Pathfinder General /pfg/

How professional are your characters? Do they ever painstakingly write up/take contracts for the jobs they perform?

>How professional are your characters?
Usually not very. Even the ones that are literally employed under contract don't worry about it too much, because they'll gut or curse folks that try any funny business.

>Do they ever painstakingly write up/take contracts for the jobs they perform?
Never, because I haven't had a chance to play an Asmodean Advocate yet.
>>
>>53281746
Basically, it gets magic traps that take a standard action to set up, deal 1d6+Int mod damage or have conditions with Int-based DCs, and get 3/4ths sneak attack progression but also adds about the same amount as scaling damage to their traps. The higher-level magic traps can also include dispels, difficult terrain, etc.
>>
>>53281736
>Character A
Not professional at all, that's why he wants to become an adventurer so bad. His brother was the responsible one who thought about contracts, he just wants to fight monsters and rescue the weak.

>Character B
Not professional at all, he just tries to do the right thing.

>Character C
Moderately professional. Usually trusts someone else to write contracts, and just takes a good hard look at them before he signs anything. Insists on getting paid his fair share, does his job as requested, and only rarely goes off the letter of his contract. In those rare cases, it's usually to execute someone who's too much of a scumbag to be brought in alive.
>>
>>53281934
Nobody is a rogue (true professional).

The party is going to a wizard's tower where a time-travel accident went horribly wrong. What could I put in it?
>Battle with monsters, party has been sped up 2x
>Battle with monsters, monsters have been sped up 2x balanced in some manner
>Puzzle room that's caught in a time loop
>Rooms from the past/future of the tower

Why wouldn't you write up a contract? It makes getting paid so much easier.

MC Escher rooms, because time and space are interconnected.

The PCs meet one of their future selves from after a sudden TPK. The future self lives just long enough to tell them the weakness that lets them trivialize the next encounter.
>>
>>53281736
>Albert Blacktree
Not particularly professional. Sure, he won't break the job parameters for his own gain, but his life comes first, and if the job ends up involving something he morally disagrees with, he'll back out.

>Rekannas Haelcant
HE IS THE LAW! That being said, his missions probably involve more receiving a written order and performing it to his best.

>Oskar Stroud
Professional in that he won't break the conditions unless his employer backstabs him first, and will do something unsavory even if he regrets it, but the moment the job is completed, the employer is a potential target if he feels like screwing him over.

For a confusing room layout, take a look at a tesseract, and take three or four of the cubes and map them out as 20-foot rooms with doors in the walls/floor/ceiling that connect to the relevant cube. Make the rooms distinctive (so it's obvious that something crazy is going on), but make the PCs figure out for themselves how to find which door leads out of the loop.

>>
>>53282622

>>
>>53282795
Well on their world a while continent is ruled by giant true dragons, in their own dragonrider country that is essentially giant aeires in the sky and giant cliffs, humans form bonds with lesser dragons to ride in defense of the barbarian hoards or other knights led by true dragons to steal their hoards. One of the worst insults is dragonfucker, but there is still a population of halfdragons among their ranks, so probably among the dragonriders it might not be that bad. With others its probably bad.

I'm kind of a new player myself, ive written three application so far. I don't know what the average is for anyone else but it feels like I'm not going to get into any of them, not for any lack of trying on my part. Between all the memes, shilling, and two paragraphs biographies... And I have to spend hours pouring over setting books to fit the tone but still fall short... What am I even doing this for?
>>
>>53282833
Oh great, now that one dude's going to submit Amalthea to another game.
>>
>>53282856
Remember, you can always send your app through PM. at least 5 people so far have done it for mighty quest and iron gods.
>>
>>53282854
Are you talking about Distant Worlds, which has almost no mechanics in it, or a different book?
>>
>>53282833
Its a possible bamboozle at the moment
>>
>>53281736
My most recent character is about 10% criminal and 90% businessman. Whereas the other players see the immediate profit in adventure,he goes for long term investments. The campaign has us exploring undiscovered lands, so naturally he has been involved in seeking out everything that could be sold for a profit at home. Natural resources are about the tamest option, things like minerals or plants that can produce helpful effects. Largely though, he's in the drug and 'indentured servant' trade. Pretty and exotic individuals excited to see a foreign land? Perfect targets. He's never lied to anyone, though.
>>
>>53282833
You didn't read all the way. Roryanon's keeping it open and thinking about it, but will most likely continue ahead with some cutting-of-the-chaff; no joke-apps, a more clear and obvious goal of what characters should be like.
>>
>>53282851
Pls treat him right. Give him a happy end. Let him have at least that. Please? Please?
>>
>>53282869
Its Castrovel but on one novel they went to talk to the dragonriders to get a specific magic item from their hoard to trap a dragon on golarion
>>
>>53282865

