In My opinion, I think they've been buffed, and I'm tickled pink at the prospect that it might be time to bring my Waifu [Jain Zar] out of her box.

But at the same time, I'm a Fluffy and rather Crunch averse player (though I've gotten better). And would like a Second opinion, and a third/fourth/fifth etc.

As a reference for my terrible Ability to truly crunch, I used to give my Shining Spear exarchs Power Swords because I though they looked cool. Until my friend made me Convert to Star lances.

Pretty balanced. They're all alright to decent, although theres no auto-take option. Jain Zar's gimped a bit due to how characters fight now, as they can dodge her and force her to take some schmucks chainsword instead by piling in further away. Asurmen's kinda meh unless running in a massive dire avenger horde for that 4++. Baharroth and Fuegan are both good, Karandras is good but should get some way to infiltrate like Deathleaper since 9" is the same as everything else. Dunno how to feel about Maugan Ra, he's alright at shooting but a beast in combat too. The Avatar's less tough than i wouldve expected, but will destroy just about anything barring Bobby G/Swarmlord. Drazhar's not that great but he's fairly cheap. For a general-purpose, mobile and reasonably killy hq unit, i'd take Baharroth.

desu i feel those three are the weakest phoenix lords atm, but maybe their actual utility will be realised in games rather than statistics.

I know I used to have glorious fun dumping Asurmen and three stacked up Dire Avenger squads out to party it up while my Shining Spears swooped around the flanks.

Hopefully I can relive it in this newest edition.
