say, ese. Which one are you this time?

Is it Allen again, being a shithead as always?

>Personal Squad
>five thousand soldiers
>every perk given to them is shared at full strength equally
...what.

Just what?

Seriously, Stellar, how the fuck do you think that's alright to put in?
>>
>>53859664
Because we should trust a den of literal vipers on whatever they say.

No really. Go in there on a good day and they're spitting venom on whoever makes a decent target. Your info's long flawed, anon.
>>
Uh, not sure if anyone really cares, but I've just noticed there's a new version of Lost Odessey, on the drive now, put there really recently.
>>
>>53858981

Just put the soldiers as followers and remove their shared perk thing
>>
>>53859652
Do you have a link for this?
>>
>>53858981
Leave the soldiers as is. Inter-jump balance is not a good way to balance things.
>>
>>53859707
About fucking time we had this.

Brows set a shitty precedent.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BQUZ7vezFOjPsupUikzw_1CjYUzkXeDX8Ytk3mFGBJI/edit#

It's still just a wip tho.
>>
>>53859707
You saw the kind of bullshit in Generic Isekai yesterday. Why are you even surprised at this point?
>>
>>53859540
This jump seems more like an Azeroth-at-the-time-the-game-World-of-Warcraft-takes-place Jump. Which I like because the only Jumps that get multiples happening at once seem to be those with wildly different splats that aren't really supposed to work together. So, barring WoW - The Hoard and WoW - The Alliance, which would mostly be separated by race options anyway since everyone gets access to the same classes, this seems like a clean way to do things.
>>
>>53859842
Except your "clean way" is creating a shit-tier jump with too much bloat.

How do you not know this having made jumps prior?
>>
Is there someplace I can find a WIP of the new WoW jump?
>>
>>53859870
Nobody cares, nobody wants it. Stop asking for it.
>>
>>53859495
Yeah, sod it. Going with Priest. Thanks for the link, at any rate, anon.
>>
Is Blood Magic from Darkstalkers based on anyone in particular?
>>
>>53859918
Jedah, main antagonist of the second game if I remember correctly.
>>
So for the Lovecraft jump, if I take the Xenobiology perk and the Crawling With Love drawback, does that mean I can make my own cute monsters? Because I feel like I need that.
>>
>>53859857
How have you not been banned yet?
>>
>>53859876
But I want it.

There's a pdf of the WIP, though I think it's pretty outdated... But here you go anyway.

>>53859888
Cool, alright then.

...Speaking of Warlocks and prestige/sub-classes. Are there any others discounted to Warlocks?
>>
>>53858873
but we have no janny to kiss here ;^^^^^^^)
>>
>>53859379
Just look around you, mate. Do you really want to gift these anonymous a-holes with something you've spent so much time and effort on? Just so they can take their shonen powerlevels and shit all over the setting? What's the point?
>>
>>53856200
Heck yes Dino Crisis.

>>53859941
You're still making monsters that make fishmen babies and eat faces. They just look cute.
Also your drawbacks end at the end of your stay, so if you made a lot of cute monsters, they'd stop being cute once that drawback went away...
>>
>>53859984
Ah, shit-kun, your rage boner gives me strength. I shall return to work on the jump I shall gift the thread with next weekend with all the more vigour. Thank you.
>>
>>53858981
Would I be correct in assuming that the Battleship is an "End Game" ship? Can we import an existing ship to upgrade it with Stellaris tech?

Other point aside, this is hardly a deterrent.

That's what I've been trying to find / put together. So far I've slotted them in as one of the Potion Doc discounters, and Hexer's looking like a good spot for them as well.

Speaking of, holy shit Potion Docs are awesome.

GESTAPO.

>>

What's the Potion Doc do?
>>
>>53860437
Spellcasting alchemist who decides to focus on the chemical / brewing aspect just a liiiiiiittle zealously. Can, at the cost of only being able to use them for brewing potions, create potion formulae out of their spells. Also can, after ingesting enough potions at a mad enough rate, eventually warp their biology into something of an alchemical factory, where even their bodily fluids hold latent potions awaiting a chemical activation.

The perk version's going to frontload the Potion Blood biology bit, with the note that continued ingestion of a specific kind of people will add it to your 'latent potions'. And the potion focus thing if 'can't-cast-spells-outside-of-potionmaking' will only apply to in-setting spells, and no longer apply post-jump.

...

You know, my brain read it as potions, my hands typed it as potions, and I double-checked it and I swear to GOD it said Potions.

>100 CP Backgrounds for all but Drop Ins
>Droid Bonus history has you as an actual droid; no option for Vader style living person with a machine body.
>Droid and Force Sensitive still prohibited even though Darth freaking Vader is in the trilogy as an example.
>Boba Fett's Arm blaster thing not actually discounted for Bounty Hunters.
>Cargo holds still don't have the bay door or elevator they would need as real life ship and not a movie prop
>Still trying to charge for Intercoms on ANY ship in a high tech space opera.
I mean, why?
>>
>>53859722
Great. Can someone kick it from the drive? Not in thread, not on drive.
>>
>>53857701
The western fanbase has never distinguished between mythicals and legendary and the only difference is an arbitrary one. You can't get it.
>>
>>53856283
That's all going to be in the second jump, covering the latter half of the series.
>>
>>53857954
Pokemon can only be your first jump. Shove that 'challenge' shit up your ass, only a moron is going to try and be a hardcore badass OG or whatever the fuck on their first jump.
>>
>>53860702
Looks like it's just one tiny typo being corrected, as if it's already been accepted, then there shouldn't be a problem.

>>53860729
Looking forward to it.
