New thread once again.

In this thread, lets try something a bit different. If you have generic anime-style art, post it. Hopefully this'll help people get idea's for character concepts and the like. I'll post some of Rikizou's stuff as the thread goes on.

If people need the PDFs or any other part of the RAR outside of the link, i can give those separately. Just ask.

Anyone have questions? Stories? idea's? Help with a theme for a campaign?
>>
I'm curious. Are there rules for creating your own mononoke? Or do you just have to wing it if you want something that isn't a pre-generated NPC?
>>
>>53260167
Y'know, thats a good question. Lemme give the book a look and get back to you on that. Thats one thing i wanted to do as a thread sometime, but hadn't looked into yet.

If there isn't yet, there probably is in one of the expansions.
>>
>>53260193
Giving it a cursory glance, there doesn't appear to be anything about creating mononoke outright. However, we can make do without by using others of its type as a comparison.

I know one anon wanted to make a persona themed campaign, so that may include making a lot of mononoke.
>>
I'm still reading the game to understand it better.

I showed this game to my friends, and a couple were not a fan of the spirit pool system, in particular the fact that powers require specific rolls from your spirit pool.

People that have played this, what is your opinion on it?
>>
>>53261204
Tell your friends to stop being pansies.

There are methods to manipulate the pool itself. There are classes based around it, and even talents to reduce the cost.

Its a bit taxing at first, but its by no means crippling. It only seems bad if you haven't tried it. In action its much smoother than it sounds on paper.

What kind of players are they though? If they are hardcore powergamers that don't like variability in the slightest, they may not like any system that isn't 3.PF.
>>
I missed you
>>
>>53261270
One of them really prefers roleplaying over actual mechanics as "numbers aren't his strongest suit".
The other is a mixture of roleplaying and rollplaying, and mostly plays 5e dnd with his other group.
>>
>>53261341
Then huzzah, the social portions are just for them. The social stuff is mostly freeform, aided by checks and maneuvers.

The costs are not terribly hard to deal with, so far as memorization goes. Up until level 5, only half of your talents may even have a cost at all. Its easy enough to have written on a post-it note, and you only need 4 extra D6 die, which you can get at any store.

Numbers are definitely not hard to remember in this game. Most of the rolls are simply 2d6+mod, which will more often than not be written down, and not be modified by anything. if it is, its by your talents, which are really easy to math out. Simple addition at best. For rank, there's a table specifically for that, and you don't need to math out anything. just reference total rank+highest die roll, and bam. Base damage.

It is way less number heavy than it seems. At the same time, roleplay and refluffing isn't only possible, but encouraged, within logical limits. Any character they want to roleplay out, its pretty easy to do. There have been a scant few concepts we couldn't make and one of those had no abilities to speak of.
>>
>>53261425
Thanks for this info, anon
I will keep pushing for them to try this out!
>>
>>53261695
My suggestion is to have them play a game of it, and THEN judge it.

many things sound different on paper than how they play out in reality. Whether in a good or a bad way, the only way to truly know something like this is to actually do it.

There are plenty of premades, both characters and scenario's, so if they are really apprehensive, have them try playing one of those. If they like the feel of the game, then they can worry about making a character of their own.
>>
>>53261297
Don't worry. Thread misses everyone.

I'm taking a few days off between threads so anon's don't get burnt out.

I wonder if I can find a game where they run Kamigakari's system in the vein of God Eater or Code Vein.

With a few tweaks it might work.
>>
>>53264167
>with a few tweaks

Dude, you probably wouldn't need to even tweak anything.

Arc slayer is basically God eater characters outright. Without the eating thing, admittedly, but you get parts from defeated stuff anyways.

Aramitama are basically aragami as well. Rather, aragami are probably a post apocalyptic take on the concept of Ara Mitama anyways.
>>
>>53264289
True that, but we might have to take out the magic aspect. But those are all fluff tweaks.
>>
>>53264337
Yeah, those are real easy fluff tweaks.

