Valhalla IS Hell. It fits the description almost perfectly, you're locked in an eternal smokey hall full of serial killers, pirates, rapists and murderers whose one qualification for entry was killing dudes before dying. Every day you fight and get your limbs hacked off, but don't die. By the next day you are cleansed and ready to do it all over again.

I'd literally rather go to the biblical hell than Valhalla, because the actual biblical "lake of fire" is just destruction of the soul. That sounds great in comparison to being locked in a room with a bunch of bandits for eternity.

While the Honored and Valiant are in joyous celebration while testing their mettle against the greatest and noblest warriors to ever live up in Heavalhalla, Helhalla is... less pleasant.

A uncomfortable dimension of armored, vindictive jailers who seek nothing less than to punish those who broke oaths and fought dishonorably in life. Scouring rain pours from above onto hostile stone, an endless and mindless melee of desperate damned scrambling to kill each other to try and stand a chance over their overpowered overseers before they can do the same. The Dead rise again and again, wounds still burning with echoes of pain and throats still parched. Just grinding down the souls of those who preyed upon the weak until they fall and are forced once more to their feet.

Where Heavalhalla is the home to the vaunted legions that stand united against the inevitable, those within Helhalla are to become cannon fodder. Thrown in front of the coming tide to buy the rest of creation a few minutes to ready themselves.
