Well.. I am sad, proud, and worried to announce the new Forest platforms have a slight... cannibalistic tendency. Field trials were going well, until the combat trials. One unit decided to forgo the long range engagement we had planned and just began taking bites out of its sibling. Control was quickly reestablished. However, needless to say it was a complete success for your desires.

I believe I am safe in assuming most military formations aren't prepared for a battleship sized vessel hellbent on eating their capital ships to establish dominance.

Outside of that, we've gotten a few other devices reverse engineered and integrated. We've been able to standardize a smaller scale fusion reactor core from minerals extracted from Ruby Fruit, and have finally been able to install personal energy shielding to our ground assault units. Fairly weak compared to even a corvette's shielding, but the simple fact they have them is a step in the right direction for us.

Yes, I believe it is an issue with material reclamation protocols. They are not about to wait for a piece to break off the enemy ship, they will directly attack with intent to recycle. We've taken the two in study to figure out where that came from. Think I put too many fabrication facilities in them, they are "hungry" as the test Roots like to say.

I don't consider it too much of a problem. We just need to ensure their combat systems are always under direct control. It takes five dedicated Roots to operate the beasts, so I don't expect too much issue with control failure.
