It's more that the game in question isn't popular. Most people near me play Kings of War and Runewars instead.

Because we already have two sequels in the form of The Ninth World of Numenera and the 13th Age. Diehard grognards likely haven't stopped playing 7th Sea so honestly 9th Age really is the reheaded stepchild of the line.

Because they're basically making their own thing for "copyright reasons" at this point instead of remaining remotely faithful to the source material and facilitating a continuation instead of their personal rewrite

Because Age of Sigmar is the bigger and better game. No one really cares about 9th Age.

Because whfb barely had a presence on /tg/, and 9th age takes the worst of it and tried to exist simply to spite AoS

It's being persistent merely with a few angry neckbeards, but AoS' success is a testiment to go unnecessary it is.