>>
>>53282902
Probably not bias-wise, but thats how people deliver quality apps without getting lost in the memes

>>
>>53282887

>>53282954
I just like happy endings. I never said he deserved it. Just that I'd like to see him have one.

I know breath weapons are a fun gimmicky sort of thing but is it possible to build/optimize a character around them?
>>
>>53283000
Why, out of curiosity? Many, if not most, people would ask for exactly the opposite?
>>
>>53282225
What would the story behind such a character even be?
>>
>>53283004
you'd need something comparable to the Dragonfire Adept from 3.5. If you can convince a GM to let you convert that to pathfinder, you should be good.
>>
>>53283034
There's nothing outside of that? That really blows.
>>
>>53283056
It's not exactly something players commonly use, and those creatures that have breath weapons are very rare.

The less it's used by players, the less likely it is to get player options. Since it's utterly unlikely that players can get access to breath weapons, it just doesn't happen to get any player utility buffs.
>>
>>53283075

1. What is the average campaign length, if any, of pfg games. If you have no clue, preferred length is fine.
2. Gestalt y/n
3. Are there any particular themes you haven't seen in /pfg/ games before that you really like?

Avowed can use breath weapons as their Aether Pulse, 1d6 per 2 levels at will, with tons of ways to add different damage types, extra damage, riders, etcetera.

Spherecasters can give anyone a breath weapon dealing 1d8 per 2 CL, usable once per 1d4 rounds.

1. A year or so, probably. But shorter is fine so long as it ends in a satisfying way.
2. No preference on gestalt, I've done either one and it was fine.
3. I want some Weird Fantasy in the vein of Morrowind or Kill Six Billion Demons. Kung fu, philosophy, metaphor-becoming-real, beggars becoming kings and vice versa, L O R E
>>
>>53283125
Of course, but there are a lot of mechanical concerns to a pathfinder campaign which can drastically change the length without altering the story much beyond some pacing.
>>53283142
I plan on altering the normal app process to be a bit kinder, basically having a lot more communication between the DM and players through the process so things don't have the whole affair doesn't have to reek of anxiety.
>>53283152
You're in luck, chivalry and heroic knighthood, at least in aesthetic, was one of the themes I'd already decided on.
>>
>>53283138
Everyone deserves happiness anon. But not everyone gets it. So if everything else is considered equal, I'd rather read a happy end then one that isn't.

Please, anon.
>>
>>53283187
>>53283102
Seconding the kung fu. A high-wushu style setting would be fantastic. You could flavor so many monks and other classes to have a wushu style to them it would be amazing.
>>
>>53283102
Please no gestalt.
>>
>>53283102
1. No PFG game has fully run its course yet. Personally, I'm up for any length, provided the story can hold up that long.

2. Probably not. I enjoy the build opportunities presented, but it's not worth the additional hassle on your end.

3. Political Intrigue, Conspiracy, Cult Horror, Cosmic Horror. Not necessarily all the the same time, but those themes have been severely lacking from all /pfg/ games I've seen.
>>
>>53283187
>>53283207

>>53283221
You can be an ascetic monk with your alms bowl and prayer beads, Ill be a chaotic drunken master with levels of barbarian
>>
>>53283162
Don't forget, Spherecasters can also double the size of any breath weapon. Not just the one they give, but any other breath weapon you might pick up somewhere. Whether this combines with Aether Breath is up to your DM.
>>
>>53283102

Kami are nature spirits and minor gods of creation. Almost any item can have a kami or turn into one, but not everyone does or needs one.

