Except Berzerkers are stronger than DC in the fluff so they should be the costly elite guys. My Necrons have gone from fucking around enjoying themselves to moving out to rebuild shattered warp pylons. They're approaching this with all the eagerness of a 7 year old told to go clean his room.

My Space Marines are glad for the new Primaris, and the new guidance. They stand ready as always, prepared to slap Chaos' shit.

My Skitarii are Agripinaa themed. Guess how they've been doing.

My Sisters are the Order of St. Katherine, and so blessed to fight beside Celestine more often than not. It's been hard and harrowing, but they've stood on and fought on, as they always do. Not a fan of Guilliman showing up, though. They respect his tactical acumen, but they think his views on how an Imperium should run are about 10k years out of date.

My Grey Knights? They're the 6th Brotherhood. They've been smug about this shit approximately since it happened.

My Deathwatch is looking at Octarius and starting to think of it as less a duty and more a weapon. There's a lot of shit currently out there...Aiming the Nids and Orks at it would solve a lot of problems. Including freeing them up to deal with other shit.

My Legion finally got it's grubby mitts on a new spells that might reverse the Rubric. It, like the other Rubric, worked like a Monkey's paw.

The Rubrics did get a portion of their life back, enabling them to run, overwatch and even made their guns better, but the ritual took so much power, the Legion's psykers just up and fucking forgot a bunch of powers and learned a great degree of politeness, refusing to cast a spell someone else cast and employ a 1 turn refractory period before they consider that spell not off-limits.

I'm amazed at how ass blasted the Chaos fags are. I'm even more amazed they didn't know it was coming. In AoS they intentionally made Choas worse than order in the begining so that order would win the narrative events. They're doing the same thing here. It's no supprise. Of course they don't want Chaos winning the indomitus crusade events, so they made the game so that they wouldn't. Give it a bit and they'll come out with some new models, maybe a deamon primarch, and a new book to go with them when you all get an event, and then things will be skewed in your favor.

Is there much actual justification for that?

Far as I can tell, on average most of them are about as tough as they used to be. Rhinos got a decent buff, dreads are about the same, battlewagons and russ got slightly more fragile.

They can fight in close combat now, which is nice, but many of them used to be able to tank shock which was OK and even the ones which could always fight are more expensive.

Heavy weapon costs have gone up slightly, but nowhere near what vehicles have. Marine with lascannon was 34 points, now 38, only a 10% increase. Heavy weapons are also more convenient to use, with split fire and only -1 for moving.

Melta got nerfed a little, but not a huge amount.

You generally can't be 1-shotted anymore, but your chances of bouncing everything have mostly gone down significantly. Overall, anti-tank weapons are now more consistent, which seems to benefit the attacker more than the target.

Were vehicles really breaking the game so much that they needed to double in cost?