Hell, elder mage could just be the guns from rage burst. Digital sorcerer could be Link-Burst.

The amount of fluff that would need changed in the core book is so minimal its hilarious.

Even some of the expansion style's could be explained pretty easy, like legacy user being first or second gen god eaters, contractor and divine talker could be something with blood powers, god hand could just be a "newly made" type of weaponless god eater. All god eaters are essentially arc slayer/legion at some level, so thats super easy too. The only one that would need heavy refluffing is time wizard, and even that isn't terribly hard.

The more i think about this the more i like the idea for it.
>>
>>53264511
If only we could find a group willing to run it.
>>
>>53264589
Well, you could DM it yourself.

Frankly, if people in this thread saw you were gonna start one, they'd probably hop on that shit like ugly on an ape.

It would require homebrewing a lot of enemies, but thats fine.
>>
>>53264620
There's no actual guidelines for mononoke creation yet, yes?
>>
>>53264637
Not really. Best you got is comparison to pre-mades.

That said, one thing god eater does a lot is reskin enemies, so if you make the base enemies, you can use them like in regular kamigakari and simply add talents or abilities as needed.
>>
In combat, when attacked, do you:

1. Roll Evasion/Resist/Insight (with possible influence dice) against Accuracy/Conjure.
2. If it's higher you dodge, and lower you get hit?
3. Then reduce damage by corresponding damage resistance stat?
>>
>>53264818
1. Yes.
2. Yes, active check beats reactive on a tie. (attack beats defense)
3. gonna add a step. use half effects here. Each half further halves damage. 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc.
4. Yes. Keep in mind if a talent is used that ignores armor or barrier.

Honestly the Human ability to manipulate the numbers seems to be the best freebie ability in the game by a mile, at least, if you're concerned about being able to toss your powers out quickly and easily.
>>
>>53270312
You would think so, but its only slightly more useful than everyone's ability to do the same taking 1 turn. Many classes get abilities to alter a spirit die on a stat check (most useful is the scions appearance check one).

Frankly, while that is a good one, its not broken good. Many races get some pretty broken stuff, especially now that the expansion for it is translated. or at least mostly translated.

>>53270335
Nice. This can really help people out. Oversimplifying too far is a bit of an issue for the core classes, but overall this is totally correct.
>>
I wrote this up recently as a superficial rundown of basic character choices for Players. Maybe it'll be helpful to some people.

Ask away if you have any questions.
>>
>>53270729

It's basically Anime Shonen Series: The RPG. You play someone who has spirit powers and tries to prevent the world from being destroyed by evil, whether it be by SUPERIOR TECHNOLOGY or punching it to death with your bare hands, or summoning your grandpa's 10,000 year old sword made of bullshittium.
>>
Found it.

It's Sakimitama.
>>
>>53270784
Or by being an adorable magical girl. Or any other which way you wanna slice it.

There's shounen, shoujo, and seinen versions of it.

You wanna go full grimdark and be guts? Go wild.

you wanna be the magical girl? Go wild.

You wanna be the superhero? Go right ahead.

Calling it anime shonen series is a bit more limiting than you'd think it is.

>>53270827
I knew it was one of the mitama. Couldn't remember which exactly.

Would it be a bad idea to make a character be both magic and physical based in this system?

Also if I was running a Boss, is it a good idea to give it double turns?
>>
>>53270964
>is it a bad idea for both physical and magic

Not at all. I'd go so far as to say its encouraged.

>boss
Not really. Most bosses have AoE attacks, high damage, and high health. They are already well and above the party, before adding talents. If you feel a boss isn't strong enough, look through the talents for mononoke and slap one or two on

While there are no rules for creating mononoke outright, making a boss (or Aramitama) is actually outlined in the "NPC Creation" part of the GM section
>>
>>53271074
I forgot to mention that a boss also gets its modifiers ON TOP OF the ones gained for being an aramitama.

