>Horror on the Orient Express
>Masks of Nyarlathotep
>Beyond the Mountains of Madness
Those are the big three, I think. Well researched, interesting books with insane attention to detail. I mean, I think the current edition version of Horror Express clocks at close to a thousand pages.
All are for groups ready to be in for the long haul, though. They're basically campaigns rather than scenarios.

The party have to get X thing/person, mundane would be better, where ever X is is weird and creepy and get progressively more so till they go insane. That's all.

These are great. Don't run them as your first outing.

The Things We Leave Behind has some pretty good ones, Forget Me Not is probably my favorite.

Fuck off, frogposter.
there's a ton of anthologies with a lot of good stuff in them. Pick up Mansions of Madness, or (more) Adventures in Arkham County.
For a Sandbox setting, check out Return to Dunwich.
'Clutching at Ignorance' is a good intro game.
