Yay for grenades
>if a unit does not move, its cover bonus from being in a ruin is increased from a +1 to their Armour Save to +2
>yfw trying to shift terminators with a 0+ save out of ruins
>>53372400
The armor increase in the second turn is Cities of Death only. And 95% chance that 1s still fail.

But seriously, they will still fail their save on a 1.
Arent these rules special cities of death only rules?
>>53372400
They basically said power armored units or better become practically invulnerable. You'll need some massive save modifiers to dig em out. Makes Imperial fists seem like they'd be right at home.
>the utopian worlds of ultramar
>by imperial standards anyway
Yeah, because an entire realm of 500 planets with perfected greco-roman society and wardian levels eliteism isn't even close to our standards of utopia

It looks like the statement that infantry get +1 sv in ruins is universal, but the stratagem and the save improving are gamemode-specific.

Short version for Ork players:
If you run foot-slogging boyz, this optional add-on theme is can benefit you if you're facing vehicle-spamming opponents (looking at you Riptides!)

Of course they still fail on a one.
But even things that used to be ap1 D-weapons are only ap -4 now. That's still going tyo bounce off a 0+ half the time.

Pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo

Which roughly corresponds to a 4+ cover save
>>53372547
No it doesn't. Present day cover saves mean jack shit because everything ignores them anway. This is more like a 5+ invuln, given that its what youre left with after piling on all the modifiers you can.
>>53372471
But +1 save in all cover is a thing now so it doesnt seem like ruins are unique except in cities of deff
>>53372622
But terminators already had a 5+ invuln, so all that cover actually did nothing.
