The creator is long gone, but I've always applied teachers bonuses at the first level, then second if you took the same one twice. So Nyxeris would give you Charisma 1, Shadowcraft 1, and Lore of the Abyss 1 for free and you'd pay for the next tier after that as normal.

Spend some time making some extremely advanced range weapons. If I'm reading the description of slayer right, as long as I make weapons that work out to 20km I'll be able to attack from complete surprise since the targets would have to see me to be alerted. Avoid one and many's and imperial majesty's while I'm doing this since they're annoying to kill.

Once I have all the titles, work on figuring out which artifex's are worth befriending.

The plot's sloppy as shit, and characterization slips and slides all over the place. The narrative's a complete mess. A lot of shit is vaguely explained, and doesn't make sense. Nearly every chracter is a retard of one stripe or another.
Some of the fight scenes are fun. They also had a few neat ideas. Just don't look at the plot or characters too hard and you can enjoy the show.

A conclusion is exactly what I think it needs, but none of my ideas stuck, or were hard to conceptualize as a CYOA section. Some ideas included a milestones section or a blatant quest section, but those are hard to justify.

I think I want to go with a "co-op" route, where the student accompanies you in your profession for a whole semester. I think it would wrap things up nicely and would deepen the idea of the mentor-pupil relationship (right now it's kind of vague). The problem is that I haven't figured out how to exactly make this a section yet. I have some ideas but they're weak for now, and I don't want to really spoil it further.

I'm not, though. I was under the impression that GoA didn't have an "official" option of using it as a CYOA, and acted accordingly. It'd be nice if it was given some "proper" CYOA mechanics (instead of the current "just pick whatever, nobody cares" approach). Bolding rolls/choices and the results thereof (or otherwise making them stand out) would be great, too (especially when they're located somewhere within a lengthy paragraph as opposed to at the start of one).

The implication that you don't understand the fact that there's a limit to how much detail per option a CYOA can give without it becoming inconvenient. This is a perfectly acceptable balance between providing concrete details about a more realistic person than your average "waifu" (and as you said yourself, since they tend to be very internally consistent it's usually enough information to fill in the blanks) and making each option a hundred page affair complete with a detailed biography and the answers to a dozen polls and questionnaires. This is a single choice old school girlfriend chooser, not an academic study.

I think you might think I'm against the cyoa or something, and if that is the case I'm sorry I probably didn't go at my critique the right way because I don't think it's bad at all. It's probably the best "waifu chooser" I can think of off the top of my head, I just think it's shallow by design and that puts some people off because they can't project what they want into that mold.