Fey are chaotic creatures from the first world, numerous and powerful, and they don't truly die in the first world. They were the god's first attempts at creation but they did not really work out the way they wanted.

>>53283250
I'm incapable of running campaigns that's aren't ultimately entirely resolved by how you roleplayed and interacted with the plot and characters. I love mechanics and combat, but I love stories more.

Also I honestly just don't think I have the skillset for a lewd campaign, so while I don't have anything against such themes, there is no chance I'll be tilting the campaign towards it. That being said, courtly themes are go so courtly romance stuff is likely, I'm pretty sure that's not what people mean by lewd here though.

Anyway thanks for your input everyone! I'm not certain, I'll want a better idea of my schedule before I really post anything so as to ensure there is no bamboozle.

Speaking of the mighty Quest oh, I was curious if anyone knew the answer to this thing that was bugging me. Ive been wanting to play a character with a fondness for dragons breath ammo for awhile now, but the misfire chance is brutal period is it possible to reduce the misfire chance of dragon's breath ammo? Maybe an ability, or via a reliable firearm?
>>
>>53283510
If you are looking for a non-combat game, why would you even choose Pathfinder though?
>>
>>53283528
Yeah, reliable can reduce misfire rates, gunslinger grit abilities can too. I think the greater lucky enhancement can too.
>>
>>53283541
Because this is where games get played, Anon.
>>
>>53283221
I think there's a lot of opportunity to make a journey to the west campaign. Especially with how fond people are around here of furries
>>
>>53283547
It's not that simple though. Dragon's breath follows its own misfire rules. Looking at the reliable enchantment so that it modifies the misfire chance of the firearm.
>>
>>53283257
What would a quest about such a thing even entail? Having to go around Golarion and get travel rights for the Elder?
>>
>>53283587
Yeah, but if you have a blunderbus with it's already high misfire, if you lower the base misfire it makes room for more misfire to take its place without being too big.

I agree with this. Though I just recently watched the new chinese wu kong movie and now I really want to collect relics from old kung fu master gods

Tonight, on Legacy of Blood and Fire, we last left off with the PCs trying to fight their way up a tower full of gnolls!
>The janni warrior leading the gnoll tribe is waiting up on a balcony at the top of a tower
>Stairs? Ain't no Orlan got time for that!
>With his enlarged reach, he grabs Gamze and starts just jumping, grabbing, and hauling himself up onto the upper balconies
>Shanan and Aida end up parleying with a harpy
>She wants the leader, Kardswann, dead
>They tentatively agree, and she fake-fights them while pointing the way to the next flight of stairs
>Iolanthe tells gravity to fuck off and starts walking up the walls after Orlan
>Aida charges ahead--again--and almost gets herself made into a GNOLL SANDWICH
>Haleen jumps from a hiding spot and shanks the gnoll trying to flank her!
>As Orlan gets up to Kardswann's balcony, he realizes the janni is under some kind of enchantment
>But no matter, he and his flind bodyguard are raring to go
>Shanan, Aida, Essa, and Haleen are hacking their way through the last gnoll patrol to get up to the third floor
>The flind bounds forward, and almost disarms Orlan
>A timely hero point lets him hold onto his sword long enough to Zenith Strike the beast in half, denying it the chance to disarm him!
>Kardswann charges, displaying how he dabbles in Primal Fury, and Orlan just barely manages to parry his blow at the last second.
>The harpy lady sees her chance and moves in to flank the janni
>One attack with her morningstar is accompanied by "THIS is for every time you beat me!"
>The second attack comes with "And THAT'S for being a lousy lay!"

