8th edition is coming really really soon (rumors say next month) and it will invalidate ALL current books and codeces.

It's also going to be awesome. GW has been giving us tidbits and previews of coming rules changes and they are mostly really good. So look forward to that.

If you like the current Blood Angels marines range now then get them because they will be phased out most likely.

If you like Primaris marines more then wait for Blood Angels specific kits.

To be honest I would wait for 8th edition to drop. Everything will change and there is no knowing what will stay the same.

I would buy a tactical squad and paint it in the meantime. Get your painting skills up and running again.

I quit right after 7th hit. After playing for most of 4th and all of 5th, all of 6th.

8th looks AMAZING. I'm super fucking excited. I'm painting models again and everything. Its been a long few years.
