While the sexual subtext is there, I think part of what the author is trying to get across in these new panels is that stereotypical Loroi cultural and personality traits can be positives. The only Loroi we've seen so far who didn't put a screen of professionalism between herself and Alex has been the commander(or admiral, or whatever she is). The first thing she said to him was an insult and she did nothing but escalate from there. She probably would have explained her detailed plans to find out where his homeworld is and blow it up if she hadn't been interrupted. The diplomat character then explains how Loroi who aren't specifically trained for diplomacy are pathologically direct and tactless.

In the new panels, we see another character who has not been trained for diplomacy, but her directness, lack of tact, and willingness to immediately engage this stranger in his species' social interactions on his own terms with little hesitation, shows the positive side of the stereotypical Loroi personality profile.

I've been looking at the game to see how hard it'd be to add a few important features myself, namely:

1. End game crisis, maybe the Death's Hand human pirates become a real threat, the pirate homebase is found and suddenly pirate fleets come streaming out. Or maybe Earth is found and whatever destroyed/made it lost is released onto the galaxy. Or maybe Antares extra-dimensional aliens attack like in MoO2.
2. In game events, storylines, quests. Much harder to implement but I still want to try.

What I wish he (and the programmer guy) would work on is optimizations though, by mid game in a large galaxy I get lag. The game's 2d sprite based and "large" galaxy is 85 stars. Shouldn't have any lag.

Which makes sense for a few reasons considering that Earth's space tech is still rather primitive. Not needing to use water on shaving regularly would be quite handy, and while not a serious concern it would in a small way contribute to the overall cleanliness of the ship, since in a contained environment like that, keeping dust and other dirt to a minimum is a benefit.

Piloting a ship and an airplane are two entirely different concepts, and spacecraft have more in common with aircraft than surface vessels. Submarines are a bit different, but the Helmsman on a sub is severely micromanaged by several NCO's and Officers at once, its fucking boring as hell. The helmsmen/pilot disconnect in spacecraft is a ass-pull by authors to justify the "Space is an Ocean' trope in their fiction. It also doesn't help that much of the audience is so brainwashed by Hollywood that they can't wrap their brains around spacecraft not being boats.