Basically, to create a boss, you do it in four steps.

1. Choose a mononoke
2. Alter it into an aramitama using the set up guidelines. Alter values and add 2 talents +concept invincibility (which just makes them immune to anything civvies do)
3. Add boss modifiers on top of this. This includes more health depending on level and a specific amount of boss talents decided on by level (minimum 3)
4. Making a "Distortion" that may also help the boss if the players don't manage to seal it.

I'm here now. Stuff I saw needed answering: no, there is no method to create one's own Mononoke aside from guessing at appropriate values by comparing to equal-level enemies. (Rikizou needs something to put in R&R magazine after all.)

Sakimitama is indeed the Mononoke PC race, but it's nothing exciting or special, just literally another race like Scion or Cyborg but fluffed as a Mononoke. (Nigimitama is the other name for Divine Souls, by the way, as they are the opposite of Aramitama.)

It's been ages since I've looked at Shadowrun. I guess the only way they're similar is the huge lists of available items. From what I remember, I'd say this system is easier, but someone with more expertise can probably tell you more.

Kamen Rider is exceptionally easy. The 'Dragon Carrier' class was basically made for this.

Thanks. They can serve as good inspiration, or something to build a character from.
>>
>>53273439
Lots of good stuff. Mighty fine contribution to the thread.

>>53273961
Shadowrun is far more difficult. From making a character to simply attacking, there's several extra steps involved, making it not for the meek.

As for dragon carrier, you are correct. It can also encompass "Modes", or different states for characters, and Magical girls especially well.
>>
>>53273422
Kamigakari is way simpler than i would say most systems out there. Its easy to learn, hard to master type of deal.

Combat is super smooth, comparatively to shadowrun that has like, 12 steps in confirming a hit, 30 different ways to make a shot, etc etc.

You attack or you use an attack talent. You roll 2d6+Accuracy/conjure against their evasion/resist. Total up the damage numbers if you do hit, and deal that damage. Then they mitigate it by however much they can.

TL;DR this is WAY simpler than shadowrun.

Looks like a straight-up Cyborg Arc Slayer. Maybe add some Elder Mage for the drive?
>>
>>53275140
Most of them have a focus that works all to itself. Even the A/B style's have vastly different focus's.

For example, Arc slayer's A is sheer weapon offense, where-as B focus's on evasion and avoidance. Elder mage A focus's on magic damage, where-as B focus's more on support. Digital sorcerer focus's on spirit manipulation, and its A form is more offensive and its B form more defensive.

Basically, each one has special abilities that make it unique unto itself. Dark hunter is the only style able to move and make a ranged or magic action, as an example.
>>
>>53275140
It comes down to the Class Talents your are able to select, and there are way too many to go into detail here. Race is the same.
Each Class also adds points to a different combination of base Stats.

>>53275216
I'll keep this in mind, I'll see what I can do.
>>
>>53275236
That sounds a bit wishy-washy. How does weapon offense differ from magic damage?
And what exactly are those unique special abilities?

>>53275277
Do the classes have something like D&D 4e's class features that strongly influence how the class works or do these Talents follow a mechanical theme?
>>
>>53275379
>And what exactly are those unique special abilities?
All the classes and types have a fairly long list of unique abilities. It would take some time to list them all.
>>
>>53275379
>what are those abilities

Read the book. Notable examples are dark hunter being able to swap places with an enemy, dragon carriers get a transformation that boosts their abilities, digital sorcerer can manipulate spirit wholesale, elemental adept can control an element of their choosing, ETC. God hand is the only class capable of "Overcharging" regalia, and also the only one able to use improvised regalia, depending on if you took A or B. There's a lot of cool stuff each class does.