>Gamze tries misfortune, and Kardswann aces his lowest saving throw
>Gamze spends a hero point to use Binding Earth, and Kardswann botches his highest saving throw
>Seriously he only could have failed on a 2 or less
>But he can fly
>Orlan blows his last hero point to get maneuvers back, parries an attack that would have taken him into negatives
>One last chance to take the janni down, puts everything into it
>FINALLY puts him on the ground
>The others head upstairs, gently informing the last two gnolls standing that they're the last two gnolls standing
>Everyone seems to think that Kardswann needs to be put down so he doesn't escape via plane shift or similar
>Shanan arrives just in time to see "his" old ally on the ground, looking like he's fallen a long way since the glory days
>It's the sword talking, but he's a good Sarenite and can't let a man just get executed
>Tries to talk some sense into the genie warrior, manages to make him remember Vardishal, apparently the spirit contained in Shanan's sword
>Kardswann mentions the name Zulthos as the creature that broke him down
>The PCs are debating how to keep him prisoner
>Shanan spends a hero point to try and keep Kardswann from rising again, trying to bring him to his senses
>Gets a 20--Kardswann goes for his axe
>And kicks it off the balcony so he can't grab it again
>Then fades away, disappearing and promising to get as far away as he can before his madness takes him again

>Seems to think that she needs to buy Gamze's freedom from her family, and got herself deep into debt trying to raise money
>Had to high-tail it to Kelmarayn and start fighting in an arena for prize money
>The KO'd monsters that weren't killed get rounded up and dumped in a pile
>PCs get some drinks from the one-eyed gnoll bartender
>Start hitting the sauce real hard
>Shanan is still kind of sulking over his crisis of conscience
>Essa decides to have a little fun with Wahida due to her makeup being mostly berry juice, blood, or worse
>Casts create water
>Harpy has become enraged!
>While everyone laughs, she leaps onto Essa and starts tearing at her clothes
>Just barely avoids revealing her gender due to trying to cover her face and screeching about how she's ugly
>She's not, of course, except for maybe a few scars
>Shanan manages to calm her down by holding her and telling her she's pretty before evening out her hair a bit
>Haleen has been sharing some wine with Gamze in her own room and catching up
>She isn't quite sure whether she's Gamze's actual sister, but treates her as such all the same
>Orlan and Shanan have a heart-to-heart and reconcile over their attitude towards fallen opponents
>Gnoll bartender offers prisoners Kardswann had taken, since by gnoll rules the PCs won all he owned

Amir would probably have to be foreign too, though, really. Katapesh nomads aren't that Turkic, are they? I thought they were more Bedouin trash than that.
>>
>>53285190
They're a mishmash
>>
>>53285190
When I say foreigner, I mean people born and raised many thousands of miles away in a different country. There's an Osirian, which isn't too much of a stretch, then a woodland elf who went native in Katapesh, and then there's just a big northern brute in full plate who doesn't fit at all into the setting.
>>
>>53282874
I predict TSS falling apart soon.
Nobody's expecting Rory to /pick/ the joke apps, but actively deleting them means that people will lose interest in the app spectacle, and so the game will get less attention in general, and fewer additional serious apps.

Heavy talk about changing apps to fit the tone might also discourage a number of the current applications, and the overall drop in enthusiasm will make Rory decide it's not worth it to run.
>>
>>53285236
That's too bad. I was hoping for an opportunity to get close to DHB's character for a little R&R at some point.

Overlewd was such a fucking mess because the DM wouldn't make any firm statements on tone
>>
So what kind of adjustments should you make for ABP?
>>
>>53285353
I still believe Fluffy Tale was entirely a grand scheme ruse. Fluffy 1 anon acted like they got bullied out of it but immediately made the Fluffy 2 account and switched personalities to give the reboot an air of integrity built off /pfg/'s guilt over Fluffy 1.

They bamboozled pfg twice.

