Post ideas for post apoc/far future games. Anything goes, goons, hostiles, artifacts, dungeons, plots, whatever can be used in such a setting!

Ever read the 2012 Prophet series?

Here's a Gamma World scenario I banged together for somebody on /tg/ a long time ago.

>you wander into a red dwarf system with a quaint little orbital and a few big notable rocks
>they've been working on these pretty little simulated reality landscapes and AI portraits
>its all very pretty and sleepy, nothing like the big city at all
Do we have the pdf of the future setting in which humans make first contact with a horrific race of aliens?

This?

This is good shit.

>some long term spacers, people with enough lightspeed lag to be really displaced in time, feel uncomfortable in the hab blocks without stuff like railings of safety protocol
>most people are comfortable enough with the assurance of a fresh body draw from their surplus matter allowance out of the nearest fabricator and a seamless experiential changeover integrated in their AR
>they pay the multi-kilometer drop little mind, and even make light of it to new arrivals in the hab station

Okay. crazy idea:
I like this idea, but imagine if the day night cycle was just another star orbiting from far away, outside of the disc, so you have a day night cycle,
and instead, as a macguffin, the sun is within a giant complex, acting as the sole powersource for everything in the disc that isnt battery powered via radio transmitters. The sphere surrounding the sun contours as it gets closer, eventually to the point where the world seems to curve around you, and the whole disc is actually shaped more like a very thin top, with two twin citadels at the center.
enter apocalypse scenario.
enter elimination of all history.
enter left over people.
enter crazy BBEG AI trying to defend its power source with all of its might, defending what it perceives to be the sole threat to the sun: humans.
the robot cant produce mechaniations by itself, but it has control over most remnants, so i guess thats my justification for the thing not just nuking everyone.

Thanks!
Here's a random event thingy from the 3rd edition Gamma World screen.

Gamma World specific but some neat characters that might find use elsewhere.

What decently-far future post-apocalyptic games are there, anyway? Other than Gamma World, I mean. Because that's where the cool stuff is. Near-future apocalypse frankly bores me. I want laser guns and shit.

Oh right.

How about so post apocalyptic that several have already happened.
-demons flooding the old world causing mass migration to the new world and to space
-in their desperation to not get eaten these nations do not hesitate to let loose their nuclear arsenals on the new worlders, each other, and the demons. Same for America. Conflict only really ends with the collapse of all major world powers due in part to the Yellowstone supervolcano erupting and that massive west coast tsunami happening one right after the other.
-no less than three times androids tried to genocide the human race
-a massive fuck-off ice age started when shit hit the fan centuries ago at this point
-reptilians from the earth's tunnels join the various monsters and demons in their human buffet
-the people that remain are all huddled in fiercely independent and often warring city states where humans and androids have decided they are better off banging than trying to kill each other. They also clone meat and raise genetically engineered giant rats with special fur that can be shorn and used as plastic.
-while this is going on the space humans have turned the solar system into one giant structure, every planet has considerable levels of human life, but they can't return to earth because every time they do flying things eat them before they can land, even in heavily armored siege torpedos. So they made many colonies and just sort of let them wander off.

Ever read Dark is the Sun? It's a post, post, post, post.... post collapse setting around the time of the big crunch, when the sun has burned out, but the sky is bright with the proximity of countless other stars. It's a very colorful world.

Thanks anon, that does sound like it'd be a fun read.

Favorite one of those is Phantesy Star IV
Post apoc medieval is cool. Exploring a world of Bio-engineered horrors and rampant AI machines from the old world where middle ages style societies of warriors with APC's and lasers scavenge tech, explore rogue satellites in rickety space ships or plumb ancient war bunkers to further advance themselves.

A setting where everyone is dead and all that's left are a bunch of Skynets waging eternal war with each other using crumbling resources? OK.
