Maybe? How would it hook them if it couldn't penetrate their skin? I guess they could get tangled in it, but daemons aren't really bothered by pain or blood loss (not even sure if they have nerves or blood, for that matter) so I don't think getting a bit ripped up would bother them that much.

>>53832332

>yet for some reason is unhappy
Probably because he's putting his life on the line, seeking approval from a father who has for all intents and purposes disowned him. He attempts to refuse, but is faced with the realisation that if he didn't the world is doomed. His only companions in this are: a foster mother who is also complicit in his father's organisation, a emotionless girl who is seems to only be happy while getting the approval Shinji craves and a girl who constantly berates him (mostly because Shinzo reminds her of herself).
That'd fuck anyone up, I'd say.

>>53832423
>As far as the "second depth" its supposed to be a reinterpretation of the christian mythos, except it was done by someone who most likely has never even read the bible
Anno has straight-up stated that he only only used Christian themes and imagery because it looks cool, the series is more about mental illness and Freudian/Jungian/Foucaultian concepts.

>>53832332
>a 13 year old boy who gets to pilot a gigantic robot that fights gigantic space monsters

HAS TO, Anon. He barely got a choice.
Shinji was already a sadsack from his mother being dead and his father neglecting him. Then he is conscripted to be a child soldier against monsters that are trying to rip him apart and end humanity. Add to that the other two pilots and closest ones who can empathize with his situation are either emotionally dead or vocally hate him because he performs better than her, and he cannot even get a support system afterwards.
Granted I am assuming a couple of things about your skillset, but that would be like giving you a rifle, shoving you and a small squad as the only ones on the front lines of a war against an actual military, and telling you "If you fail your entire country gets wiped out instantly, GOOD LUCK!"
>>53832504
I'm actually just curious how you managed to exist in a way where you browse 4chan, but are still somehow in a position where evangelion is obscure to you. Even my friends who know nothing about anime have a basic understanding of evangelion because it is literally one of the most widely known and influential anime of all time.

>>53832423
I'm pretty sure Freud is spelled the same in every language anon.
>>53833167
That's only your interpretation, coupled with Anno's choice of words/imagery. If you remove this, it becomes no more a Bible reinterpretation than any other story already is. Does Rei's strong imagery with the moon also reminds you of Jesus? Or her complete lack of emotion and compassion, is that very christ-like?
What about Lilith then, isn't she crucified? And Gendou gets to make his flesh par of him in order to gain eternal life, isn't that also very reminiscent of Jesus?
>>53833316
>If you remove this, it becomes no more a Bible reinterpretation than any other story already is

electric brain is computer (电脑). That's all I can tell from this sentence
>>53833572
True, but this fact could have been carried in any number of other ways. The choice of the cross shape is no more than cosmetic.
So yes, there are parallels with the Bible outside of imagery. But no more than a lot of other story have, willingly or not. You could very well cross a lot of parallels between Evangelion and a lot of religions or legends. That does not automatically means that those parallels are relevant, and the Bible is no exception.

Not much experience with those though I think I could enjoy such if it won't be too hard. Either way, never tried such, got some Ju-C Puti thing since it had okay opinions, high durability and low price - and frankly, it wasn't at all as good as actual girl.
I'm open for suggestions, especially if they have good price-to-how long they last ratio, but I suspect that even the best onahole won't be comparable to sex for me because a big part of the enjoyment is having a cute girl be there, being turned on by you and actively participating to make you both feel good, having all the pleasant bits to caress, grab etc

This is why ESLs shouldn't be allowed to post on 4chan.
>>53836544
Is it worth a watch anon? It sounds like it is.
>>53836544
You make a mistake of assuming that anon couldn't understand the lore due to english being his second language.
You somehow attribute different taste to language.
You think that 4chan wouldn't die if only native English speakers could post here or are willing to let it die just so you can have your way (and it wouldn't work because there are also native speakers claiming it's rather shit).
Lastly, word of god during one of the interviews many years ago kinda agreed with some of the criticism, making all those "muh depth, muh metaphore" fanboys feel pretty retarded, as creator himself admitted that a lot of it was really his way of working out his own depression and mental/emotional shit he felt during that time. That's why fans nowadays also suspect that NGE reboots are not just an attempt to make things right but to do the series properly, even when they are bound to follow at least somewhat the mood of original.

Nope. They are directly comparing stock price over time. Look at the bottom picture, it has a control line for comparison.

it's a coin toss honestly, for some people they're semen demons and for some people they're dick stranglers
VA:A has good durability but mainly relies on being hella tight; lolinco has a great design but magic eyes has shitty QC and it will likely develop tears after a few uses
for a beginner hole i'd say just to leave the dick bullies for later and go for a venus real or something but it might not do much for you
>a big part of the enjoyment is having a cute girl be there, being turned on by you and actively participating to make you both feel good, having all the pleasant bits to caress, grab etc
yeah, girls are nice and soft and all but just being cute doesn't do it for me unless it's some real kinky shit or Igenuinely have emotions for someone

does finland have some kind of 8.5 month mandatory service time? this joke goes a bit over my head
>>53836761
The number of days of training a conscript receives depends on their position. It depends on what level of training you receive: 165 days (crew), 255 days (specialist) or 347 days (NCO). The civil service is also 347 days, although significantly easier.
>>53836703
Yeah, I heard about those and some Witch thingy as standard, made me even regret I went for something else after the fact.
So, VA:Admission, Lolinco, Venus Real are the top suggestions you'd give?
>>53836860
>training
>conscript
Does that work like that?
>>53836889
Yes. Conscript not as in press-ganging but as in mandatory service. E.g. in Israel if you're a non-Muslim citizen, you have to join the army for a while, but you can get deferments for any of a number of reasons.
>>53836889
Yeah, some countries still have compulsory basic military training for all non-disabled males reaching certain age.
>>53836889
You can't get 90% of the male populace to do military service voluntarily, so you have to conscript them. If you intend for them to have a useful wartime role you then need to train them. If you intend to defend yourself from a nation with over 26 times your population and 6 times the economy you sort of need everyone.
>>53836863
the former two if you want your dick strangled
the latter is just the usual entry-level suggestion

The point of filename threads are not to just post an outlandish picture that has a filename that happens to describe exactly what it is.
They are to post a picture of any sort with a filename that ties it to Traditional Gaming or 4chan as a whole. The joke is in how the filename relates to the image, so the image need not be funny on its own.

It isn't. It's amazing if you're a depressed teenager and you fanboy over it for a few years, but rewatching it as an adult without the rose glasses makes you realize just how bad it is. The symbolism you thought was deep was really just some philosophy 101 mixed with stock christian imagery and the protagonist you felt sympathy for is really just a projection.
All in all, it may have influenced much of anime, but it has no lasting meaning. I'd watch the abridged. It captures the protagonist's bitching, covers the plot, and is just as empty as the original (though it glosses over the depression, so if you want to watch that, go for it).

>shouldn't it be obvious that the armor is purely decorative?
based on the style of clothing the setting has a napoleonic wars level of technology, in which case the armour is far from decorative. A good curiassier breastplate could stop a bullet from a distance. More importantly, firearms were still slow and inaccurate enough that melee was still the main form of attack for cavalry. She looks like she's dressed as a junior cavalry officer.