>>
>>53285428
Why the natural armor bonus, anon?
>>
>>53285473
It's the most useless type of AC bonus there is.
At higher levels, AC quickly becomes obsolete as a primary defense anyway, and the real threats are touch attacks, which natural armor doesn't help against.
>>
>>53285512
Not having AC is still much worse than having it.

Being hit by two iteratives is a lot less unpleasant than getting hit by four.
>>
>>53285512
"AC becomes worthless" is an awful meme that's probably killed a lot of PCs. Attack bonuses on monsters don't get high enough for that to really be true, unless you think an AC that gives enemies anything better than a 5% chance to hit you on their first attack is worthless.

Even fucking CRB only fighters and barbarians with no feats invested in defense can pull an AC high enough to matter against CR 18+ monsters on a budget, and most classes have access to better options.

1) The average campaign length is unfortunately somewhere around 0 sessions. This is in no way preferred but simply due to a very large number of aborts - sometimes in the application phase but most often somewhere in the vicinity of "an intro session this week" (never happening).

2) Rather than yes or no it's instead relative to what level of power you want the PCs to have in relation to the world around them. It's likely preferable to grant a small number of extra abilities to some of the weaker classes/builds once the group is chosen; Vigilantes don't need no help, but if they've got a non-unchained monk in the group, maybe the latter could use a free VMC or something.

Gestalt is also less required if tax feats are covered by the various consolidation houserules like "elephant in the room". Much of the fuckup on some classes is caused by having nothing more than your levelling feats yet needing 4-5 feats for the build to even come online properly, usually due to shit design of the "look it's totally working by 20th lol" variety.

3) Well there's certainly no lack of "lewd" stuff so there's no need for more of that. Seriously. There was gonna be a mecha/sci-fi campaign but it got aborted a few days ago. No one ever seems to want to run something in the style of starjammer either... But a GM that isn't making the game/story HE wants to run will end up not running the game at all, as we've seen quite often in this place.

On one hand, it lets you do stuff like attaching Phanton Thief URogue to any striker class for out of combat versatility.
On the other, there's your Warlord//Oracle, Aegis//Soulknife, or something akin that just bumps up the numbers and goes to town being at a much higher optimization level in its role.

>>53286998
Sorico.

Who doesn't want a medium sized space rabbit that can be a cute, cuddly dust bunny one moment and a bloodythirsty killing machine the next?
>>
>>53287090
Depends on the content you make available and how big of a bitch your players end up being. For example, a (Scaled Fist) UMonk||Avowed (Body) will likely make encounters a joke with no effort and be a monster to take down. An (Empiricist) Investigator||(Kensai) Magus will maybe blow up something if he's lucky, and have lots of utility, but won't break much. A fullcaster||anything will be as broken as they would be in a normal game, IE "only as much as the player tries to break shit", but maybe a bit harder to take down.
>>
>>53287159
*Phantom Thief
Also, as a third option, there's also the cool builds that usually aren't possible without gestalt like Sword and Pistol comboes or Enter the Vortex blast builds, but if they work, they generally end up being on the same side of the Warlord//Oracle and Aegis//SK even if they are much more unique and awesome.

Well, at a glance, assuming you're 16 Int, you've got 11/level skill ranks (minimum), +2 to three skills, unlocks for those three skills as though you were level 7. If you go half-elf, you can have Orator at level 1 and increase your inspiration bonus by +1/4th a level, which would mean a +1d6+1 from inspiration.

You also have the finesse from rogue to combine with your studied combat, which props you up slightly, though it's unlikely you'll get 1.5x Dex to damage on your weapons but it saves you feats so that's fine.

This isn't a full look, since I totally ignored what talents you'll take and what extracts you'll have, but you're sitting pretty good so far at just knowing all the things.

>>53287678
He's fishing for excuses. Doesn't mean they'll be good ones.

Once, a GM (not rory) cancelled after one session because we had "no party cohesion whatsoever".

See he'd done an intro scene for one of the players first, and - with no prompting and more than a couple of "okay okay we know, don't worry we'll keep going" from our end - had gone on monologues on things from how large a waitress' breasts were to just how a certain race makes their fucking chairs.