As for the difference between weapon and magic, melee weapons can be used after any type of move, and are evaded outright if the opposed roll succeeds. Magic damage can only be used if you haven't moved more than a square or if you are a dark hunter with the appropriate talents, and only gets halved on a successful opposed check. Physical ranged is inbetween. Magic weapons and talents also have more interesting side effects that they can have.
>>
>>53275379
It's more like class features I guess. The Talents adhere to the theme of the Class.
There aren't really any "tech trees", but different combinations of Talents allow the building of different kinds of characters, sub-themes of the Class theme, if you will.
It's kinda hard to explain, but becomes fairly obvious while reading the Talent entries under each Class.

Feel free to ask any questions you want anon, we'll do our best to answer them.
>>
Is there multiclassing rules in the rulebook?
>>
>>53277640
The style system is basically all about multiclassing.

you have 2 style's to start with. These can be any of the 12 style's, A or B version. Mix and match as you please. If you want more than that, you can grab more style's every fifth level.
>>
>>53277714
Oh neat, I must've skipped that while skimming through the book, thanks.
>>
>>53259996

Missed this thread. I know there really isn't much to Mononoke creation other than eyeballing examples, thankfully we will have enough for those examples after Kamigakari Anon translates them all.

I'm just wondering if there will be enough at least math ranges between power of level builds at the end to input data into a shreadsheet randomizer or something like Inspiration Pad. If so, I will be crazy enough to at least try
>>
>>53277787
I think the spreadsheet randomizer idea is a bit overboard.

Making mononoke isn't that hard since most of it is hard numbers. Just make some tweaks, add or subtract weaknesses, whatever. You could probably make a good deal of em in a single day if you really wanted too.
>>
>>53276545

Just don't ever get rid of all the symbology such as <<, ( ), [ ] , { } etc. because those add to the JTRP design style f SRS and other games. I'd be lost without them in Kamigakari's overall translated design look. I'd just plain miss them.
>>
>>53277838

I'm just hooked on randomizer for instant creation when having an impromptu or extended session of a game.

There are going to be enough examples, it's not necessary just speaking out loud and cloud-gazing for projects I would spend time with doing for me.

>>53277714

Mukticlassing was a strength I discovered leads lots to character backgrounds and feel along with mechanics. Especially good when modelling specific anime and manga characters.

At the moment there is no "creating things" Style (though such a thing does exist in the author of Kamigakari's other system, Sacred Dragoon, which is cross-compatible with Kamigakari). The best you could hope for would be to use the Legion style and sort of pretend by whipping out different weapons every round.

Hopefully Rikizou's next book for Kami includes actual styles. I'd love to see his take on Sacred Dragoon's Alchemist for Kami.

sacred.jpg

I've been really tired recently, but earlier today I decided to poke around the single replay Rikizou put out for Sacred Dragoon. I wanted to know how he might've balanced the Alchemist class in SD with Kamigakari's Artificial Regalia, since those don't exist in SD, and I thought I had read that the replay contained rules for what was basically Artificial Regalia.

I was kind of right, kind of wrong. Instead what I found was a system that, interestingly, explicitly tied to Alchemists (you literally can only engage with the system if someone has the Alchemist Type A Style in your party and also possesses the Fusion Talent), but was not Artificial Regalia. Instead it's more like a proto-Artificial Regalia, specifically proto-Additional Effects. The system is called Rare Materials, and basically what happens with it is it allows you to combine the Materials you get from Mononoke into a Rare Material, which can then either be used like a Material can, or synthesized into a weapon (basically the Material Synthesis system, which does exist in SD).

Assuming you have an alchemy lab and an Alchemist, you then need a certain Potency of Materials from specific classes of Critters (the SD version of Mononoke). For example, there's a Rare Material called an Ether Jewel. It requires 'Undead 3 + Chaos 4'. That means you need Materials specifically from Undead Critters that totals up to 3 Potency, and then the same for Chaos, but totals to 4. Once you have that, you fuse them together (there might be a Gold cost?), and then you get the Rare Material.

