These 12 were they only abilities the Court had time to make Elixirs for but the Kings of Zodiac has access to thousands of others.
Because they're being forced to activate, your powers manifest in much more diluted and weak forms than they would normally.
When you actually take the Throne your abilities will begin to awaken naturally and you'll soon reach "God-King" levels of power.

the balance update seems to help, you can summon high-tier stuff now. Still not sure how Soul Mate works, though.

What does demiplane and Magic Domain do? You get a pocket dimension. Are you somehow in charge of it? Can you communicate with the demon it's made out of? It's hard to associate the different laws of physics with a specific demon, or figure out how that would be useful. Like what would be the difference between a demiplane made out of Wisdom vs Fenrir?

Building a single character isn't that hard, it's only a page and a half or so. I don't particularly like this cyoa just for the escalating costs on skills and magic - it means the order which bonuses from other sources are applied matters a hell of a lot, to the point where it's annoying.

That most of its length is devoted to picking companions also isn't the best choice of focus.

Is it okay to make a story-like cyoa where the player goes through various events and can die or lose stuff if he makes bad choices? I want to make a hybrid of that and a standard cyoa where character development part is a "story" and the second phase is a normal cyoa where the player makes the usual choices and is free to use his imagination in the rest of his adventure(s).

I brought this up a thread or so ago, but I'll go over it again.
Being the King of Zodiac gives you "Perfect Immortality." You don't age, can't be killed and won't die unless you want to.
All the previous Kings either decided that they'd had a good life and simply allowed themselves to die or stepped down from their position and fucked off to some obscure corner of Zodiac or Earth to live out their retirement in peace and quiet.

King Zodiac XV chose to die because his life had become too much for him to bare any longer.

As far as your build is concerned, I have yet to see anyone who's straight up posted an impossible to accomplish or just stupid idea.
I think you'll do fine if you're smart about it.

Also, here is my strategy:

Powers: grace, vit, and telekinesis.

Start with Scarlatina, because she's the best, and seems powerful, and allows mistresses. So basically the main goal is have as many mistresses as possible while ending the conflict without bloodshed.

Then move onto Catherine. Catherine doesn't want anything to do with the violence, and desperately wants kids. Approach her and convince her I'll give her all the kids she wants if she joins us.

Next is Vignette. She has no offensive powers, and is fairly innocent. And it doesn't say anything about her not wanting to be a mistress. At the very least we could convince her to join us as to end the war without bloodshed. Her joining as a mistress would be a bonus.

From there we go to Tali. Tali is close friends with Vignette. It effectively takes her out of the fight, as she's unwilling to see Vignette hurt. Convincing her to join should be a cakewalk. Unfortunately she states she wouldn't want to share with the other girls, so perhaps the mistress option is out.

And then we have the numbers advantage. Continue moving from the least threat-capable girls (like Abi) to finally the higher threat, and it's a slam dunk. Harem complete.

Going to be heading out to the stars, got 99 problems and still counting it seems but what's life without a little risk, and the King Fisher is one that should grow stronger by conflicts we surpass.

I think the immortality combined with slow regeneration and loss of sense of pain will help out, plus staying calm through out the whole thing should be a boon.
