How does /tg/ feel about cubes, and why?
I prefer a nice tesseract.

They make shitty d8s

Building on this.
If someone rolled a D6 twice. The first time for odds or evens, and the second time for 1-4 (reroll on 5/6)
evens: 1=1 2=2 3=3 4=4
odds: 1=5 2=6 3=7 4=8
Would this be the same as a D8?

They should be gelatinous when possible

Sure.
You could also flip a coin three times and take the result in binary as your d8.
I always liked the concept but I felt like they could use a few more sides

MUUUUUUURPH
cubefags go back to /math/, we already have a containment board for geometry porn, reeeee, etc.

Their packing efficiency is fantastic but I've got a soft spot in my heart for dodecahedrons.