You can then use it for a whole-combat buff like Materials can, or fuse it to a weapon. In this case, the Ether Jewel allows the target to use an Equipped weapon as though it were a Magical Weapon, and can make magical attacks at Rank 2 with it. There are other effects, some minor (1/combat get +1 Rank) and some major (pick a Common Talent, and acquire that Talent).

Just an interesting thing I thought I'd share. Now back to Requiem!
>>
>>53291806
so alchemists are the forerunners of those making artificial regalia? thats pretty cool
>>
>>53291901
When I say proto-Artificial Regalia, SD came out before Kami, so it was more like a rules set that Rikizou hadn't yet finished, if that makes sense.

I look forward to seeing if he'll actually put out the True Creator Style mentioned in Chronos, because I think that'd basically be Kami-Alchemist. And I wanna see how it works with Artificial Regalia!
>>
>>53292107
More style's is always interesting. I like that he's managed to make 12 distinct style's with 2 distinct versions each. If he keeps that up, he could make whatever he wants.
>>
>>53292168
It'd be nice, yeah. There's six mentioned in NPC profiles in Chronos, so hopefully we'll see some of them.
>>
>>53291806

So this is closer to Monster Hunter style resource gathering and could have some merit for God Eater style games as well? Or Final Fantasy style materia gathering?

Dragoon sounds ever more cool as a fantasy variant to Kami. I'm hoping the True Creator Style is going to bridge that Gap like you hope!
>>
>>53292690
Well, this system sort of exists already in the material synthesis stuff in Kami. This Rare Material stuff is just sort of the proto-Additional Effects, but does have the flavor of being more MonHun/God Eater-y, yeah, true.

I can translate it some day, since it's all compatible, too! Can use Rare Materials in Kami.
>>
>>53292918
Also gives that wizardry feel of alchemy very well for Dragoon and the urban fantasy variety of needing the heart of an angel, the brain of a kitsune, etc for a goblin black market in the modern Kami sister-game . Also it also gives a reason for the hunters to become the hunted or story potential as a faithful Mononoke companion makes a body sacrifice to power-up the group before the big battle or for revenge stories as a comrade falls during a fight leaving brain, eyes etc. as a tool of vengeance.

Also, any extension to the existing material synthesis rules will make Tokyo Ghoul more likely for Kami.

A modern or even fantasy material gathering alchemist can also be reskinned into a card using monster summoner. Pikachu, I summon you using the cerebral cortex of my foes!
>>
>>53293384
>using the cerebral cortex of my foes!

Well that escalated quickly

I'd like to do a police/investigative branch of the government or Hamatora group set in a city like the K-stories split into rival gangs of power. The basic set up pretty much like the standard Kami timeline just darker where Mononoke prey on random humans not part of or protected by power gangs.

I'm thinking about setting it in a 20-30s fusion of Tokyo and New York with lots of anarchronisms, war is brewing with a Germany/Russian fusion so espionage and spy stuff as well. Way over-sized cyberspace.

Can I play a were-animal or like... an oni in this game?
Are there even other races in this game or is it humans only fighting monsters?
>>
>>53307717
Easily to both of those. There are several monstrous races, including darkstalkers, hanyou, dragon lords, and sakimitama. There are several more races, but those are more humanoid, and then there's cyborg. Its the odd man out on these.

Just find the one that best fits your character thematically.
>>
>>53307717
>>53307816
In bog standard Kamigakari, even races like Darkstalker, which are descendant from vampires and werewolves and stuff, still look 100% human, just with some slight unnaturalness to them (oddly colored hair and eyes, better looking than normal, etc). The trick is, each of these races still needs to fit in with human society, so even Divine Souls and Sakimitama (literally 'the monsters but human form') need to be able to walk around Akihabara without causing a stir.

So in short, no, there are no non-human races, visually speaking.