And then after explaining to the second player (of five) where he'd come from and why he was headed to <starter town>, four hours had passed, he had to go to work, and game had ended for the week.

Three days of no-responses later he declared our characters just weren't getting along like he'd expected a good party would at least be capable of doing, and that since we were so antagonistic to each-other he'd have no choice but to call off the game.

We'd never even fucking met.

Read the player guide dude. It's basically a campaign where you are all unfortunate bystanders getting caught in a war and have to lead a counteroffensive for the underdog. It has a fairly serious mood, at least from I'm getting.

No one is stopping you from reading the full AP though I prefer you don't because you are only spoiling yourself.

This is a PF game; you paying attention?
>>
>>53288043
You weren't excluding PG games. Just games for and by autists. This isn't one. If you think PF is for autist, you sure are acting like an autist yourself.

If you're just here to leech non-existant, non-PF games you should probably stop wasting your time, because there aren't any.
>>
>>53288043
>Campaign set in Golarion
>But not PF
Are you high?
>>
>>53287877
Why is this a question that gets asked every time an AP starts, followed by questions such as "how do we fit our character into the campaign" or "what is the campaign about?"

These APs have Player Guides that not only explain the campaign hook, and not only give you the tone and setting, but it even gives you ideas on how a FIGHTER or DRUID would fit into this particular campaign.

They only did the class thing in most, not for Ironfang. Also I'm still mad about Paizo recommending for people to play cold characters in Reign of Winter

What's the problem with recommending cold characters for a cold campaign?

You'd recommend townsfolk for an urban campaign.
>>
>>53288530
Because pretty much 90% of the campaign is atleast resistant, if not immune to cold damage, anon.
>>
>>53288530

Combat-focused game.

Literally every enemy is cold type or gets cold resistance.

Blame it on shitty design paradigms.
>>
Do we have a bestiary 6 pdf yet?

>>53288545

That's like saying you shouldn't play a Paladin in WotR because demons are immune to smite.
>>
>>53288302
You're obviously a strawmanning retard, no use explaining anything seriousky to you, right?
>>
>>53288623
yes, for 2 weeks now

>>
I've got a guy in my group who wants to play hell's rebels. How good is this ap?
>>
>>53288631
But they aren't. Demons are quite weak to smite. But yes, if the primary enemy is immune to your primary method of getting shit done you should consider a different concept.

If in this bizarro world demons are immune to a paladin's smite, they're most iconic class feature, then I would not recommend them in Wrath of the Righteous.
>>
>>53288365
Well I am, but its of course that i find nothing more suiting.
>>
>>53288664
I give it five out of five Starbucks, for the gaymers.
>>
>>53288689

Even in that case, WotR gives extra rewards to paladins and basically guarantees them devotion rewards for acting like paladins.
>>
>>53288631
A frost focused blaster, as the AP recommended, is essentially incapable of fighting on CR threats because he can't do damage to them. If he fights a frost immune creature he's essentially a commoner with higher Cha.
>>
>>53288704
Doesn't mean that it's a good idea to play one. If an AP rewarded being a kinetcist doesn't mean you should play one.
>>
Is there a way to disguise the use of spells?

For example, is there any way to make it so that if I cast a Will-save spell and the target successfully saves, they don't realize something tried to affect them?
>>
>>53288696
You should think better of /pfg/ and treat us as a resource.

Find a game that gets close to what you want and apply.
Check out the other apps. Make a note of the ones that fit the style you like.
If you get in, check out how the other players act/react.

