How is the Sniper not chaotic evil?
He literally throws piss at enemies and calls everyone wankers.
He thanks his enemis for having big heads and is generally pretty fucking chaotic.
If you're going by the trailer, it's pretty much how he sees himself
Just like the scout claims to be a "force of nature" despite being one of the weakest classes, the sniper claims to be honorable despite being a total asshole
They're all telling their own story in the trailer, that's why they're always shown as being total badasses. Scout would never be able to kill Heavy with his 30 dmg per hit bat, but since he's telling the story, in the trailer he somehow manages to do it
The medic's ubercharge lasts only a few seconds in-game, but in the trailer it lasts enough for Heavy to kill an entire army of soldiers. That's without talking about the fact that he was using the quickfix, the one that can't ubercharge, you know.
If you go by the comics, the only exceptions are the Spy(actually cares about his son) and Heavy, which I agree with you on being True Neutral.
Pyro would probably be lawfull neutral or chaotic good, since he believes he's helping people, instead of knowingly murdering everyone like the rest of them do

I see the reasoning for Neutral Evil, since he submitted to the authority of a sovereign nation, but he was awful at following the chain of command in the military and still pretty much did whatever he wanted throughout the game. He also laid waste to society which is about as chaotic as it gets.

Now this is Neutral Evil. Pure self interest at any cost, but also very self aware and seeking structure. He manipulates the rules and twists them in his favor.

Even when he essentially became a God, his methods remained somewhat subtle, manipulating the Kushan into legitimizing him rather than a direct approach.

Nah. People just idealize him now but he hasn't transformed into some paragon of virtue. He's still just as capable of doing whatever it takes to reach his goal. It just so happens this is his best option for taking care of Casca.