That said, there are a lot of ways to refluff, rework, or get around that. For example, the character has a more bestial appearance instead of spirit barriers, but only then. Or they hide their appearance through magic. Et cetera, et cetera.

The character I play in a friend's campaign is a Demon Eyed Contractor A / Legacy User A. I made up a backstory for her being part of the Mikannagi family, who are a branch family of the Kusakabe, a member of the Eight Orders of the Demon Hunter Society. Whereas the Kusakabe are seers, oracles, and diviners, the Mikannagi are their physical equivalents, are basically from birth are made to be their bodyguards, duelists, and such.

My character is a duelist who simultaneously hates tradition but begrudgingly thinks the DHS is the best of the factions because they're dedicated to helping people. So even though she is a duelist, her weapon is a motorcycle made of blue flames called the Pale Rider (which is her Godforged Regalia), and generally dresses pretty 'loudly' and not at all like a proper young lady should, so think stuffy DHS adults.

She hopes to one day find out what happened to Miyo Kusakabe, and also wants to live up to her cousin's example by being a big damn hero.

If the motorcycle wasn't a clue, I intend to eventually take Matched Pair and also Reaper of the Battlefield and wield either a huge scythe or the chain Godforged.

If you've trolled these threads at all, you've heard of the cumulative 2 exploits of my kamen rider, but if not i'll give you the cliffnotes.

My kamen rider is a dragon carrier B/Arc slayer A Scion. Very much so the kamen rider fourze "JUSTICE" variant of kamen rider.

In the first session i had, i tanked attacks while standing unphased, arms crossed. After this, i used 99 regalia and destroyers fang to make a makeshift "sunlight yellow overdrive", for you jojo fans out there. For supreme justice

In the second session, it started with us meeting 3 evil god hunters, 1 on 1. After they split, we followed what we thought was them to a hospital that was currently going through hell. Inside there was a dude that was like, stitched together corpses or some shit. Turns out, it was a super powerful demon in disguise. I would have justiced it, but as a player i know when to quit. After this our group split again, this timing finding a different one of the 3 bitches that attack. I pounded that bitch down through several floors worth of concrete, stuck the landing, and caught the girl that was with me using an improptu refluffing of dragon carrier B's guard ability.

Hmm, was thinking of a character backstory with Legion A/Dark Hunter B.

Probably some guy who went to live with his kooky grandpa who seems to be way into military shit and innawoods stuff. He learns that stuff from his grandpa because there was nothing better to do, and he seems to be especially good at moving around.

And then shit hits the fan, gramps turns out to be an old Godhunter, but as is customary, dies in the fight. Guy gets Gramps' shard and barely manages to fight them off before SpecProv intervenes. He joins them sometime later...something like that. I just pulled it out of my head right now.

Man, I'm the one who translated this stupid game, but somehow I completely missed that you roll your Spirit at the start of a game, and then only ever reroll Exhausted Spirit (at Scene End while Out of Combat, and at the start of a new round while In Combat).

More EOIII. General concept I imagine with this is "[Priestess/shrine maiden/lesser noble/something something family or social position] who is carefully brought up from a young age under seemingly odd guidelines written ages ago, just in case some [insert plot device here] happens. Generations have passed, and even though that thing probably won't happen, tradition and al-
oh shit it happened.
A woefully unprepared Chosen One that's still more prepared than anyone else, family heirlooms to guide and protect along the way, and plenty of opportunity for self-discovery.

Weird question here, but I have to ask because I know some of my players are big fans of Soul Eater. How would someone go about skinning Kami for a Weapon and Meister team-up?

As a related question, am I missing it or are there rules for comboing or two characters teaming up for a combined attack more powerful than they could have accomplished on their own?

Its late, I'm slightly blitzed, so forgive the odd questions.
>>
>>53272634

Also I was wondering which book the Sakimitama are in, so I can get a rough idea of when you'll be translating them.

