What a good system for playing a multiverse campaign, where a party could consist of an elf wizard, a cyberpunk thug, a superhero, a Soldier from the Korean War and a talking cartoon armadillo, that isn't GURPS?

AFMBE is shit. Aside from horrible formatting and bad editing (what is a success level? the book never says!), it makes you reference an unintuitive table for every roll, has single die resolution (shit) with exploding 1's and 10's (troubple shit) that remove/add to your total, has jank, separate formulas for deriving attributes like HP with weird scales like 18-58 for humans, which reeks of bad design, and fucking with damage multipliers constantly. It's so inelegant and jank. Nothing flows mechanically. At least they were smart and ripped off GURPS for advantages/disadvantages (just divide the cost by 5, no one will notice) and skills, since it's a comprehensive list for generic games with good design.

Only thing I don't think could easily be done would be the cartoon armadillo. Other than that, I'm pretty sure there'd be templates for all of them.
Only difference is, in TORG's setting, all the multiverses are invading Earth.
