If you go to the 16th or 17th century Japan, you can mix a pirate, samurai, handheld rocket launcher, european plate armor and an armored dog sidekick into a single character. And he'll be a realistic ninja beneath all that.

They're really not that hard bud. It's just that anglosphere westerners seem to take their inability to read and sound out non-English words as a matter of pride. The only thing I could see being justified is being unable to pronounce the "lj" because that's not really a sound that shows up in that many other languages.

The age of conquests desu. Swords, plate armor, any kind of polearms, guns than aren't OP, lots of cultures than never even knew of each others clashing... You could go from a pig herder to topling one empire than sprawled half a continent.