I would be likely using them if I do the investigative team campaign idea I mentioned earlier. I may just lift the setting from a game called three book game called Kuro that got translated from French last year.

The basic idea of Kuro was that Tokyo and the surrounding area was lifted fromEarth and put into a pocket dimension after Japan was nuked in WWIII. The setting was very cyberpunk, which s another interest of mine.

After the transferred to the other dimension, Mononoke appeared, magic started working and most of humanity were tryingto either ignore the weirdness, figure out what the fuck was going on or taking advantage of the situation. That is a simplification, but it's a perfect set up that kinda dovetails with the base setting of Kami enough that it won't be hard to fuse the two ideas together.
>>

For the first one, simply have another character act as a "weapon". Synthesis and additional effects can be refluffed to be as a result of training and eating the souls.

For the second thing, i don't think there are rules for that as of yet.

Sounds interesting enough to me.

When you buy gear at character creation, can you throw a free â—‡ enhancement on it?
>>
>>
>>53322581
Only once. Doesn't matter what weapon or how many weapons you get, you only get the one free enhancement.
>>
>>53322581
You can only add the ones with the mark during initial character creation, but I don't think you can do it for free.
The other anon knows more so maybe he'll give a definite answer once he's awake.
>>
>>53322801
>>53322727
Ninja'd. Oh well.
>>
>>53322838
Thats fine, i'm the other anon you were talking about lol.

Anyways, yeah. It is free, and you get 1. Past this, it costs money or materials to upgrade your weapons, and there's actually no upward limit on this besides your financial ability to do it. You can have as many additional effects as you wish.

The only limit on additional effects themselves is on material synthesis, and this limit is decided on by your weapon or armor itself. More accurately, if its 1-handed, switch handed, or 2-handed.

One and switch hand weapons get 2 synthesis'. Two handers get 4. protectors get 2. Accessories get 1. This only applies as a hard limit to material synthesis though, and does not directly limit the additional effects you get from the weapon itself.

Sakimitama is in Four Guardian Gods. It's not that they're especially hard to translate in of the race itself, but they have some fluff surrounding them that I'd want to include. I cast Sakimitama as Mononoke-as-PCs, but they're a little different from that. Sakimitama are Mononoke that have experienced strong emotions and been converted into a different kind of existence. They still retain monstrous roots (they pick any one Class of Mononoke to 'be' for example), but it's not 100% just "hey here's monsters as PCs."

>>53321828
Thanks, but I've lined up some others for this!

>That's actually a sidebar that appears on the same page as the Divine Soul/Heroic Spirit things. No worries, though, it'll be worked in nice in the PDF.

That seems like an odd thing to put there, but okay.

To go along with your top thing though, anyone interested in aramitama, sakimitama, whatever should just look up mitama wholesale.

In mythology, the mitama are the 4 states of god like beings, with aramitama being wrathful, and nigimitama being the pacified version that people pray to as gods. Sakimitama is the aspect of blessing and prosperity, and kushimitama is the "wondrous soul", which pairs with the sakimitama. Its powers include bringing harvest, transformations, and curing illness.

This is just a general overview of it, and it goes a lot deeper.
>>
>>53325029
I'd turn the book into the entry of a Sanctum.
>>
>>53325216
what if the girl is contracted to the book, AND it's a sanctum?
>>
>>53325246
Could that work, rulewise?
>>
>>53325264
I don't see why not. Like i said, it would require a homebrewed contract mononoke, but otherwise its just fluff, and a neat idea for a session where the group goes into the book when it gets corrupted by something.

It doesn't actually change the crunch. just a lot of fluff.
>>
>>53325293
Bonus points if its played off normally as telling a tail when it does something, playing into the divine talker thing.

Also, when completing the sanctum, the book should change slightly.
>>
>>53325213
I think they put it there just for space reasons, really. They had some white space right there in layout and filled it with a note. Is what I'd guess, anyway.

And yeah, mitama are neat.