From there, you'd be able to pick from people you'd like who improve your game experience or people you'd enjoy running for.
>>
>>53288722
What is wrong with paladins anonchan
>>
>>53288664

It's not the best written, and taking it seriously just makes that all the more apparent. Still, if you can keep a light, CG-friendly atmosphere going, it can work alright.
>>
>>53288727
The assassin prestige has something similar. But spells are pretty notable things.
>>
>>53288704
I don't want to imagine the butthurt that will erupt when a four paladin party gets Radiance.
>>
>>53288716
Which always begged the question why do so many frost focused blasters live there?
>>53288742
Lot's of things, but that's not being discussed. If in some Alternate Universes Demons were immune to smite evil, Paladins would not be a good choice for wrath of the righteous.
>>
>>53288771
Because the peasants aren't immune to ice you big goof.
>>
>>53288797
They aren't immune to fire either.

But all those monsters, dragons, ice trolls, and other things very much are and if I was a wizard setting up shop I'd worry more about those than peasants who may as well be insects to me.
>>
>>53288826
It's an ice realm! People who live in the ice don't develop a fondness for fire and warmth you dingus!
>>
>>53288190
Run a /pfg/ game, anon! That'll get your spirits rolling!
>>
>>53288850
But, the other suggestion for archetypes that I appreciated was a cold aligned invulnerable rager barbarian. Which strangely does fit well and goes against Paizo's example of cold focused casters.
>>

my PCs don't really enjoy encounter after encounter, and i don't really enjoy it either, so we usually have a maximum of two or three per day (and lots of days without any). but the game is structured to drain their resources in multiple encounters, a few is either too easy or kills them.

how do i create combat encounters that will make them sweat but with a reasonable chance of survival without draining their resources before with some fodder encounters?
>>
>>53288947
The GM was here earlier he said he would later tonight when he gets off work. So if you want to sneak in an app he said thats alright
>>
>>53288898
Elves. Cats are almost always horrible, and usually when I do meet a good one they could've been played as human with no problem.

Elves open up a lot of roleplay space. I'd sooner cut dwarves, halflings and gnomes than elves. I'd unironically pick cats over any of those three, gnomes are the only ones that can be interesting but they always have the worst players.
>>
>>53288951
Fudge rolls left and right, adjust monster stats on the fly.

That's how I do it. It's filthy as fuck but as long as my players don't know everyone is happy. TopKEK when they think I'm an amazing DM.
>>
>>53288951
Tough enemies have a second form they assume after one or two rounds of buildup.
>>
>>53288951

Make it more videogamey in encounter structure with weak glass cannons and sticky, tanky debuffers.

This will encourage pcs to expend more resources in individual encounters to shut out parts of the enemy's formation
>>

Bruh. I'm sorry, but there's only one other place that runs games CONSISTENTLY and CONTINUOUSLY on 4chan and that is /mlp/. They've got a nice little homebrew system that can handle low fantasy sort-of okayish.

Just do some stretches, get some air, and submit to one of the pre-Starfinder games being made.

What does Slayer do better than normal rogues? Is it more boring? Can you be a ranged fighter with it?
>>
>>53289236
Yeah, but I didn't want to accidentally summon Barney. Just wanted to give the guy other options besides ponies he can play as, such as a Donkey immune to mind control or a Buffalo who has big guts and can resist being ripped and torn.
>>
>>53289283
Slayers are better than rogues in basically every combat situation by a long shot. They can swing big weapons, they're very competent archers, maybe the only class under 1pp that makes TWF look decent, and option into combat maneuvers very well. Not really kings in most categories but they can mix combat styles and still be passable in other aspects of the game.

As far as playstyle goes they can pretty much do everything rogues do in combat with more options so I'd say they're more fun. Practically the only notable advantage rogues have is skill unlocks.
>>
>>53289292

It had to happen at some point so sure, lets have a pony discussion.

I am ashamed to admit ti but since this is pfg, bastion of degeneracy. I would say that I avoid mlp and despise pony posting because deep inside I find these ponies adorable. My favorite is that teacher with the bubblegum hair and thinking about her after seeing that one episode made me think that if I look at these things long enough or read about them often enough, my brain could go crazy and tell me its ok to be sexually attracted to these things.

I mean I'll be honest, if that bubblegum teacher (miss daisy?)_ was a party member or an NPC in a campaign I was playing in, I would probably try to fuck her, consequences be damned.
